With the 2K team grabbing up OS/NLSC talent, I wonder how much longer it will be before they call you fellas to work on the "Official NBA 2K Fictional Draft Classes". I wonder who I need to tweet about this to make it happen lol. Time for you guys to start getting paid for the work you put in on these classes.

That would be pretty incredible and it's something we have already talked about amongst ourselves. To be able to get paid and just do this all day. Well that would be a dream to be quite honest and I know the other guys involved in this project would agree with me 100%

Top Prospects Arrested
Maryland Point Guard Juan Patterson had a bit of a wild Halloween. Earlier in the day he announced that he would be attending the University of North Carolina following his senior season. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only headlines that he made. Not even 6 hours later, Patterson and several other teenagers were arrested for a suspected armed robbery. Juan Patterson’s mother, Tanya Patterson, claims that this is a case of mistaken identity but there are reports that footage is available that shows Juan not only at the scene but as one of the aggressors in the robbery. We will continue to report information regarding this story as it becomes available.

Eman Gilmore wants more respect for the Seminoles
Eman Gilmore is one of the best SFs in the nation and is more than likely the best senior in the country. Gilmore still feels that he and his Seminoles do not get the respect that they deserve. When asked about the Seminoles ranking of 11^th in the country he said, “I know this isn’t football but Florida State still has some tradition here. We also have results against teams ranked higher than us. We beat Florida, North Carolina and Duke last year who are all ranked higher than us. We’ll just have to show everyone again”. One thing is for sure though…. If the Seminoles don’t perform, Gilmore will. He will be a lottery pick next year at the worst and has a great chance to be a top five pick.

Louisville’s Tashawn Sullivan calls out any and everybody that’s listening
In a brief interview at a Louisville media event, Louisville’s star big man Tashawn Sullivan did not run away from the question “Is anyone better than Louisville”. When asked this was Sullivan’s response: “I accept the number 3 ranking that we received but none of that matters right now. Everybody 0 and 0 and in my head we the best team in the nation. When the smoke clears, we are going to be the ones standing there. Anybody that disagrees with that can see me”. One thing is for sure, Sullivan will have many chances to back up his words. I will be interested to see how star freshman center Dre Redd responds when the two meet later in the year.

Kentucky hitting the recruiting trail hard, and early
As of October, Kentucky had only received one commitment from a top recruit (#58 ranked high school prospect, shooting guard Steven Alabi). Within the second week of November, both SF Joey Champaign (#25 ranked high school player) and PF Terrell Robinson (#10 ranked high school players) have both verbally stated that they are leaning towards Kentucky. As usual, we will have more information for you as it becomes available but it looks like Kentucky is going to have another strong recruiting class next year.

Dre Redd reminds us why he is not only the best big man, but the best player in the country
Dre Redd could have easily been the number one pick if he bolted for the NBA after his freshman season, but injuries and a sub par season for his team convinced him to return to campus. In the teams first game against Lamar, Redd scored 23 points and grabbed 14 boards in only 26 minutes. After the game Redd said, “Still trying to get myself back in to form. It’s only going to get better from here”.

Happiness and Sadness in the state of Florida
The number 2 ranked Florida Gators dropped their opener against Florida Gulf Coast. While the Gators were stunned, Florida Gulf Coast’s star center Horace Lyon was not. Lyon who had 16 and 10 said that the team expected to win since the schedule was made available to them. “We respect the Gators. We respect all of our competition but we still think that we can beat anyone that we are put up against”. Lyon is moving his way up the big boards and is looking to have first round potential. The Gators need to go back to the drawing board. The final score was 67 – 63.

Top Players playing like top players
The Kansas Jayhawks are looking good and so is their star freshman Rahim Simpson. Simpson scored 22 points in a beat down of unranked Liberty 71 – 52.


Kevin Dexter III is performing like we thought that he would after his consistent freshman and sophomore years. The sophomore USC forward, who is known as one of the hardest working, high basketball IQ players in the country, had 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks against Cal Poly. Dexter was all over the court throwing his body wherever it needed to be thrown. More importantly, Dexter has appeared to take on a mentor/mentee type relationship with phenom freshman Rashard Wallace.

Fresno State missed a step
#20 Fresno State had a slight hiccup against Lipscomb. Their best player, Junior shooting guard Anton Bonnet, simply didn’t show up as he scored only 6 points in 33 minutes. “It was just one of those days man”. Sometimes you just can’t find the rim. I’ll figure it out”. Fresno State lost the game 57 – 54.

More high school stars announce where they will playing.
Two of the top high school big men have verbally committed. The 21st ranked high school player in the country, Center Mike Garcia has verbally committed to Georgetown.


The 39th ranked high school player, Center Jaquel LaRue has committed to the University of Connecticut. The 6’10 237 pound center says that he is ready to make his “presence felt from day one”.


Number one player in the nation, SG Dajon Ramero stated that he would be ready to announce where he would be playing but stated last night that he needed more time. According to an unnamed source, Ramero has narrowed it down to Tennessee, Memphis and Kansas.

Bombs away for Arkansas point guard Nathan Garner
Senior guard Nathan Garner has had two spectacular notes from the field in the team’s first two games. Last night against Abilene Christian, Garner went 6 for 6 from behind the arc and scored twenty points in an 81 – 64 win. Garner has not been the distributor many know that he can be but if he continues to shoot like this, no one will care.

Terribly tough “break” for Sophomore point guard
Poor Kenneth Welcome. Welcome is playing on a Villanova team in his first year as a starter and was actually starting to heat up and play with some consistency. Unfortunately, Welcome broke his leg on an attempted layup in a game against Nebraska-Omaha. While Villanova did record the win (73 – 48), they may have been the ones that ultimately lost as it is uncertain whether or not Welcome will be back before the season ends. Welcome was averaging 10.7 points and 4.0 assists in three games.

Ohio State Buckeyes need to pull it together FAST
For a team like the Buckeyes to be 1 – 2 before even sniffing conference play is a major red flag. As of this moment, the only individual that has consistently shown up has been sophomore point guard Jaydrick Nixon. While Nixon is averaging 15.7 points and 6.2 rebounds, the rest of the team has been wildly inconsistent. If Ohio State does not start to receive some production from their younger guys like Mitchell McDaniel and Darwin Cohan, they are going to be in some serious trouble.

Kwame Treadwell is asking for “Mercy” at Detroit Mercy
Of course there are some shady practices taking place in the world of college sports but the media probably catches only 5% percent of them to be honest. Every now and then, you get someone that doesn’t mind blowing the whistle and this appears to be one of those cases. According to an unnamed source, SF Kwame Treadwell has apparently been receiving several “gifts” from individuals attached to the Detroit Mercy program. According to the source, “Kwame is not just getting money but they are doing his work, giving him computers, Ipads, video games… all that man”.


In what seems to be a kneejerk reaction, Detroit Mercy has “temporarily suspended Kwame from all basketball activities” but claims that he is still “very much a part of the team”. While Kwame has not made an public statement, he did post this on his Twitter account before it was taken down shortly after. “Another case of a jealous ***** trying to take another man down. I see you though”.

Who’s this new guy people keep buzzing about?
The star of the night was found in Thibodaux, Louisiana at Nicholls State University of all places. Center Samuel Sanchez who was the Southland player of the year last year had a hell of a game logging 23 points and 17 rebounds against in state foe Louisiana Monroe. The Sanchez buzz is already starting after only one game and ya know what…. He deserves it.
