Marcus Crier is a nice guy but if you asked him if he's supposed to be where he is he wouldn't hesitate to tell you yes. From the moment he stepped on campus Crier, alongside his eventual good friend and roommate Zach Shene, made up one half of the most dangerous Guard/Forward combos in the country. As the two piled up wins together for the last three years, Crier proved to be one of the most consistent point guards in the country.
This past year there was much talk of whether or not Marcus Crier would return for his senior season. However, with a stacked UCLA team led by the veteran point guard UCLA was able to capture the first title in many years. After winning the title, the accomplished player felt that there was not much left to accomplish at UCLA. When asked about Crier, Zach Shene had this to say:
"Of course there are younger players at the position entering the draft. They may be better athletes, better shooters or whatever but when it comes down to it, I don't think there is anyone in the draft that plays the point guard position better than Crier".
While fellow point guard Rashard Wallace may have a higher ceiling, Crier in my opinion is the better player at the moment.
