Dnt knw if it will b a lottery pick but i felt ir was a good Fair trade if i gave up Shumpurt seeing that he is a rising young player.I looked at it like maybe they look to move Rondo in season and make some other moves

Well if it is the Celtics actual pick then it is the lottery pick but if it is the Clippers pick I think it is fair trade. That's all the lottery pick and an 18 yr old rookie for Shumpert is too much in my opinion.

Meet The Blaclshears

Pt 1
Genius is a word that can have many meanings. At times it can be used to describe somebody with utmost Intelligence. At the same time we all have that friend who's a real “genius” you know who I'm talking about.

Well this story revolves around the former. I don't have the time to give the “genius” types. Temple University home to a most prestigious law school is definitely a program that has time for a real genius. So much so that they accepted a young man by the name of Aaiden Blackshear whilst he was in the 9th grade. And that is no mean feat. The thing with Aaiden is that he isn't just a classroom geek. But also a basketball fanatic. But you already knew that or you wouldn't be reading this, nor would I be writing it.

Anybody who knows my time as an NBA scout knows I have a soft spot for two things in the basketball world. 90s basketball and wing players. So when I hear about a young man who can give me both of those things at the same time, I knew I had to get my *** out to Philly as soon as possible.

When I first arrived and started asking about the man I was met with mixed responses. Some said that he would change the pace of Philadelphia basketball for many years to come while others were convinced it was all overrated hype and there was no place for 90s basketball in the modern day league. I also heard whispering a of him being too good to be true and that his skeletons would catch up to him long before he could ever gain enough traction on a hardwood floor.

While I was unable to sit down with Aaiden long enough to really address any of these rumours he did tell me that “Nobody has seen anything yet.”


Pt 2


Recently I had just written a piece about a young Philly basketball player who I described as a genius. In that same article I also talked about the other side of the word genius.

Well once I got back from my trip to Philly I received a call from an old contact on the west coast about another young man named Avon Blackshear. Early reports told me two things. He was redifing the modern game but at the same time his coaches referred to him as a “genius”. Somebody who has always had an issue with authority and found himself labeled as a coach killer.

While Avon has garnered attention from a few schools such s USC, Fresno, Cal & Colorado based solely on his game which can quite simply be described an an athletic warrior. Which is much deserved as a 6’10” 239lb power forward. But it's the attitude that's really holding him back from having the freedom to pick a school.

For a kid from Compton, CA who has bounced around a lot in his early life due to many family issues I don't think he particularly cares about the potential prestige associated with the types of talent he possess. But as a basketball fan I feel the the game deserves to see this kid bring everything he has.

So I called up his agent and organized a time to make my way to California and sit down to discuss with Avon where he was at and all the things he could achieve in our beloved NBA.

See I considered saying Chris Valentine and Dre Redd but they are both in DC1 therefore I chose not to use them.

And who are the Blaclshears? I have only heard of the Blackshears!!!

I wish I could blame mine on school work but it's just my job lol I work nights so I'm awake til the sun comes up. It's messing with we real bad haha. But it seems to work rather well with the time zones for the U.S. Haha
