Does anyone know why certain players cannot be assigned certain plays? I really like some pick and roll plays, but only some players can run them (pg obviously, and guys like Paul George, while other players like Andrew wiggins cannot). I don't mean run them effectively, but the playbook will not let me assign them to Wiggins at all. He seems to only be able to run pick and roll option plays. Anyone know if I just need to improve some attribute, or are certain plays only allowed to be assigned to certain players?

It's because he's not a point guard. Change his position to PG and he'll have access to all pick-and-roll plays. Or you can leave him as a SF/SG and choose "Yes" for Play Initiator.

Ok I gotcha, roster edit before season. Anyone know why my playbook changes when I sim cast and jump into the game?

Vannwolf- Can coach profiles be edited as well in 2k15? (ex-take 3pt, mid,etc). If so, what are your recommendations?

Its cool buddy. For some reason they Removed the Shots Locations in the Coaching Profiles.

That's not true actually.

All you need to do is go into edit player, click on vitals tab (first tab), scroll all the way down and you'll see play types. Select one of his play types to be pick n roll. Then you'll be able to assign him pick n roll plays in playbook column.

No need to change position or play initiator settings for that.

Make sure the Player has PnR in Individual Plays then Go into the TEAM Playbook and Assign Plays a was mentioned before. If you need any certain PnR Plays let me know.

Position has Nothing to do with not being able to run PnR Plays. Making someone a PG does NOT give them Access to ALL PnR plays. There are PnR plays for SG and SF you just have to Edit the Playbooks. Please be sure you have done the Research before Posting in the thread. Not trying to be Rude, but I dont want the thread to have Mis-Information. Thanks.

Yes, it does. I checked while I was typing that response. Testing this is ludicrously simple, so just do that.

LOL. Ok so by making a Player a PG they get the SG and SF PnR Plays? Please stop posting Non-sense in the thread.

EDIT: It is obvious you have NOT looked into the Playbooks in the game, because IF you had you would know that NOT ALL PnR plays are for PGs.

If that's what you wanna believe, then fine. This is seriously not worth my time.

I changed Wiggins from a SF to a PG and this gave him access to all of Minnesota's pick-and-roll plays, unlike when he was set as a SF. Plays are not position-based. A play can show a 2-5 pick-and-roll, but if you call it for your point guard, it'll be a 1-5 pick-and-roll. Duh.

If you wanna get all pissy because you think I'm wrong, go ahead.
