This is a General Question, as I know VANN is tied up Slaving away on these Playbooks. I am looking for a Couple PnR Plays for SGs. Mainly for James Harden & Monta Ellis. Any suggestions are appreciated. I just havent been able to Test right now, due to Editing Roster. Thanks in advance.

Just an FYI all these playbooks need to be reordered and I will be doing that in phase 2. I want to make it more user friendly as well as put top plays in play type in order in case CPU AI choses them more often Inputted this way.

I wonder if ordering them effects which plays are used most.

I played the Rockets and never saw a Howard post up or Harden/Howard PNR.

That's funny because that's all they did against me but I use my sliders with cpu tendencies changed.

All 30 teams ROUGH DRAFTS are done! I will start posting them all tomorrow. It is on share though for those that don't want to wait.

Next up I will reorganize plays and add more plays as we have more games to go off of and as teams add stuff in. Some teams I had to AD lib a little bit as they didn't show a whole lot so I just Inputted plays either in a set or to a teams personnel and where their hot spots and get them the ball where they like to work from. The other thing I will focus on is getting ALL the team specific PNR plays and spots they like to work from. As of now some teams have 50% of what they actually do.

You will notice some familiarity in plays for all teams so when switching teams you will recognize some plays so your not walking in blind.

I will also be messing around with team styles and poe's and test each team to make sure they are playing like themselves. I have no idea the sweet spots for run plays this year. I have noticed I don't prefer teams below 80-85 though no matter what the team. But that could be personal preference.

@hottkid - I looked at rockets and there are a few things you can tweak. Number 1 there run plays were at 70 so you probably saw a lot of freelance with them. I will be locking down team styles, poe's, etc but I have not touched those yet so it's all out of box 2k rosters and player tendencies so if your seeing a team not playing right it's 2ks rosters and tendencies.

As far as my changes in CPU tendencies I have set at post feed at 60, 3pt 99, mid 55, close 45, inside 42, and attack basket at 45. I'm still tweaking as I havnt played much due to this project.

@vtrcb look at rockets, spurs, lakers, and mavs playbooks for some good PNR plays for sg.

Sounds good. I played another game against the Rockets and Harden and Dwight got really involved, which felt great.

I played a full game against Portland and in many ways I was very happy. I saw lots of their usual action and Lillard was aggressive. Moreso on mid range pull ups than 3. Batum came off some pin downs and Matthews made some spot ups with the odd post up. All very good.

Aldridge was ignored. He was a non-threat on pick and pops, and only had 2-3 post ups. Didnt attempt a jumper.

I know 2K have struggled to incorporate shooting bigs, and I wonder if this is an ongoing problem in 2K.

Ill plug in your tendencies and am more than happy to test any teams.

BTW you listed a cutter play for the Cavs twice I believe it's 12 give, and listed slice 34 fist under pick and roll options for the Blazers it's actually under pick & mid.

You can't put plays in twice unfortunately. So, the cavs already had that play in their playbook and because it's a really good one I kept it to make sure they ran it mor often. I wanted to take advantage of that being in there. The second, I can't change where plays go, the cup auto organizes them so that play must be where it's from?

Glad you like them so far remember it's still rough drafts and need a lot more love but I think good start and the rest is easy and hard parts out of the way....

Question of the year! I asked same questions as I do the czar, posted a thread in main page. No response. I'm curious to how the cup at picks their plays. I wonder if there is a way to test with 2 plays per play type and chart how many are run and when. Then go to 4, etc. try and get a pattern. I definitely need to reorder these though. The way you guys are plugging them in is in order like pnr, ps fade, then pnr option. I wonder if mixing them into best plays is better? Only bad thing is each page is jumbled with 3 different types of plays. User preference. Guess but before I organize these I'd really like to know how the cup ai picks these.

Blazers need some more love as do many other teams. Looking at their playbook I only got 3 pnpop plays. I need to change that. I've made that playbook my playbook as I play with that team so it's user preference.

I'll mess with cpu at Lamarcus and see if he can get some pnp touches. I haven't noticed cup. Not passing to pick n pop player but I haven't been looking for it either.

In some case less is more and 50 plays can add a ton of variety when sometimes a team will run same play with similar action with a few wrinkles in it that is a whole different way to go. I'd be curious to see like 2-3 plays (teams go to plays) for each team assigned and see how that plays out. Obviously a million different ways you can go with these play books. I think a lot has to do with tendencies, touches, etc though.
