Re: SimWorld’s NBA2K16 Fictional Draft Classes by CWSapp/Dreece/Blindside (Xbox One)
It's only a conflict of interest if you're going to cheat (it's your game, so if you want to do that, go ahead). And letting the CPU draft will yield much worse results, as BlindSideNZ mentioned.
As for me, I control the entire draft using the SimWorld mock draft/big board as a guide. I'll go team by team, and draft according to their positional needs, prospects that make the most sense, etc. If a team is stacked at PF, they might not draft a good PF prospect if there's a good player at another position. Or they could draft the PF and trade him for a veteran, etc. The more you immerse yourself in the game, the more fun it will be.

I control personnel for every team. It's not for everyone, but I hate seeing the CPU make idiotic decisions.Comment

Another thing I really liked from last years scouting reports were the draft summaries. It kept the draft in perspective, the strengths and how it compared to past drafts, etc. I mostly used the list and the draft summaries to scout tbh.Comment

@JumpOffMang..... It's all in DC3 scouting report. I was telling the guys in the thread a few weeks ago that the reports were less detailed because I didn't feel like people were really utilizing or caring about the extra stuff we were putting in the scouting reports. After some very nice words from a lot of people in the thread me and Blindside announced that we were be bringing back all of those things for the upcoming classes.
In regards to DC3, most of you know that we are inches away from releasing the League. We had to stop DC3 to give our resources to the League. As SOON as that is done our focus will be on the classes 100%. Also, the DC3 scouting report has been 80 percent done for about a week now but we have just been dedicating so much time to finishing the Legaue lately. I'll try to finish the scouting report this weekend so you guys can at least have something to look over in the mean time. Thanks again for all of the support guys. Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEARSimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

Honestly it's as much work as you let it be. For me personally there's too much work that goes in on our end to let the CPU come in and turn it upside down.
Luckily this year my league gives more options than ever in terms of how much you want to control.
Dreece actually suggested a system to me a little while back where you'd take 30mins to an hour going through the rosters of all teams at the beginning of each season to tidy up the stupid AI moves made. Things like adjusting player positions where it made sense or trading out positions that had gotten way too stacked.
I'm hoping this year I'll be able to keep a lot more of that in check throughout the season because I'd like to enjoy the gameplay more than the housekeeping.
I may even keep a spreadsheet or something on my laptop with the rosters etc as they evolve. that way it's a Quick reference sheet on draft night or when the CPU suggests trades during the year to keep things in check as they happen.Comment

Sorry if this is too off topic, but does anyone know the best 2016 draft class that matches up the best with these custom classes? I want to do 2016 for my first draft class and then use these classes. ThanksComment

Honestly I have zero clue and I can possibly say that for all of us at sim world. We tend to stick with our own classes. I personally don't use any real classes.
You'd have to do some research into what's out there and then likely make your own adjustments to it even then. We use our own scales to rate our rosters and classes.Comment

If you want a rookie (my example PG Dennis Smith in the 2017 class) to win MVP, Finals MVP and dominate the league, and yes thats right as a rookie, then go for it. I tested the best looking 2016 and 2017 classes IMO and those were my results.PSN / Xbox GT - BLUEnYELLOW28Comment

Yea that's a pretty good
example of "skewed results"... I did it 2 years ago on 2k14 on 360 and didn't notice anything too crazy, but I honestly don't want to sour the experience of the Sim project DC.
