How about this make a test class with all the top guys freshman. Make that same rule change and let us know what happens.

      Thanks alot.
Sorry it took me so long to do this but I jus been really busy lately. But I finally tested it out and after the rule was changes I loaded a draft class with all the top players 18 or 19 and as soon as the season started it changes all of their ages to 20 but the players were still there so pretty much I guess if this rule comes up we could just reject it

Boooo that's wack. It would be dope if you could load 2 or 3 classes at a time and anyone at that restricted age just gets bumped in to the following draft to allow them to age that extra year. Thanks for the testing LB

Yup it does sucks but yea you can always just veto the rule if u don't like the change its kinda cool though that they do a vote to change rules tho like one year they voted to get rid of foul outs but it didn't have enough votes lol. I've already jus simmed all the way to 2029 lebron and kd both finished their careers with over 40,000 points passing Jabbar, Curry,Irving,Clay Thompson, Harden, and some other smashed Ray Ray's career 3pt total and a bunch of other top players retirement went to the HOF and had their jersey retired smell played got it retired for two teams like lebron lol

We are working around the clock on these projects so just know that we are getting closer and closer to the classes, the League and the roster being done. In the meantime, let's give you guys some more information about these prospects.

                DC1 February Newsfeed

                Feburary 1st
University of Rutgers nabs two of the top 10 high school seniors

It has now been confirmed that the #7 ranked senior high school prospect Vic Rozier (6’10 205 PF) and #10 senior high school prospect Ja’Won White (6’11 261 C) will both be attending Rutgers University next year. Rutgers, who are having what some would consider to be a disappointing season so far, are of course very excited to bring these two skilled big men on campus. Of course, both may be one and done guys but one year is better than no years. Right?

Sean Barkley has announced that he will be declaring for the draft

With the year nearing an end, many players will be announcing whether or not they will be declaring for the draft around this time. One of the foreign big men that we discussed previously has officially announced that he will be entering the draft. That young man is the center from Spain, Sean Barkley. The 7’0 240 lbs big man has caught the eye of many scouts for his ability to hit the mid range jumper and defend in the post. Expect him to be a lottery pick.

This California team is more talented than we thought and has officially cracked the top 5

At 23 – 2, I think most people can say that they are surprised by the season that Cal is having. The team is led by guard Maddox Valpone who told us at the beginning of the season that he felt that this team could be special with they were ranked 14th in the nation during the preseason. Another big reason for this team’s success is sophomore center Dane Cooper who has been one of the most consistent big men in the nation. Solid contributions from freshman SF Michael Marshall and junior PG John McLemore have been big as well. At this rate, Cal may be on their way to a number one seed for the tournament.

                Feburary 14th
Villanova is quietly dominating the country once again

After dropping a game to West Virginia in January, the Wildcats have been perfect and no one seems to be even close to them right now. Interestingly enough, because everyone expected this from them, they don’t seem to be getting the credit they deserve. Sophomore SG Derwin Amani Blackshear is playing like (and probably is) the best player in the country averaging over 25 points a game but his teammates have been playing lights out as well. Guards Chris Rome and Terry Hayes and big men Quan Martin, Darquez Webb and JaMarcus Height make this team the easy favorite come March.

                Feburary 19th
                Top Five sophomore prospects

Time for the fourth entry in our “top prospects” series throughout the year. Now that we have seen the young guys play ball let’s look at the sophomores and freshmen. Sophomores are up first.

                5)
Name: Tyson Graves (#23 Rated Pro Prospect)
                Position: C
                Height/Weight: 7’0” 265 lbs.
                School: Georgetown
Projected Draft Range: Mid to Late First Round
Likelihood that he will declare this year: 75%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Because Graves has went from just being a “big dude” to someone that can wear you down and be productive in the process. Graves has become a good defender and someone that has demanded double teams in the low post. I think he will be a great late first round pick if he decides to declare.

                4)
Name: Cypress Von Impe (#17 Rated Pro Prospect)
                Position: C
                Height/Weight: 6’11” 247 lbs.
                School: Wake Forest
                Projected Draft Range: Lottery
Likelihood that he will declare this year: 55%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Who doesn’t love a big man that’s an athlete and that’s what we have with Von Impe. Von Impe can get up and down the court but most importantly, he has shown the ability to learn and improve his game which he has done in his two years at Wake Forest. He MAY come back and be a top player in the nation next year or he may lean towards getting that money. Right now, we aren’t completely sure but we will definitely see.

                3)
Name: Jaiveer Nagra (#10 Rated Pro Prospect)
                Position: SG
                Height/Weight: 6’7” 195 lbs.
                School: Wake Forest
Pojected Draft Range: Top Five to Lottery
Likelihood that he will declare this year: 80%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Wake Forest ain’t playing around this year with these prospects. Nagra is the second best shooter on this list but even at second he is a nightmare to try to stop. What makes Nagra so dangerous is that he can hit it off the dribble or with a man in his face. Anytime he has the rock he is a danger to score. He also shows some hustle on the defensive side and has had a few chase down blocks show up on the Sportscenter highlights.

                2)
Name: Cade Breen (#9 Rated Pro Prospect)
                Position: SG
                Height/Weight: 6’2” 195 lbs.
                School: UCLA
Projected Draft Range: Top Five to Lottery
Likelihood that he will declare this year: 90%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: This guy has been a lot of things. Rude, Obnoxious, Racist, Self Centered and for all we know, they may be true. You know what else he has been called though? Explosive, Dynamic, Unstoppable off the dribble and those things all appear to be true. If you get caught up in the politics of basketball than you might want to leave this guy alone but if you don’t mind an undersized guard that can get just about anywhere on the court, here you go.

                1)
Name: Derwin Amani Blackshear (#1 Rated Pro Prospect)
                Position: SG
                Height/Weight: 6’8” 199 lbs.
                School: Villanova
Projected Draft Range: Top Pick – Top 3
Likelihood that he will declare this year: 10%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Because he is the best damn shooter that we have seen in a LONG time and he has the potential to be even better. Blackshear has a quick release, ridiculous confidence, the bloodline and the potential to be one of if not the best player in the league five years down the road. I think along with Ekpe Ococha, he is one of the two ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY CAN’T MISS PROSPECTS in the draft. Too bad he properly won’t be there for you in this upcoming draft. Sorrrry 

                Feburary 24th
                Top Five Freshman Prospects

We know these young guys tend to be at the top of the board but they usually pose the biggest risk as a pro prospect because they don’t have a big body of work for us to look at. With that being said, let’s look at those top freshman.

                5)
Name: Deyonta Simpson (#11Rated Pro Prospect)
                Position: PF
                Height/Weight: 6’9” 260 lbs.
                School: Connecticut
Projected Draft Range: Top Five to Lottery
Likelihood that he will declare this year: 85%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Many people are still shocked that I have Deyonta Simpson ranked above Cash Indigo but I feel that Simpson is the more versatile player here. He is surprisingly nimble for a big man and he can play both sides of the ball well. I think that he will only get better from here and can definitely be a high profile starter somewhere.

                4)
Name: Chris Mitchell (#8 Rated Pro Prospect)
                Position: SF
                Height/Weight: 6’9” 220 lbs.
                School: Texas Southern
Projected Draft Range: Top Five to Lottery
Likelihood that he will declare this year: 65%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Because we have another guy that is an athlete and has only been getting better with each game. I know that a lot of you are shocked to see a player from Texas Southern so high on the big board but don’t forget that this young man was heavily recruited by the University of Texas, Duke, Kentucky and Florida. He is just a big fish that decided to swim in a small pond for whatever reason but this kid seems like he is the real deal.

                3)
Name: Nakevion Johnson (#7 Rated Pro Prospect)
                Position: PG
                Height/Weight: 6’3” 179 lbs.
                School: Arizona State
Pojected Draft Range: Top Five to Lottery
Likelihood that he will declare this year: 50%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Because this kid is a serious defender. Johnson came to Arizona State with some pretty high expectations but he has been balling out of control and has the chance to lead the league in steals at the end of the year. Of course he is still improving offensively but if you need a guy that can bring you instant offense, Johnson is your guy. We will have to see if he decides to declare though.

                2)
Name: Antonio Griffey (#4 Rated Pro Prospect)
                Position: SG
                Height/Weight: 6’8” 200 lbs.
                School: Kentucky
Projected Draft Range: Top Three to Top Five
Likelihood that he will declare this year: 99%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: We know one of the Griffey brothers would blow up and it ended up being Antonio. Both came to Kentucky as players that we predicted to be top prospects but Griffey has just produced at a higher and more consistent level. He’s got the size, he’s a great athlete, he can score in a variety of different ways and he can play defense. Can’t ask for a whole lot more than that right? He and his brother will be there waiting to get drafted on draft night.

                1)
Name: Brennan O’Keiffer (#3 Rated Pro Prospect)
                Position: C
                Height/Weight: 7’2” 232 lbs.
                School: Providence
Projected Draft Range: Top Three to Top Five
Likelihood that he will declare this year: 65%
Why You Should Keep An Eye on Him: Because even though he is only 232 pounds at 7’2”, he is one of the more skilled big men that we have seen in a while. Can O’Keiffer score? Yes, with grace. Can he rebound? Yup, currently leading the nation in rebounding. Can he defend? Yup, he’s averaging 2 blocks a game. If O’Keiffer can get a little stronger you might have an absolute beast on your hands.

I just had it locked in that Blackshear was going to win POTY but gotta say Erwin was the better all around player but, that's a Senior for ya. There are so many players I like in this draft class man....still don't know who's all coming out yet besides a few too. Good work guys!!

They don't. That's why I said "scale" them in properly. Since we build both rosters and the classes off the same format we know how many touches /shot attempts to give to rookies.

I hate seeing classes especially those "real" classes that give incoming rooks too much usage. That alone will take possessions from existing players/vets and will have a negative impact on sim stats for the seasons going forward.

My best advice is to AT LEAST come up with some comfortable numbers for touches and shots in your default roster. Then move on to class creation .

Lastly I know people don't like to do it but...after every off-season your gonna have to do some slight maintenance to touches and shots for the ENTIRE league. Reasons being rookie A might be a 73 overall. He will play one role for the Sixers , but for the Thunder he would be in a different situation .

                          Hope that helps

So as a rookie move up in a rotation he will obviously be getting the ball more but will this translate to sim stats?

Last time i checked there's only one rookie in the nba right now averaging double digit points. Obviously as these rookie go through their career you'll see guys like Buddy Hield putting up a lot more points every game. So in order for this to happen in game, i have to tweak the shot tendencies every year?

Yup you are honestly If you want to make it as realistic as possible . Speaking on Buddy, depending on what you "expect" him to be. I say it all the time. I can make a rookie average 20PPG for his whole career by putting touches/shots in a certain range. He might shoot 30% but he will average 20. Now when he progress and his attributes fill out he may gain a few PPG on his average but his percentages should be better.

Ex Cavs ( not real touch #'s just an example)

                              Lebron 90
                              Kyrie 88
                              Love 80
                              Smith 60
                              Tristan 40

Now Cleveland will be picking at the end of the 1st where most of OUR high volume usage guys will be gone .

They pick a SG who is a 67 overall shooter who more than likely will be a role player type that won't grow much beyond his initial overall rating . I may give him a touches rating of 35-40.

Now with that data I can see that this player will still get his stats in a realistic fashion if his shots are scaled correctly. Not too many late round picks should/will come on the Cavs and demand touches in the offense. If both SG in front of the rookie gets hurt he will start and play enough mins to boost his PPG to a respectable level . Not by dominating touches or launching shots though . He will play within the offense and take the shots that are created for him by Lebron and Kyrie.

Hope that helps. If not we'll talk more about this type of stuff in our upcoming podcast.
