I would love to find out more about the 1st year so that I can some what catch up. I'm so new that the only thing I know about the players is that Stafford is a beast for a defender, Ray Ray has a dope name, and there are 3 Blackshiers (I guess one is like Lebron, just won rookie of the year, and I have no idea who the third plays for)... Man I need to catch up
Sapp can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the idea is that the league has its own full history just like the real NBA, so it doesn't start at 2006, it just looks like they went back 10 years to give some more back story for their universe.

Side note: for whatever reason, I had it in my head that Ray Ray and Donovan were still hunting for their first ring.

First of all, I have to say that I am seriously nerding the hell out cause Dreece can tell you that I love to talk about the League so having this activity in the thread is giving me joy.

Secondly, mqt nailed it. We just went back to 2006 to have more history for this universe but this League has only physically been around for the last three years. So if you are looking for DETAILED info it goes back three years but what I posted yesterday is just a history.

Lastly, I don't blame you for making that assumption about Ray Ray and Donovan and I blame myself for that. Me, Dreece and Blindside put together this league history last year but didn't really share it with everyone like we should have. I think it might be cool to have a little write up about the Clippers starting with winning the championship with two growing stars and an aging superstar, to losing Devon Blackshear, to falling apart. What do you guys think?

Team preview being posted next guys.

        Last Year’s Record:

        28 – 54

        Postseason Results:

        Missed Playoffs

        Awards/Accolades:

SG Tyrell Carrington led league in scoring (30.9 ppg)

*PF Akeem Gates finished 10th in rebounding (11.4 rpg)

*Represents player is no longer with team

        Who’s Out:

        PG Wilbur Adams

        PF Akeem Gates

        Who’s In:

PF Laqua Palmer (Round 1: Pick 6)

        PF Luis Ramos (Free Agency)

        SF DeMarcus Houston (Free Agency)

        Who are the Atlanta Hawks?

“A struggling team with a great player that can’t find an identity”

The Atlanta Hawks do not look like the team that we thought we would see going into the 2016 season. The Hawks had the excitement of the fans with a combination of Tyrell Carrington and Josiah Ingram a couple of years ago. Ingram left and two young studs emerged as potential stars in the making in PF Akeem Gates and PG Wilbur Adams. Last year brought Carrington and the city of Atlanta another scoring title but not much else. On top of that both Adams and Gates got out of town as soon as they could. Fans are now starting to wonder if Tyrell Carrington is a player that the team can really build around or if he is a black hole that just makes the team worse. There is no denying that Carrington is a talent but is he a champion? I can promise you he won’t be one this year and neither will anyone else on this roster (unless they get traded).

The Key to Success in the Future....

Is figuring out if they REALLY want to commit to Tyrell Carrington. At the moment, the team lost more than they gained so there is no reason to believe that things are going to go very well in Atlanta. Laqua Palmer is a decent addition and may even start but I can’t see him being a real difference maker. I would say that the Hawks need to shop Carrington around and see if they can find a team that really believes that he is a TOP tier player in the league and get them to bet it all on Carrington. They also need to acquire some more young talent to help Laqua Palmer IF he is indeed the future of that team. Whatever route they take, there is a lot of work to be done.

        Feature Presentation

There is no question that Tyrell Carrington is the man that the people are coming to see. Although he may struggle with consistency on the defensive end, there is no question that Carrington is one of the most exciting and talented offensive players in the league. After leading the league in scoring, there is no reason to believe that he won’t finish this year either 1st or 2nd in scoring. Also, while this player may not get a lot of attention, Ian McNeal is one of the most important pieces of this team. McNeal has had a bit of a resurgence as a Hawk and is one of the best defensive big men in the league. They are going to need another big year from the veteran just to even have a chance.

But Also Keep an Eye On.....

Casey Wall. Wall is honestly the only reason that the Hawks didn’t feel terrible about letting Wilbur Adams go in free agency (not like they had much of a choice). Even while battling for a starting job with a youngster that many considered to be the future of the team at the position and sharing the court with one of the most “ball dominant” players in the league, Wall still managed to record over 7 assists per game. Now that he is the clear starter, I think he has a good chance to finish in the top 10 or possibly top 5 in assists at the end of the season. Also look out for rookie PF Laqua Palmer. The #6 pick in the draft is going to be expected to help this team get better FAST and if Carrington is shipped out, he may become THE guy. Let’s hope that Laqua is ready for Atlanta. We know the city is ready for him.

Yes, the Hawks, the team I´ll choose (again) this year.
Last year I traded Tyrell to the Bucks and ended up with pick #2 and drafted ... well, Laqua Palmer. Funny that he endep up there.

I'm glad you're enjoying the discussion so far, a (very) small way to pay you back for everything you guys give us with these rosters.

This project is honestly one of my favorite things, because not only is the concept exactly the kind of thing that draws me in, but the execution and level of care you guys put in is ridiculous. I've always loved making up my own stories and universe for my own fictional players, but never really had the time to make them work well together cohesively because going under the hood with tendencies was just too much to tackle. Having that vision I have when I game be not only realized, but meticulously handled to account for everything from the balance of stars to how the end of bench players play is a truly amazing experience and I thank you guys to no end for providing it.

Ive been back and forth on Tyrell Carrington as a center piece. While he obviously lights it up, I feel like his best fit might be as a second piece with a more complete player. I would think a deal similar to the AI to Denver deal would be the best way to turn his career around, or maybe it would just end up the same way the real life deal did and he shows he's an inefficient chucker that can't be a part of a bigger picture. If not for Domino having already made his way to LA, that's the kind of team I'd like to see him move to.

My fever dream proposal: Tyrell Carrington and Casey Wall to the Utah Jazz for a package involving Rashard Wallace, Thomas Roth and Eduardo Gibson, plus a draft pick and whatever cap filler is needed.

The only thing with that proposal is I'm pretty sure Utah have no interest in giving up Wallace who is bigger , younger and just as athletic and still on a rookie contract. For a max level contract guy who's proven not to be a winner. But whatever scenario works for the user let it rip!

Sick! I'm definitely invested in learning as much as I can about this league before I start playing it. This is the only reason why im committing to 2K this year, especially with the new expansion feature.

Last year was the first year I used SimWorld and it was the most fun I've had playing 2k with a MyLeague with the Rameek Toole-led Brooklyn Nets. Did Detroit Johnson retire yet?!

That's fair. I was just looking for a fit, and the Jazz seemed like a team with both the assets to make a move and the incentive to add the best scorer in the league.

Funny you should mention the Brooklyn Nets.

                        BROOKLYN NETS TEAM PREVIEW

                        Last Year’s Record:
                        59 – 23

                        Postseason Results:
Eliminated in Eastern Conference Finals by Washington Wizards

                        Awards/Accolades:
PF TaShawn Sullivan 1st Team All Rookie

                        Who’s Out:
                        PG Detroit Johnson

                        Who’s In:
                        PF Andrew White
SG Joseph Taylor (Round 1: Pick 28)
PG Pernell Wells (Round 2: Pick 28)

                        Who are the Brooklyn Nets?
“A team that wants to prove last season was no fluke”

A look at the quote above will show you exactly what a lot of people thought about the Nets last year. Everyone knew that they would be GOOD but nobody thought that they would finish above a Whakil Blackshear or Chris Bishop led team. Well, that is exactly what they did last season to the tune of 59 wins. In a league full of talented 2 guards, Rameek Toole is making it hard to not mention his name in the top 5 or maybe even the top 3. Glenn Braxton finally hit the big 30 but he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down and SF Deitrich Castillo is a great third option. PF Tashawn Sullivan has also shown that he is the PF of the future in Brooklyn. Unfortunately, the loss of veteran PG Detroit Johnson to the Clippers will hurt but PG Petros Laskaris looks to be at the very least, a solid short term answer.

But Can They Do It Again?
A lot of things worked in Brooklyn’s favour last year and even though they lost in the Eastern Conference Finals, the city ultimately looked at last season as a success. With Toole in the last year of his rookie contract, the team needs to show him that they are serious contenders or they may be at risk of losing their best player. After speaking with Glenn Braxton in the offseason, he told me that Toole wasn’t going anywhere and that he feels that the team can duplicate their impressive results from last season. After seeing the improvement that the Cavs have made, I have them as the fourth best team in the East behind the Wizards, 76ers and the Cavaliers but they proved me wrong before. Let’s see if they can make it two in a row.

                        Feature Presentation
Rameek Toole is the guy that everyone has their eye on. Right now, the 23 year old stud is right on the cusp of being a superstar in this league. He is great on both sides of the ball and he can light it up. Some feel like he should have AT LEAST been a 3rd Team All NBA selection so he probably is ready to show people why he deserved to be there. Glenn Braxton isn’t the star that he used to be but he can put up 20 to 25 on any given night and he will always pull down some boards. As stated before, Castillo is one of the best third options available.

But Also Keep an Eye On.....
There are two guys that I really want to see this year. First, PG Petros Laskaris is definitely happy to have Detroit Johnson out of the locker room. Detroit Johnson made it clear that he didn’t want to come back if they brought Laskaris back so it is no surprise that Johnson bolted after the season. This will be the first time that the second round pick from Greece will have a starting spot in the NBA so viewers (especially in Brooklyn) want to see if it was worth letting go of the veteran point guard. Second, Tashawn Sullivan was as good as advertised but we all know the sophomore slump is no joke. I think we all want to see if last season was a sign of things to come or if Sullivan will fall off.

I remember that conflict between the two. In my MyLeague, I kept Detroit and he ended up being one of my favorite players on the team. Rameek Toole would be my go to guy whenever I was down, and Sullivan was a rebounding machine. Can't wait for this to be released again...

                                Teams available

                                76ers
                                Bucks
                                Magic
                                Grizzlies

Teams will be added daily but we have free agents and a MyLeague tune for sim stats. Along with constructing our draft classes so to be honest I don't know. But it won't be released to I'm 100% comfortable releasing as a SimWorld product.

More information coming from Sapp later.

Feedback is welcomed on the demo. It is still minor changes to be made and of course a patch to look out for but I haven't had time to user test or play the game yet [emoji6] enjoy.
