Jason White has already stunned NBA scouts with his amazing season opener. The big man out of Los Angeles, California dropped 16 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 blocks in his first game. We've all seen how good of a scorer and rebounder he is, but his playmaking is probably the thing that sticks out the most. Any freshman big man who can come into the season dropping 6 assists is a player that's bound to do amazing things in his career.

The UCLA freshmen duo of Jarred Witt and Jack Napier at the forward positions has also gotten off to a great start this season. Witt had 17 points and 5 assists while Napier had 14 points and 9 rebounds in UCLA's win in their first game against Ohio State. Both of these players have their strengths and weaknesses, but we think that they're ready to take UCLA to a new level that they never really achieved last year.

Well, Boston College's Sophomore SG Johnny Benson is back at it again with his outstanding play. He stated last march that he would be staying at Boston College until he was able to bring them a championship, and thing's may get a lot easier for him as he will be playing alongside high school teammate and childhood friend, Ryan Jones. Jones is a talented Point Guard who was ranked #26 on ESPN's list of the top 100 High Schoolers last year. He has great playmaking ability and defense, and we'll keep an eye on what this duo will be able to accomplish this year.

Your draft class looks pretty good. I like how not all the potentials are realistic. Too many other draft classes potentials are all in the 80's and 90's for most of the draft. I think I'll be able to use your draft classes along with the SimWorld classes. Thanks for your hard work!

                    November 15th

Russell Westbrook's worst nightmare may already be at North Carolina
North Carolina's budding freshman star, Lamar Phillips, has started out the season showing his lightning fast speed and explosiveness at the basket. Phillips is showing very promising play on both offense and defense, and his rebounding is something that sticks out as a point guard. He's strong, he's fast, he's got hops. Who's gonna be able to stop him?

                    The next Spud Webb?
Many people were shocked after watching canadian PG Drew Strawberry's Hoop Mixtape. His shooting ability is so pure and fluid, and he throws down some amazing dunks... oh yea... and we forgot to mention the fact that he's only 5'6". Drew has shown that he has what it takes to be a great player in the NBA, but his size is still a big worry among NBA scouts. He's currently ranked 2nd on the list of the Top 25 International prospects.

Is K.J. Everett having the breakout season we've all been waiting for?
Kyle James Everett (or K.J. for short) was originally the 5th ranked High School player coming into the league 4 years back, but he never really lived up to the expectations set for him at Miami. Until now. He's averaging 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in Miami's first 5 games. He's never scored more than 15 points in a game until this season which is pretty sad for a top 5 ranked player, but we think that he's only going to improve as this season progresses.

Freshman Spotlight: PG Marcus Grant, Duke

Marcus continues to light up defenses with his crazy shooting and ability to create his own shot. He's not a great on-ball defender, but he's good at stripping the ball from defenders and he is currently 2nd in the nation in blocks among point guards. He's a good athlete and he slashes through defense with his speed and 37 inch vertical to finish at the basket

                        High School Phenom: Steven Moiso
Already being deemed the next Magic Johnson, 6'9" Steven Moiso is a Point Guard currently in his senior year at Oak Ridge High School in Orlando, Florida. Much like some other guards in the NBA today like Shaun livingston and Demar Derozan, Moiso doesn't shoot threes. His game is knocking down that deadly midrange jumpshot of his and setting up for his teammates. He's strong, he blocks shots, he gets steals. We aren't quite sure how teams will react when matching up against him next year, because so far he hasn't given anyone a reason why he can't play any position on the floor. His strength, rebounding and shot blocking allows him to bang down low with big men and post up with ease on point guards. Whatever team he commits to is definetly going to be a powerhouse next year.

Can Lamar Phillips Still Dominate the NBA without a jumpshot?
Lamar has done a lot for North Carolina so far this year, and we all know the kid has game. But as far as we know, he can't shoot three pointers to save his life. He's attempted only 6 threes this season and hasn't converted on any of them, and in a league where the three point shot is such an important aspect of every player's game, we aren't sure how he'll do. Now you may be thinking, weren't we just talking about guys like Livingston and Derozan who aren't good three point shooters but are still great players overall? Yes, but unlike these players, Lamar can't dominate from the midrange either. As a matter of fact, He's only attempted 16 shots from the midrange area and has converted on 5 of them. To make things worse, he's only shooting a putrid 49% at the free throw line.

Is Lamar Phillips an outstanding rebounder and/or shot blocker? If so, is it bcuz of height? If the answer is no to the first question or yes to the second question, then he's gonna be a bust if drafted early.

Well he's a point guard. So obviously he's not gonna be outstanding in either of those categories, but he's definetly above average for a point guard in both of them.

Thought he was a center bcuz he couldn't shoot. In that case, he'll be at best a role player in the NBA. Unless he can't pass. Then he'll be a bench warmer.
