Now that we have gotten that out of the way, we are moving on to Year 2/DC2. For those of you that aren't familiar how we do things, everything is connected all of the players that were mentioned anywhere in DC1 newsfeed that did not declare for the draft will continue to show up until they declare for the draft. MY CURRENT TOP COLLEGE PROSPECTS
Man I love the beginning of the year but I also hate it because these lists are bound to be wrong because there isn’t a whole lot of on court film to go on. One thing that I do feel confident about is that Jeremiah Lawson is going to be the number one pick next year. Although he hasn’t admitted it an unnamed source told me “If Lawson stays, I’ll give you every cent in my bank account. I’m that sure that he is headed to the League”. In only 5 games, the young man is already averaging 25 points a game. An 18 year old that can literally hit it from anywhere on the court… yeah, I’ll take that. My two big men are number 2 and 3 but that can change. Ellis’ versatility has been so impressive. He had 22 pts, 11 rebs, 4asts, 3 blks and 2 stls the other night and I feel like he is only going to get better. LeAndre Fitzgerald may not be as high on other big boards but I think his improvement on the offensive end is beautiful with an already dominant defensive skill set. If he can continue to improve he might turn himself into a can’t miss prospect. Xavier Fields and Zy Wallace have both been dealing with injuries but I still believe that they are top five guys. I got three of the four five star Kentucky freshmen in my top 15. To be honest, Morgan, Carpenter and McAlister have all looked good but not great but we have to remember that they are 18 year old kids and all three have potential that is hard to deny. Romantay Bell is still looking dominant out at USC. Keep an eye out for all three of the PGs at the bottom of the list (Clark, Kacour, Avaloy).

INTERNATIONAL REPORT
These two 18 year old kids at the top of the list are something special in my opinion. For what it is worth, I can tell you that both of them are top five type talents. Dominique du Gast is a player that hit the scene as a 17 year old and really became the talk of International B-ball circles. He is not only extremely smart academically but he plays the same way. He isn’t the most athletic but his ability to find the open man and make the smart play is unmatched. He is also an extremely capable passer that can thread small spaces. If he leaves this year he could be a top five guy but he has already stated that it is “unlikely” that he comes over this soon. More than likely next year is when we can expect him. Sava Cavoski is a different story. He seems to be familiar with American culture and appears eager to come over and become a star. For what it is worth, he definitely has the skill to do so. He is a classic back to the basket big man that is surprisingly strong and physical for such a young man but also plays with a finesse that many big men just don’t have. Between the two du Gast is more NBA ready but Cavoski has the tools to be a ALL NBA 1<sup>st</sup> Team type guy. Also keep an eye out for Greek point forward Nikos Karvelas who at 6’10” 209 isn’t as athletic as you may think but can damn sure put on a show.

HIGH SCHOOL REPORT
The big men are the talk of the town for this year’s recruiting class. At the top of the list I have Armanti Elliot who ended his junior campaign with some Sportscenter top 10 type games. He is 6’11” but is versatile and able to maneuver around the rim like a guard. He also really improved his jumper last year so he is an absolute nightmare for defenders and I suspect nothing will change this year. P.J. Curtis isn’t a highlight monster so many people may not know much about him but even though his game isn’t “sexy” doesn’t mean he isn’t valuable. He is a superb low post defender and rebounder that any college would love to have (and I suspect NBA teams as well). Anthony Privott is a guy that can play both forward positions extremely well with the ability to play with his back to the basket but also handle the rock and get to the bucket from outside the paint. He has already committed to Connecticut. Although Ramirez is ranked number four as an overall prospect, I think he is the most exciting to watch. He is 7’2” but he really thinks he is a guard. He is lightning fast but what makes him even more exciting is his ability to pass the rock. He has had many spectacular no look passes throughout his high school career and I’m sure there is more to come. Keep an eye out on Duke, North Carolina and Kentucky who have an opportunity to nab multiple top 10 recruits going into next year.

MISCELLANEOUS
- Georgia Tech freshman SF Emmanuel Jackson says that he “guarantees” that teammate and number one prospect G Jeremiah Lawson will lead the nation in scoring at the end of the year. Lawson, who has known to be “silently cocky”, refuses to comment on his teammates guarantee but says that he is happy that the team has faith in him.

- San Diego State junior forward and top ten prospect Zy Wallace has continued to struggle to return from his back injury playing only 18 to 19 minutes a game. In that limited time however, he has been productive although he stated that he will need at least a few more weeks before he is back at 100 percent.

- Purdue senior PG Cameron Avaloy has looked visibly frustrated with the new team that they are putting on the court this year. With C Jamal Garris being the only other senior on the team getting any meaningful playing time, Avaloy’s stats have looked good but the team has struggled. Although they are 5 and 0, they beat terrible Quinnipiac by only one point and Presbyterian by only 2. Avaloy is confident when asked about the team but people close to him say that he is a bit regretful that he didn’t declare last year with Cheyenne Berry and Quinn Jenkins.

- Kentucky sophomore guard Anthony Dumias says that the four freshman that make up the rest of the starting lineup are “something special” and feels that can really make some noise this year. Dumias went on to say “there is no way that those guys are coming back next year so it’s now or never”.

- Kansas State sophomore guard and top ten prospect Xavier Fields went down with an ankle injury and will miss “at least a month”. Fields refused to talk about the injury and those close to him say that he is taking the injury “very hard”.

- Virginia freshman F O.J. Paxon is screwing up on campus already. Although he is putting up great numbers on the court 21.2ppg, 10.9rpg in his first month, he will reportedly be suspended for a game for having a second outburst in class. According to an unnamed student, Paxon received a failing grade on a test and proceeded to get up, rip the test up and say “f*** school… I’ma be in the league next year anyway”. The Virginia AD has stated that this type of behavior will not be tolerated and that players will be punished for failing to take school seriously.

- Milwaukee junior F Austin Freeman has continued to turn heads for the past two years and has started the season with three 30 plus point games this month. Scouts are talking and Freeman is beginning to look like a legit NBA first round prospect.

- USC Senior center Romantay Bell is reportedly not happy with a member of the USC coaching who stated “Bell could be a number one pick type guy if he worked a little harder. He has still been great for us but he could have been even better than that”.

Another thing I notice is big men grabbing offensive rebounds and being a little to passive and passing out. is this the Dish to Open Man or Finish tendencies?

corrected now... but the floor is still 5 for PG (but of course deviation is always a possibility for anomalies or gameplay adjustments if other tendencies are overcompensating).

Seems like this year's Turney is going to be a shocker if Purdue Kan pull it together and find some real offense and play together and learn one others game and then talent in there youth under Aveloy..But he has to get off his high horse and thinking it's all about him. He had all the action to be that pick but he stayed saying he was having fun. So the next year for him is to find some leadership and take advantage of the young talent he has around him...

Just finished reading everything and getting caught up heading into my first off-season with Dallas. I need help everywhere. We finished with the worst record in the league so hopefully the lottery is kind to me.

Was pretty sold on Rufus Hamilton being the pick until I read that note about him being disinterested, then that loss to Eastern Washington. Gonna have to investigate further...

MISCELLANEOUS
- Georgia Tech freshman SF Emmanuel Jackson says that he “guarantees” that teammate and number one prospect G Jeremiah Lawson will lead the nation in scoring at the end of the year. Lawson, who has known to be “silently cocky”, refuses to comment on his teammates guarantee but says that he is happy that the team has faith in him.

- San Diego State junior forward and top ten prospect Zy Wallace has continued to struggle to return from his back injury playing only 18 to 19 minutes a game. In that limited time however, he has been productive although he stated that he will need at least a few more weeks before he is back at 100 percent.

- Purdue senior PG Cameron Avaloy has looked visibly frustrated with the new team that they are putting on the court this year. With C Jamal Garris being the only other senior on the team getting any meaningful playing time, Avaloy’s stats have looked good but the team has struggled. Although they are 5 and 0, they beat terrible Quinnipiac by only one point and Presbyterian by only 2. Avaloy is confident when asked about the team but people close to him say that he is a bit regretful that he didn’t declare last year with Cheyenne Berry and Quinn Jenkins.

- Kentucky sophomore guard Anthony Dumias says that the four freshman that make up the rest of the starting lineup are “something special” and feels that can really make some noise this year. Dumias went on to say “there is no way that those guys are coming back next year so it’s now or never”.

- Kansas State sophomore guard and top ten prospect Xavier Fields went down with an ankle injury and will miss “at least a month”. Fields refused to talk about the injury and those close to him say that he is taking the injury “very hard”.

- Virginia freshman F O.J. Paxon is screwing up on campus already. Although he is putting up great numbers on the court 21.2ppg, 10.9rpg in his first month, he will reportedly be suspended for a game for having a second outburst in class. According to an unnamed student, Paxon received a failing grade on a test and proceeded to get up, rip the test up and say “f*** school… I’ma be in the league next year anyway”. The Virginia AD has stated that this type of behavior will not be tolerated and that players will be punished for failing to take school seriously.

- Milwaukee junior F Austin Freeman has continued to turn heads for the past two years and has started the season with three 30 plus point games this month. Scouts are talking and Freeman is beginning to look like a legit NBA first round prospect.

- USC Senior center Romantay Bell is reportedly not happy with a member of the USC coaching who stated “Bell could be a number one pick type guy if he worked a little harder. He has still been great for us but he could have been even better than that”.

MONTH OF DECEMBER

MY CURRENT TOP COLLEGE PROSPECTS
Jeremiah Lawson is still the guy and everyone knows that. Understood? Ok, moving on. The story of THIS month are those Kentucky freshmen. I mentioned last month that the young men looked good but not great. I guess they just needed a few games to get some momentum because they are destroying teams and won their last three games of December by an average margin of 39. Statiscally, McAlister stands out due to his points per game (21.3 in the month of December) and has shown that he has that NBA range. Hasn’t shown a lot on the defensive end though. Tacari Carpenter jumped four spots on my list because his size and physicality is arguably untouchable compared to any player in college or internationally right now. He is also finding his stride on the offensive end and had a 20 point game a few nights ago. Isaiah Morgan is who I was most surprised by though. His ability to do everything on the court and the fact that he has consistently gotten better and better leads me to believe he could be a true star in the NBA. He is officially my number 2 prospect in college and possibly overall. LeAndre Fitzgerald and Zy Wallace dropped a spot but not because they did anything wrong… Morgan just impressed me enough to jump the. I’m losing a bit of faith in Juwan Ellis as a top prospect due to the fact that he struggled a bit with the physical play of a couple of higher caliber teams this month. Cavier Fields dropped five spots even though he didn’t play a game because I just fear that his injury may hurt his stock overall but he could come back and prove me wrong. Speaking of point guards, Ade Kacour saw the biggest jump rising 6 spots. He has shown that he can damn near score whenever he wants and if he shows a bit more aggression, he could be a top five pick easily. I may have been wrong about top prospect Derek Ambrosius who has just been mediocre at Florida but he is still young and so is the season. Sean Matthews and Cameron Avaloy fell out of the top 15 due to inconsistent play. I think Avaloy can recover and is still just adjusting to not having his two star big men (Quinn Jenkins and Cheyenne Gamble) who left for the NBA last year.

INTERNATIONAL REPORT
As I mentioned before, Cavoski and Du Gast are the two gems of this international group. Both impressed me on the court last month but Cavoski edged out Du Gast this month mainly due to more playing time. He has just appeared so comfortable as has been rather dominant playing with men almost twice his age. He is really learning how to use his size to his advantage and his jump shot is becoming more automatic from mid range. Marco Modena saw the biggest increase last month and is showing some athleticism that I didn’t know he had in him. I think if he were to declare this year, he could potentially be a lottery pick. Unfortunately, I am having doubts about Vincent Dobrovsky and Vinnie Falcone as high lottery picks. Dobrosvsky was benched a few nights ago after making some bad decisions in a game and Falcone has been inconsistent showing from the field. It’ll be interesting to see how the youngsters respond to this and their response will speak to how scouts will perceive their ability to deal with adversity.

HIGH SCHOOL REPORT
Armanti Elliot is no longer the top prospect after a mediocre December and an overall bad game against a inner city rival. Elliot lost his cool and was ejected from a game and seemed to struggle with dealing with the frustration of not being able to get to the basket as easily as he is used to. Anthony Privott and Kordell Ramirez have emerged as the two top guys in the big man dominated top 10. Privott is just too damn clinical scoring in the post and has more go to post moves than some NBA big men. Kordell Ramirez has continued to show that he has the moves of a 6’2” point guard with the ball in his hands and recruiters are salivating at the possibility of getting him in their school’s jersey. Hakeem Jennings is the lone guard in the top ten and nobody can deny that he deserves to be there. After back to back 50 point games, Jennings was not shy about letting everyone know that he “could’ve scored more” if given the opportunity. I predict that he will be a 20 plus point guy in college as well as in the NBA in the future. Keep an eye on the 260 pound big men Terez Downing who has shown that rebounding and physical dominance is still alive. He already has a few 25 rebound games and opposing forwards seem absolutely terrified to go up against him. It’s no wonder he has jumped into the top five after this month.

MISCELLANEOUS
-Kentucky sophomore G Anthony Dumais continues to put out his teammates business as he let a local radio station know that all four Kentucky freshman are still leaning towards entering the draft but that G Treshawn McAlister is having doubts after discussing the possibility further with his parents. If any of them were going to stay, it would be McAlister who’s mother and father are a nurse and lawyer respectively and put a heavy emphasis on education.

- Oregon PG Sean Matthews says that he would seriously consider staying in school for another year if top 5 high school prospect Terez Downing signs with the school.

- Ohio State freshman G Tuvone Green has apparently been in the dog house with Ohio State coaches after he apparently broke some unidentified team rules. According to fellow freshman teammate, F Antonio Milanese, Green is having a difficult time adjusting to college life.

- There appears to be some bad blood between big men Arizona State sophomore big man Jaxon Gee and LSU freshman F Leyshawn Hall as the two young men had to be separated after Gee fouled Hall very hard in a blowout win by LSU. Both players are projected to be late first round picks at the moment.

- Although Illinois sophomore G A.D. Duncan hasn’t cracked my top 20, he is making his way up the list after a 40 point game against top ranked Kentucky. Although Illinois lost the game, I think the young guard gained the respect of a lot of fans, players and scouts.

- Although Kentucky freshman F Taryn Washington is having a decent season, rumors are circulating that he is not happy about being the fourth option behind top prospects Morgan, Carpenter and McAlister. If the rumors are true, there is a strong possibility that Washington will definitely be gone at the end of the year either by declaring for the draft or transferring.

- Rising star, Iowa freshman C Hamton Boulware was involved in an incident with a fan after he claimed that fans were making negative comments about his younger brother who has down syndrome. Boulware walked aggressively towards a group of fans after the game but was stopped by law enforcement. Although nothing came of the situation, Boulware stated “If you want to talk about me, talk about me. To do research on my family and use that against me is just childish and unacceptable”. I have to say that I agree with the 7’3” big man.

Hey so wanted to make a request in regards to Eurico Barichello. He is 6’6 and definitely a point forward. However his position on the draft class only has him listed as SF which can prevent him for properly being utilized in Sim Leagues.

I drafted him for this particular purpose. I envision him with proper coaching to be able to run and execute an offense and make others better. Based on your prediction of being a bust yes I feel that he will be a bust if he’s not going be utilized as a Point Guard with his skillset.

As a request, can you update his player card to be a PG / SF or SF / PG so that he can be utilized properly in Sim Leagues that are strict about playing Player Card Positions.

Since Lonzo Ball is 6’6, Eurico Barichello at 6’6 being played at Point Guard doesn’t ruin the integrity of the game due to an exploit. Just want to utilize him as an effective backup point guard that will facilitate an offense.

Just in case you didn’t know, you’re able to choose what position a player will play on the court by using the advanced rotation settings.

You go into the rotations where you choose how many minutes a player plays, who the starters are, etc. and you hit the “Start” button i’m pretty sure, but not positive. If that button doesn’t work, you should see it at the bottom of the screen somewhere.

This will pull up the adavanced rotations menu and you’re able to decide when players will go into a game (ex. choose the bench players to go in with 3 minutes left in the first quarter) and you can choose what position they will play on the court as well, regardless of what their set position is

I understand but it has more to do with the OA Sim League that I am in. If Eurico Barichello doesn’t have PG as a position on his player card I won’t be able to play him at PG.
