Claver is my starting SF and spaces the floor so well with his 3pt shot, and is a good Perimeter defender for me on the other end of the floor, giving me an awesome 3 & D Wing to play alongside Tre Hunter. Viggiano is a contributer as a rebounder, rim protector, and passer out of the post as my backup Center. Who are some of the gems you guys have discovered?

There are a couple sleepers in my league. I’ll post them here shortly.

I’m interested in hearing about other sleepers, as well!

Actually no. I believe the Sonics hired the Boston Celtics assistant coach, Jamie Young and he brought over the Celtics offensive scheme. So they were running with Tre Hunter and Savion White in the backcourt. That's the only thing I can point to because I was kinda shocked as well.

Annnnnd were back to count down the top 5.

        #5 Jabari Woodson
Jabari Woodson was drafted #4 overall to the Charlotte Hornets where he would spend the first 11 years of his career before being traded to the Hawaii Tropics mid season. Woodson would immediately come in and make a huge impact averaging 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists a game while also being a force on the defensive side of the ball en route to a rookie of the year award. While he never averaged a triple double, he flirted with one every year. His best season came when he averaged 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists a game. The Hawaii Tropics years can be summed up as ring chasing, but he ultimately came up short. He signed a 2 year deal with the Rockets to end his 17 year career. Woodson was quietly one of the best players in the NBA his entire career, but the postseason success eluded him. The Hornets would retire his #10 jersey.
Awards: Hall of Fame, 9 Time All-Star, 8 Time All-Defensive Team, Rookie of the Year, 1st Team All-Rookie
Jeffruel’s Take: Jabari Woodson was honestly never a tough player to play against, but he always put up incredible numbers very quietly. In Charlotte, he never got anything going, so I tried moving him to the Tropics to jump start his career. Woodson’s career sort of reminds me of Chris Paul’s. Great play, one of the best players in the league, but truly never did anything in the post season. I wish I had more to write about him, but he was just quietly one of the best players in the league.

          #4 DJ Trice
DJ Trice was selected #2 overall to the Sacramento Kings and looked like he would not live up to expectations averaging only 14 points per game over the first 4 years of his career. He then signed a max deal to stay with the Kings, and immediately took his game to another level. For the next 8 seasons he would average over 24 points a game and would always flirt with 10 boards a game. After contemplating retirement after breaking his leg, Trice was talked into joining the Orlando Magic super team where they made a run to the Eastern Conference Finals before falling to the Boston Celtics. Trice spent two years in Orlando before being traded to a Las Vegas team in an attempt to fill the seats for a struggling Aces team. Trice was also a force on the defensive side of the ball racking up numerous steals and blocks. While Trice had a Hall of Fame career, he frequently came up short in the playoffs.
Awards: Hall of Fame, 8 Time All-Star, Defensive Player of the Year, 7 Time All Defensive Team, 1st Team All Rookie
Jeffruel’s Take: DJ Trice might be the most talented player out of all of JBs classes and I don’t think there was a scenario where he didn’t end up in the hall of fame. It was crazy how he didn’t take off until year 5, but man he was outstanding during that 8 year stretch. Trice is one of the guys who could easily be #1 on this list if things would have shaken out just differently. He was an absolute menace on both ends of the floor and gave me some fits when he was in his prime. Trice paired up with DeAaron Fox for a bit and one other stud in Sacramento, I just can’t remember who it was but they didn’t do much.

I would have bet Trice was number 1. He was easily the most talented player out of all the draft classes in my first MyLeague. He basically ran the league until I started over. Crazy how different the MyLeague of everyone else turns out.

I'll add D. Cvetkovic to the list of possible top 5's as well.

JB, just wanted to thank you again for your hard and excellent work. Truly made 2k20 my favorite solo franchise game I've played in years.

Will you be back with these classes for 2K21? I think you know how much I enjoyed Desmond Cooper and Ja Morant as my backcourt in Memphis. Thinking I'm going to run with Phoenix next year.

                      #3 Davon Blackmon Jr.
Davon was drafted #5 overall to the Chicago Bulls out of the University of Texas where he came in and 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists a game to help give the Bulls a solid scoring option they had been severely lacking. Blackmon would elevate his game to an even higher level in his 3rd season when he would average 24 a game, and boost his 3 point percentage up to 39%, up from 24% and 26% in his first two years. He would average 25 the next season before walking in free agency to sign a max deal with the Hawaii Tropics. He would spend the next 8 years in Hawaii as one of the best players in the league being named to the All-Star team every year he was a Tropic, and he would lead the league in scoring and finish runner up in the MVP race when he averaged 35 points a game. Blackmon would then move on to the Washington Wizards, where he and fellow draft class stars, Zaire Woods, and Tyrese Hastings would team up for the Wizards. While Blackmon led the league in scoring again with 30 points per game, the Wizards missed the playoffs as their chemistry just seemed off. Blackmon would average 24, 21, and 18 points per game to finish out his career, each time missing the playoffs with the Wizards. Blackmon spent most of his career on .500 teams, with the exception of two 50 win Tropics teams. Despite this, the Tropics recognized his greatness and retired his #9 Jersey.

Jeffruel’s Take: Simply put, Davon was one of the best scorers I’ve had to play against. The dude can flat out put it in the hoop. If I could start it all over again, I would build a franchise around Davon because he ended up that good. He turned into a knock down shooter later in his career which wasn’t expected. I really don’t get how 2k decides if a team is going to be good or not because the Wizards were so bad, and they had 3 studs on that team.

                          #2 Zaire Woods
The rich got richer when the Kansas City Monarchs selected Zaire Williams #1 overall. The Kansas City Monarchs traded Colt Paxson and JJ Sheppard in 2032 for a 2032 2nd round pick and a 2037 1st round pick from the New Orleans Pelicans who secured a 5 seed in the playoffs thanks to the trade that year. However, the Pelicans would fall off a cliff in the coming years, and through some lottery luck, the Monarchs ended up with the #4 overall pick. The Monarchs then packaged the #4 overall, 2037 1st, 2039 1st, and 2040 1st round picks to move up to #1 and select Zaire Woods out of USC. Woods gave the Monarchs a much needed presence at the power forward position, something the Monarchs have lacked for the history of their franchise. Woods was not asked to do much in Kansas City as a rookie, but still managed to average 13 points, 7 assists, and 6 assists for the Monarchs on a team that would lose in the NBA Finals in 7 games to the Bucks. Woods would come back the next season and average 13 points, 7 assists, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks a game and be selected to his first All-Star game. His stats gradually increased every year he was on the Monarchs as they won 5 straight NBA titles. After their 5th straight title, Brighton Reed decided to hang it up, and the Monarchs would elect to start their rebuild, and Woods was not in their plans. Woods would be traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves for 3 1st round picks, and the Timbewolves got an All-Pro to put next to Fitzroy Gardner. His first year in Minnesota he would average 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists a game and help lead the Timberwolves to a 2 seed in the East. The following year he averaged 27, 13, and 7 but an early first round loss as a 1 seed led to bad blood between Woods and Gardner, and Woods decided to walk in free agency and team up with fellow draft class mates in Tyrese Hastings and Davon Blackmon Jr. in Washington. In Washington, the Wizards could not get anything going, despite the success of Woods who would stay here for 8 seasons before finishing his career out with the Las Vegas Jacks. Woods was a no brainer selection to the Hall of Fame and his #1 jersey is retired by both the Kansas City Monarchs, and the Washington Wizards.
Awards: Hall of Fame, 5 Time NBA Champion, 12 Time All-Star, Rookie of the Year, 1st Team All Rookie, NBA Finals MVP
JeffRuel’s Take: Zaire Woods was an absolute stud. I got so lucky that I won the lottery that year. I needed a PF bad, and he came at just the right time. I could tell right away that he was going to be a stud. He ran the floor so well. That, and when you would get a board with him, you would take it coast to coast and he would just go dunk it effortlessly at the other end. I could tell that he was going to be special, and I didn’t want to rob him of that by being in KC his whole career, so I traded him away to see what he could really do, and mannnn he took off. I feel like he was the closest thing to Lebron James that we saw in these classes. Reminded me a lot of Kenyan Markota from last year as well. I would have loved to of seen Zaire and DJ Trice go at it in their primes, but they were two different eras. Woods got into the league just as Trice was getting out.

Please continue with the awesome stories. If anyone has questions about any recruits I'd be happy to let you know how they've done in my play thru's.

I plan on doing draft classes again on 2k21...I've actually already started putting together some names and player types. If there are any player types you'd like to see I'm open to all suggestions.

Thanks for using my draft classes!

DC8 should be online around 6:00 pacific time.

Was curious to know who in your opinion are the top 5 best prospects you created, regardless of what team/coach system they landed on.

                              Re: JB's 2k20 (PS4) Fictional Draft Classes

First of all, thanks JB for these classes, this is amazing.
And thanks Jeff for these write-ups, and for your classes too !
I played a few of JB's classes, but I did not invest myself enough into that franchise, so I decided to start again with the New York Knicks. And boy what a ride this is !

I kind of knew about the potentials of the first DC by JB, so I wanted to do DC-1 for the first season, then DC-8, DC-7, and then jump with Jeff classes (DC-6, DC-5, DC-4). Will see how it goes.

So I finish the first season 8-21 (I play 29 games seasons). I win the lottery, great ! I decide to draft Mister Desmond Cooper. Then I see that Julius Walker starts to fall, so I trade RJ Barrett & Kevin Knox for the 8th overall pick. And take Julius Walker.

So after the 1st season, my team is :

                              Payton
                              Cooper
                              Stephenson
                              Randle
                              Robinson

                              And Walker off the bench.

In the 2nd season, things get real ugly really fast. Walker is a beast so I decide to trade Robinson for a 2024 1st round pick and Robert Williams to the Celtics. Then we lost, a lot of games. But hey, Desmond Cooper is clutch, he hit 2 game winners. But I'm still not used to his quick release. Julius Walker is a mega beast, but when he's doubled it's kind of a problem.

So, we finished like 11-18 in that 2nd season. Good for the 4th pick. But we jump again in the lottery, this time to the 2nd pick. Wow ! With the first pick the Thunder took Hastings, and I took Zaire Woods with the 2nd pick.

In the offseason, I wanted some defensive presence with Cooper, so I signed Jonathan Isaac et Lonzo Ball.

Roster for the 3rd season is :

                              Ball
                              Cooper
                              Isaac
                              Woods
                              Walker

3rd season began, and we underachieved again. We had a run at the end of the season, but ultimately we finished the season at 12-17. Still not good enough. Cooper was good, but he's still not there yet. Woods is special though, he is SOOO quick. Reminds me of Giannis a little bit.

So after that 3rd season, I land the 9th pick. But guess what guys... LOTTERY MIRACLE AGAIN ! lol ! We jump to #3.

                              1st pick, Cam Ellison
                              2nd pick, Devyn McCants

I then take Tony Twyman with the 3rd pick. I want him to lead the bench, and learn under Ball, then envtually take his place.

So I'm at the beginning of the 4th season, lineup looks like :

                              Ball (86)
                              Cooper (84)
                              Isaac (83)
                              Woods (84)
                              Walker (82)

                              Twyman (75)
                              Caldwell-Pope (75)
                              Williams (78)
                              Paxson (75)
                              Alston (74)

Hope this is finally the year we make the playoffs. If not, I'll pray for another miracle in the lottery and a show at Terrion Williams Jr. / Fitzroy Gardner !

                                Isaac (83)
                                Woods (84)
                                Walker (82)

                                Twyman (75)
                                Caldwell-Pope (75)
                                Williams (78)
                                Paxson (75)
                                Alston (74)

Love that update! Let me know who you end up drafting. Hopefully with that starting lineup you have you’ll be far away from Fitz and Terrion.

I will say, after running my classes alongside JB’s, my DC4 is a little overpowered at the top with 3-4 guys ending up HOF good. I personally didn’t like it and would’ve edited it if I still had access to that username. If it doesn’t bother you go ahead, as they likely wouldn’t end up on your team anyway
