Re: JB's 2K23 (PS5) Fictional Draft Classes
Hey JB,
LOVED your draft classes last year. They were the only reason why I made it through multiple years in MyNBA. What is your intent for rosters this year? Are you going to align with any specific roster set (I think last year you aligned to the ATD ones?) or will you just recommend to go with the default 2K rosters?
So I go in and make sure a good amount of them become busts or don't reach the given potential.
So ATD roster is probably a better fit; but they'll work with the default roster too.Comment

Re: JB's 2K23 (PS5) Fictional Draft Classes
I feel like they will work pretty well with the ATD or default rosters--however when I start up myNBA league I usually go through and do some rating adjustments to the current roster because the current rookies and 2nd year players are usually rated to where they hit at least 77 overall which causes there to be way too many players rated around 77-82 a few years down the road.
So I go in and make sure a good amount of them become busts or don't reach the given potential.

Last year I noticed your classes were somewhat binary on the boom/bust ratio (I.e. 0/100) but it worked. Whereas the Jeffruel classes were a lot more nuanced with their boom/bust. I like both ways to be honest. How are you doing yours this year?Comment

I was going to run them with default rosters in the first instance. So what edits do you make to the rookies? Do you change potential or just up the bust percentage in boom/bust?

(I might end up playing around with the boom/bust/average feature some more and make some true random players that can turn out either way)
I haven't looked into the current default roster close enough to see if this is still the case (where most players turn out to be at least role-players, with no real busts) but knowing 2K I'm sure that's how it is.Comment

Re: JB's 2K23 (PS5) Fictional Draft Classes
I'll be doing mine the same way as last year mainly because I want certain players to turn out a certain way just for maintaining the league balance as far as superstars, stars, starters, later picks that become stars; and early picks that bust, etc....as for the roster edits...I approach the last two draft classes (Current rookies and last years rookies) like I would my draft classes; I make sure some of top picks don't turn out, some become decent players, most of the 2nd rounders don't make it in the league, etc.

Re: JB's 2K23 (PS5) Fictional Draft Classes
Final version of DC-1 has been uploaded and is ready for use.
NOTE: there is an upload bug that hasn't been fixed yet and not sure if 2K will ever fix it--all of the players from the draft classes' attributes get randomized when uploaded. I've tried every workaround I could think of to remedy it, but nothing seems to solve the issue. If you want to check out the players true attributes download the file to a local save and open it and compare with the upload into myNBA.Comment

Are you a Rockets fan, JB?
You have Drexler in DC 1 and Thorpe in DC 2 as top players
I'm checking them out right now and love your work. Can't wait to see how these play out.Comment

Think they're only doing ps5 since classes don't cover both consoles.
