      @Tynole14 @JCross

Is anyone noticing a shooting boost after the recent game updates? I've played a handful of games today and both User and CPU have total game FG% above 50% and 3pt% in the mid 40's.

My last game I just finished against the CPU Kings, they had FG 58% and 3pt 45% while I had FG 53% and 3pt 45%. Shot attempts for both are still within the realistic range, but been seeing percentages like this since this morning when the game updated...

Also, I think overall game stats apart from the above are looking good minus a few outliers. I can't tell if the issues I've seen result from poor/lazy/sloppy AI programming or wonky animation problems. Still seeing low blocks on both sides of the ball, CPU had 34 assists last game and only 9 team fouls last game. It feels harder to get open shots too and I've seen less of a fast break game too. Players still seem too fast in most cases with animations taking away control. Players clipping through each other because of animations is still there. There is a difference between speed and athleticism not seen in this game. I think there should be more appropriate shot contesting in the paint that's not there because it's like players don't have appropriate awareness of where the ball actually is when they should. Seems like a lot of team plays are broken and/or when run, players don't recognize to run them immediately/completely and they often run into each other coming around screens and such and the AI doesn't even realize it's happening sometimes.

I feel like I'm seeing a lot of issues I didn't see with 2k23. Like this game is secretly a beta and we are all just a bunch of testers for 2k. Hope that's not the case, lol, but that's what it feels like sometimes. Maybe it's just me and I'm just frustrated. I don't remember 2k23 being this messy across the board...

Yeah, I'll have to take a look. Let me know , if you see more on shooting. Trying to get the Bucks finished. But 2k24 has definitely more problematic out the box. I felt as if 2K23 was awesome out the box. 24 has felt messy and arcadey feel to it for me. With the blocks , they have been good for me. Even got 2 blocks with Cade last game. We got plenty of time and teams to try and get the gameplay as best as we can.

Will do on the shooting. About to play another game now. I've been playing mostly as the Mavericks since they got done.

                @ Tynole14

So I just finished a game as the Mavs vs CPU Magic. I used your most recent WIP roster (9 I think) and your most recent sliders. I lowered the overall game speed to 40 again and I have been tweaking things playing around with trying to make the players more aware contesting and the contact more appropriately physical. I haven't changed anything about your shot/layup/contact shot success sliders though.

Final game stats for score and shooting:

Magic (CPU) vs. Mavs (User) - 12 min quarters

                122 vs 114
                FG 48/84 (57%) vs 42/81 (52%)
                3pt 10/24 (42%) vs 14/32 (44%)

I also left offensive consistency on your setting of 69 for each.

Yeah, looks like 3pt success can go down one after 2ks recent update. How's the contact in the paint? Paint defense lacking after recent update?

What about regular shot success going down a bit too? 57% seems high too.

What would you recommend trying for success sliders now on each now? FG and 3pt?

Contact in the paint is what I've been playing around with. I bumped inside contact up a lot to get more fouls. Last game I actually had a few players in foul trouble. Luka didn't play the first half because he picked up two early. Kyrie was the star for the Mavs. Couldn't stop Banchero no matter who was on him or the defensive scheme played. Beasted it up with 44 points. Some of that may due to the increase in shooting percentages too.

I'm going to change a few things and do another game and then I'll post with some full stats to share. You can see what you think.

I'd be very interested to see the shot chart percentages. So, is paint scoring too strong for both sides or just cpu? And did you bump inside shot contact frequency?

I'm on to a current game against the pistons. I'll post everything when I'm done. The last game against the CPU Magic through they had 68 points in the paint which was high. I think the 2022-23 real life per game high was 57 PIP. User PIP was still within a realistic range in the 40's I think. I did bump up inside shot contact frequency into the 90's for both. Driving contact is still around 50 for both.

Okay, just finished a game with your rosters and sliders but with a few of my own edits. Felt good about it overall. I was the Mavs against the CPU Magic again. See what you think below. I'd love some feedback/and or questions. I did slightly edit the shot success sliders for each making them lower for both. Still finding the sweet spot after 2k's recent updates...

Full game stats (12 min quarters)
                          Magic (CPU) vs Mavericks (User)

                          Points 116 vs 98

FG 50% on 90 shots vs 43% on 82 shots

                          3PT 41% on 32 shots vs 45% on 29 shots (3pt % is definitely a little high. 2022-23 per game high was upwards of 38% or 39% I believe.)

                          FT 13/17 76% vs 15/18 83%

                          Fastbreak points 23 vs 10

                          PIP 52 vs 28

Second chance points 9 vs 7

                          Bench Points 24 vs 19

                          Assists 27 vs 26

                          Oreb 12 vs 11

                          Dreb 39 vs 37

Steals 16 vs 8 (2022-23 low per game was 6 and the high was 9.) Need to tinker with this for the CPU some more.

                          Blocks 5 vs 3

Turnovers (Points off) 12 (28) vs 19 (13) (2022-23 low per game was 11 and the high was 16.) Need to tweak this more as well.

Team Fouls 11 vs 12 (2022-23 low per game was 17.8 and the high was 22.) Fouls are driving me crazy. Most games I’ve seen are low. Need to keep working on it. I know there is a fix somehow.

                          Dunks 10 vs 2

*One thing I've noticed playin this year is dribbling moves don't really shake the CPU defenders in 99% of cases. I've seen them just stand there in that stupid guard stance not moving while me, as Kyrie, is dancing with the ball and it's useless. I'll be exploring how to fix that too.

                              Magic (CPU) vs Mavericks (User)

                              Points 116 vs 98

FG 50% on 90 shots vs 43% on 82 shots

                              3PT 41% on 32 shots vs 45% on 29 shots (3pt % is definitely a little high. 2022-23 per game high was upwards of 38% or 39% I believe.)

                              FT 13/17 76% vs 15/18 83%

                              Fastbreak points 23 vs 10

                              PIP 52 vs 28

Second chance points 9 vs 7

                              Bench Points 24 vs 19

                              Assists 27 vs 26

                              Oreb 12 vs 11

                              Dreb 39 vs 37

Steals 16 vs 8 (2022-23 low per game was 6 and the high was 9.) Need to tinker with this for the CPU some more.

                              Blocks 5 vs 3

Turnovers (Points off) 12 (28) vs 19 (13) (2022-23 low per game was 11 and the high was 16.) Need to tweak this more as well.

Team Fouls 11 vs 12 (2022-23 low per game was 17.8 and the high was 22.) Fouls are driving me crazy. Most games I’ve seen are low. Need to keep working on it. I know there is a fix somehow.

                              Dunks 10 vs 2

*One thing I've noticed playin this year is dribbling moves don't really shake the CPU defenders in 99% of cases. I've seen them just stand there in that stupid guard stance not moving while me, as Kyrie, is dancing with the ball and it's useless. I'll be exploring how to fix that too.
Hmm 3pt percentages too high still. Looks like you are struggling to finish around the rim. Could always lower CPU on ball defense.

Mavericks and Bucks both giving us problems. No diverse play calling and they're not going through the stars enough. We have a fix, it's just time consuming. Roster will be uploaded in a few minutes with both teams done...
