Re: Jordan's Own Realistic 2k17 sliders
Played my first game with 2.9 vs the Wizards. I enjoyed the game and I saw some things I like more than v2.8.
More than anything I love the fact that with agile players you can go easily to the basket and that the invisible wall has disappeared. Rebounds are almost there, but still above average. There's no solution here I'm afraid (see my previous post). Still too few blocks in my opinion, again CPU had only 1 block. I played a lot inside (Vucevic, Ibaka, Biyombo, what else can you do?). FT are ok, I was intentionally fouled at the end. Steals and deflections are down with the new set (maybe too much?).
What I hate is the CPU almost always shooting in the first 10 seconds of the action. I'd never raise Off Awareness above 50, but that's my opinion.
Question: why user shooting foul slider is at 100? These are the fouls AGAINST user or made by the user? If these are against I'm afraid 100 will trigger more foul than blocked shots, and from there low block numbers. I tried lowering this value to 60/60 in v2.8 and I saw more blocks.
Anyway, I must say I enjoy more 2.9, it's less of a grind. In 2.8 I always averaged 40-42 FG%, but I'm using the Magic, not Warriors or Cavaliers. And stats are not bad.
Don't know why both teams had an off night from the 3 point line. Usually 42 slider has given me spot on results from 3.Attached FilesComment

Re: Jordan's Own Realistic 2k17 sliders
Is there a guide showing what each slider within the slider set does to the game?
There are so many slider sets out there but I have not seen the first manual. I guess you can use "common sense" to sort of guess what each (or most) of them mean but I wonder if it's just the community trying to figure them out without any real/documented support.
Some examples what are Hustle, Hands, Lateral Quickness...?? And what happens if you set them to 0? or 100? 3Pt Success = 100? means every single three pointer falls?
Again, just looking for a manual somewhere, not sure if it exists.
Thanks.Comment

Re: Jordan's Own Realistic 2k17 sliders
Ace, patch 1.06 just came out! Are you going to work on it? I really think that your sliders 2.8 are a masterpiece and will try to run the patched version with it...

Re: Jordan's Own Realistic 2k17 sliders
Ace, used your 2.8, here's what I got.
I noticed that sometimes even though my subs are on manual, the CPU still does it for me, that means that something is off and rebounds, shooting, fouls, will all be off. It's like it's not considering your sliders. When I see that I restart the game. You can se that on the first subs opportunities.
When the game runs your sliders, everything runs fine.
That even happened in myleague. In myleague is easier to notice that because teams will be with different uniforms.

The new 2.9 sliders.. Just a few more tweaks for the perfect rebounds and working on in the paint.. The new patch has increased points in the paint

Re: Jordan's Own Realistic 2k17 sliders
Hey guys I want some tips for this, so I'm using these sliders but with user timing, the problem is I don't use shot meter to make as realistic as possible, and layups and hook shots became impossible, hooks I can make sometimes, but layups are horrible I miss everything even with players like Paul George and sometimes I get the ball stolen from me when I'm trying to drive which makes even worse, but the 3 point game is much better as I have trained for hours with the pacers I know almost every release so I go normally with Paul george something like 3-5 in the half, I wanted to know some tips for layups etc because there are so many that it's impossible to remember all of them. The sliders are great but sometimes some jerky things happen like a 20-2 run by the CPU when I'm easily winning and my players bricking everything, also it seems that more or less contested shots are air balling and missing because I shot a fadeaway with Stuckey and air balled the same with Paul George although he was with Harrison Barnes near him.And shooting fouls are so frequent if someone goes to the paint it's a foul.Comment

From my experience, using user timing, sometimes it doesn't go in considering stamina and hot spots. Sometimes you are all about green releases. Layups I believe the timing is when the second step hits the ground but I am not sure.
Using ace sliders i think real fg% guarantees me the simulation scenery that I like. That applies for layups too.
I played like 20 games with ace sliders and don't remember this funny runs by the CPU happening, but I always adapt my bench, defensive focus and offense. Like calling timeouts when they score 3 baskets in a row. Consuming my whole shot clock, denying the scorer, etc

For the CPU run, they WILL try to break you down during the second half. All those impossible shots, and ones, fastbreaks, etc.. Don't run with their pace, slow down the momentum. Use the shot clock, time outs, use a different approach on defensive settings... But then again, we want a realistic game ain't we? Where the cpu opponent don't want to lose easily. It's up to the user on how to adjust with the situation. Sometimes I can beat super teams with the average teams, sometimes I lose to average teams using super teams. That's basketball. Keep having fun bro.

Re: Jordan's Own Realistic 2k17 sliders
Same here, I'm also having fun with these sliders via user timing without the shot meter. Sometimes, I also miss a lay up with curry, contested or not. That's the realism of it, you win some, you lose some, unexpectedly. It's all about practice I guess (with our style of timing).

Re: Jordan's Own Realistic 2k17 sliders
First game after 1.06 patch with the 2.9 version of these sliders. Really good game, very equal, with good numbers and until the end the victory was close for both teams. Finally I made the difference with a 3p, and that was all. I was the Pelicans.
