With a fresh dennis smith, yes. With other players, i have to use a screen. I like how the contested shots(cpu) are not automatically counted. I feel like the cpu is obliged to use a play. Their iso play doesn't always work. The game feels balanced now. Will test again using a lower rank team(user) vs a superteam(cpu). Thanks ace for the sliders.

The players(user) that are not controlled keeps on reaching in/stealing the ball(not the one they are manning), making most of the players in foul trouble and the team in penalty. Gameplay wise, i think the slider is balanced. Will have to use against a superteam. Thanks ace.

With the tendency to steal a ball lowered, i still got my team on penalty, but that's because of me contesting a shot, not from those unnecessary reach ins.

I'll try this out after work and I'm also working on a new movement sliders ...this game is too good especially with the right sliders...I've really tried all of the other difficulties but HOF has always been my thing because it forces you to run plays and play calm and smart...loving it

Any tips if i want to play with shot timing?

I'm getting fg% in the low 30s or even lower and
I'm missing many open shots with good shooters


It's also hard for me to get into the paint, the defense is so sticky

I'm working on both issues tonight..HOF is super tough so I'll lower a few sliders for both CPU and user..give me up until tomorrow

obviously there will be variables such as user shot selection and user pace of play, but 3pt attempts seem very low for CPUs in the posted stats

the modern game sees teams average between 23 and 42 attempts per game, 12-18 attempts should be very rare

Timberwolves, shooting the least in the league last year, started the season with 19, 22, 25, 24, 25, 22, 23, 22, 24, 24 attempts in their first 10 games of the season.

One of my concern on HOF is that the USER doesn't seem to have any defense inside the paint, or the CPU doesn't recognize their shot being contested. Your slider changed that. CPU misses inside the paint even with a hands-up defense only by the USER. Will have to try on an average team(user) vs a superteam(cpu) if the player's rate can affect the shot made inside the paint.

Do you use the shot meter? I think it's much easier to feel the player's release if you look at their jumpshot and not the meter. Blow-bys, i think, depends on the player, mismatch, and fatigue. I could easily dribble my way inside the paint with a fresh Chris Paul or Giannis, using the rhythm dribble only. A fatigued player would be very difficult to use during iso plays. On my part, i find it challenging that blow bys need a smart approach. Not like in 2k18, if you use KD or LBJ, its as good as a sure score with a blow by.

I think they changed the game from "blow by iso play game" to "good ball movement find the open man game". I play the game as is, no adjustments on defense settings, auto play calling offensively, just using the pick and roll when i can't read the play. Am too lazy to set it all up, hehe.

Yea I use auto plays but also pick a few plays along with pick and roll..defensive settings r very important this year...I'm loving the game with the new version and movement..a little more tunning left
