    Any changes to these lately? The game speed has seemed to increase to me but I haven’t played in a week or so. Maybe just me.

      I guess I'm a bit confused. My interpretation of the instructions are, in a nutshell, are below. I'm experiencing the same issue.

      Set all Offseason Auto settings in League Setup to "On" during League Setup
      Select all teams with triangle (PS5) button
      Go to Options -> Settings -> Team, and ensure all automation features specific to "all teams" in team selection are set to ON
      Within Options -> Settings -> Team, Use D-Pad to select my team I'd like to use
      Set to OFF any automation features specific to that team.
      Repeat for any other specific teams
      Confirmed my only desired team (all teams human controlled via triangle) have automation features set to off.

      If I go to the offseason, I only see Historic Changes and Advance to Next Season

      All teams are selected. I have the Bulls as the only team that have these features set to OFF. All other teams are enabled and selected to ON.

      The only way to get these functions to appear in the offseason is to go back into Options -> Settings -> League -> Offseason Auto -> and turn off Automation Features for the league.

        Got a few questions that I am wonder about just to try to get a better idea of not only the thought behind it but how the sliders work.

        1. Layup defensive strength takeoff 60 yet release is at 50. Why not the other way around? How do these work like different from each other? Also are these sliders like backwards? Or do user effect cpu and cpu effects user or what? The reason I ask is because I notice when you up the difficulty for the user these go up higher. I would think they would go lower because I thought the higher the easier it would be to defend layups. So why would sliders make it easier when high difficulty is supposed to be harder? I am really confused on how these work same thing with the jump shot ones.

        2. Shot coverage impact at 52 up from 50. How does this slider work? Is it like the lower the number the more open shots will miss but more contested shots will go in? The higher the number the more open shots will go in but more contested shots will be missed?

        Thanks for the work and any way you can maybe answer these questions.

          From my answer in your other post. I'll add this here for visibility.

          There is a great thread just a bit lower in the sliders forum list that gets into all of this in great detail. See that thread "The "Shot Defense Strength" Sliders Explained" here -

          In essence it is reverse from what you might expect. The User sliders impact the users offense, and the CPU sliders impact the CPU offense.

          From that thread -
          For example, set the USER sliders to 100 and the CPU sliders to 0, and the CPU will play fantastic defense AGAINST the USER, while the USER's defense will have very little effect on the CPU. Wacky...I know.

          The other thing to understand is what Takeoff/Gather and the Release sliders do. Takeoff/Gather impacts how the defenders react to the ball while Release impacts the likelihood of the shot going in.

          I like Takeoff higher so defenders react strongly to the ball in the paint, but I like Gather lower so defenders are a little slower in the perimeter and at midrange.

            So I just got this game and I can tell it is going to be great. I need help though, I can’t hit a mid range or outside shot. (I always have this problem on basketball games). I am using your settings, Real FG% and through 3 games I have a total of 8 points outside the paint. I am 0-11 on three point shots. Don’t get me wrong, I love the 80’s basketball of pound it inside. But when I have an 15-18 foot open jumper, I would like to hit it.

            What should I adjust to be able to hit some outside shots?

              Being open is very important and shooting in rhythm. Yes even on Real FG%.

              I actually shoot and release at the top of their shot even though it has zero effect because the placebo of it feels oh so sweet. Been playing that way since 2K11.

              I suggest you keep at it. Because I am having no issues with the mid range game.

              If you are still struggling after another 5-6 games then raise your mod range shot success but one click at a time.

              Sample size is the key.

                To avoid frustration, you could also bump up the User shot success sliders to around 50 for a game or 2 until you get the feel for shooting and then drop them back down when your FG% gets too high. That's what I usually do when I'm trying to get a feel for a new slider set. You can still get a feel for how it plays without getting frustrated by your 25% FG%.

                  Thanks. I will give that a try. Right now my offense is dumping the ball down to Jack Sikma and letting him do his thing. That guy was a monster that year.

                    Armor, I just tried your sliders. I had a blast! I took the 90-91 Bulls vs the 85-86 Celtics, at Boston. Amazing game. We won 110-108. The only weird thing was that the Celtics only shot four threes, and made none, but it was a different era, right? Bird had 32 on 14-37 shooting, including two missed threes. McHale killed us inside, 10-20.

                    Jordan had 60, 23-39. When things got tough, I just got the ball to Jordan. Pippen had 21, Armstrong 13, Paxton 12, and good old Bill Cartwright even had 4. This was only my third game playing 2k23. I usually play college hoops 2k8 on the ps3.

                    I'm looking forward to starting a Jordan Era Bulls legacy soon.

                      Anyone have a work around for free agency after year 1 of Jordan Era?

                      Tons of talent unsigned and no teams have money.

                      Barkley and IT headline the unemployed.

                      I control all teams tried to sign them after the FA period, but no one has cap space.

                      Not sure if missed a setting or something but my league is at a stand still currently.

                          Yes. You can turn it off as one of the options before you start a MyNBA or you can turn it off in one of the menus. I forget exactly which one but I think it's actually under "Contracts" in Tuning Sliders. I can double check tonight.

                            Is there anyway to get both CPU and Human to miss some free throws? My last game the two teams combines were 37 of 37. At this point I would be happy with 90%.

                            It kills the end of the game as you can't foul if behind because the FT's are automatic.

                            That's the only blemish I see with this game.

                              Cpu misses for me, but I have shot timing effect at 50. Not sure if that matters or not. In order for me to miss I've been switching sides with controller to the middle when my team goes to the free throw line. That definitely has caused me to finally see my team miss. A couple games ago my team shot 57% which was frustrating but relieved they are actually missing.

                                I'm not sure what affects it but if you want some real loose data, last week I was using Mike Lowe's sliders and computer was getting almost all 100% FTs. Saturday I switched to Schnaidt1's Sliders and I'm seeing the computer shoot around 60 to 70% . My human players were still shooting 100%. Xbox Series X. Real player % for both.
