Cheese is in the eyes of the opponent. If he feels that you are a cheeser, he has that right.

3 x 13 = 39 points from 3's alone...so imagine if you were allowed to steal inbound passes. Also, for him to mention no inbound stealing makes it seems that you would've done so if he had not requested.
How hard is it to counter an inbound steal?

All you have to do is switch players, then switch back to whom you wish to pass the ball to.

How hard is it to stop a 3 point bomber? Play tight on him, so simple it's ridiculous to even try to press blame on the offensive team. Yet few folks who posted in this thread didn't even consider that this guy may not be playing good defense at all.

Generally I play to the guys rules with the Detroit Pistons and he wins most of the time because he sets up so many rules and regulations pertaining to what's sim and what's not, that he has total control.

I'm down 10 in the fourth and I can't play tighter defense? His game is mostly pick and rolls with Kobe and Gasol the whole game and I'm fine with that. I'll never forget one game we played and I doubled Kobe every time he attempted a pick and roll, and complained when he loses the ball.

The computer steals his passes and he complains, come on if you suck just admit it.

No I am comparing the need for diversity in both situations instead of forcing everyone to suffer through things they shouldn't have to suffer through

Some people feel like user control offensive rebound is cheesing others do not. You cant have no one dictate what Sim and whats Cheese thats my point. and the original poster makes my point because he was doing something he thought was sim but his friend felt he was cheesing.
Agreed no such thing as cheesing just sucky sim ballers who can't adjust to there opponent it's a videogame I wanna see dunks and 3's and steals and lobs just like any nba fan wants to see it in real life its more entertaining I thought the point of videogames was to entertain ourselves not our opponent

I said it's a combination. Not one single factor contributes to a player exploding for a record performance. Do I have to remind you the difference between professional athletes and casual gamers?

If you scout your opponents, or prepare yourself to play proper offense and defense, you'll be fine.

And it is a damn SHAME that you took 23 3's with Gilbert in a 5 min game.......disrespectful to the sport

So you want me to pass up on open shots and force layups and work the ball around to my teammates with unnecessary passes for nothing? That's what I do when I'm trying to run the clock out when I'm up by a margin.

not taking the threes when someone leaves you wide open is disrespectful to the sport... And not taking them b/c someone thinks your cheesing and leaves you wide open is just plain stupid

Video game = you have more control.

Real Life = Less control than what you think

Kenny: Ok Vic, I'm ready for some girl on girl action.
Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
                            Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....

Playing SIM is ALL ABOUT self control. So YES, to play SIM you have to pass up:
                                Open Shots
                                Open Dunks
                                Contested Dunks
                                Uncharasteric Controlling of Certain Players

So to answer your question, YES
