I see we have off the ball post defense, but how in the hell do you defend a post player? its virtually impossible.

Re: Official Moves List
You can adjust out of a layup. You just flick the right stick or tap the shot button. You have to time it though...if its too late in the original animation, they won't do it. If it's too early they'll short arm it and miss badly. It also seems to depend on the angle...if the original animation is a very basic left or right hand layup it seems to not adjust--probably b/c those animations are so short, there isn't time for the second input. The short answer though is YES, you can adjust out of a layup. Again, it has to be a layup...it won't work for floaters.Last edited by shegotgame; 10-07-2008, 07:28 PM.The game is ours we'll never foul out. - Jay-Z

Dumb Question: When it says "Pull LT/RT", it simply means to just PUSH LT/RT, correct?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official Moves List
Anyone know how to do Jamal Crawford's shake-and-bake hop steps? I know it's in the game because it was in the first official trailer.

Re: Official Moves List
Too many moves for the offense, not enough for the defense in the post. It's always been that way for the 2K games since the introduction of post moves. The best we can do is make a timely steal attempt or guess which way they're rolling. Unfortunately, they can fake one way and go the other which totally owns you.Comment

Re: Official Moves List
Cutting.
Does anyone know how to control cutting to the basket? I'm talking about having a player in the high post and having a wing player cut to the hoop. It's something that I really want to be able to use as I like playing a princeton style offense. I used to be able to do it at will through the player controls in 2k7 but i've never played 2k8. I was just wondering if there was some way to control that or to control a teams tendency to do that. Sometimes the cpu does it automatically which is nice, but it's never enough. It really limits my options in the offense. Okay, well that's all I wanted to ask. Thanks for the help!Comment

Don't use the aggressive modifier (R2 or LT) too much. For instance if you wanna cross-over only press the modifier briefly for the initial right to left stick movement, then quickly let go of the (R2 or LT). If you are continuing to hold on to the modifier that will screw with your motions, and result in a series of iso moves that usually do what you had intended. Start with simple cross-overs, then once you are able to do those, move to more complex dribble moves. Also try a couple different camera angles, I think that drive or nose-bleed makes it easier too learn, as you don't have to worry about the whole camera relative thing.April 12 is Stack's dayComment

Re: Official Moves List
I love a D wade fave move but I dunno how to make it. But i saw a guy do it few times against me on XB live.
For example, Left hand driving to the left baseline with defender on him, then he will do a spin hop step to the right, hold the ball, and then spin back and do a fadeaway.
It's similar to the KG fave move too...shoulder fake.
How to perform this move? Thank you!Comment
