Something small: add that beep you hear when the shot clock is winding down.

Yep that would be cool.


I'd like to see more nagging injuries in association so less players play the full 82 games, and also if a team has already clinched their division maybe resting their starters for the last 2 or 3 games.

I've heard a rumor that Amar'e Stoudemire will be forever bespectacled upon his return next season. I think this would be a great time for 2K to reintroduce a handful of goggle accessories.

I REALLY like the playcalling in NBA Live while the playcalling in 2K9 is horrible. I also wish you shooting was easier. I don't like having to practice with a team just to be good with them in one quick game. Also, it seems like all shots (excluding layups and dunks) are straight up jump shots, slow fadeaways, or those weird leaners. I wish there was more flexibility and ability to create your own jump shot instead of having to drive to the hoop or kick it out. If you wanna know what I mean look at what Carmelo is doing in his series vs. the Lakers. He's taking a strong drive to the hoop and then pulling up for a midrange J while the defender's momentum is still moving him towards the hoop. It's similar to one of MJ's famous game winning shots (against the Jazz i think?) where he pushes off the guy, steps back, and wets one.

As someone suggested before, it may be time to include the ability to roll the ball in bounds to preserve precious seconds on the clock in semi-to-late-game situations. I was initially skeptical, writing it off as a rare occurance, but I have seen it time and time again these playoffs. LeBron James used it 3-4 times just tonight.

Imagine how NBA 2K9 could have looked and played without all the glitches, having the ability to break out of their bs animations and working sliders.

BTW My wish is that 2k gets it together, or I will jump on the next Good B-ball game that comes out, wether it be 5 yrs later, I will not purchase 2k10 if it has the same problems as 2k9.

what i would like to see, along with everything everyone else suggests lol, is for there to be a bigger difference between star players and scrubs.

There just isn't enough difference between the ratings levels. For instance, Kobe/Lebron. Undisputably the 2 best players in the nba. They can take over games. And im not talking about cheesing like you can in this game, cause you can cheese with anyone. But I'm talking about the real aspects of their game no one can emulate.

No one has the same combination of speed, strength and skill as lebron, therefore no one else should be able to bash his way through 5 guys and dunk on the tallest person left.

No one has the killer instinct of kobe, so no one else should drive a knife into his oppent like kobe.

I certainly am sick of seeing gerald green hit game winners and dunk on every one.

1) I love the edit prospects so keep it but add more like weight changes, more body types, and wingspans.

2) NBDL: Assign players to the DL to improve.

3) 10 day contracts: not a big addition but would be appreciated

4) DRAFT DAY: TRADES!!! (In reall life, teams trade ALOT of their draft picks. NBA 2K10- only the player trades picks. more CPU trades that include picks)

5) Create a Draft-Class: would be an awesome addtion! you can create a whole draft class and use it in any association mode. (in 2k9, i created the blakre griffin draft class like 10 times for each of my associations.)

6) SUMMER LEAGUE: i LOVE the summer league. theres no need for a preseason. just a summer league.


Basically, a deeper off season would make this game soooooo much better. So please 2k...

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but I would love to see classic signature for dunk and iso, such as Dominique/ Jordan/ DR J Dunks, and Isaiah / Magic iso, etc..

Above all else, I just am tired of seeing how stiff agile players move. The movement system seems unchanged since the Dreamcast days...

Something has to be done about that.

Just remove player pictures and either go with a bust like CHoops and the old NBA2k's used to use, or just use a snapshot method to have a photo of the cyberface. I think blank pictures suck, and the generated rookies looking like a Jon Barry/Richard Jefferson mixup, most of the time they look nothing close to it.

Fix floaters. They are too easy to block. Easier than regular layups. I have had a floater blocked by Iverson before...

Fixing P&D. Right now, if you have a big with a decent offensive skillset, it is extremely easy to get a triple double because once you get the double team, you just probe and wait for it to come, then hit the wide open guy for the three. With little guys, the defense doesn't really collapse much when you drive in, and thus it is hard to get a good shot on the perimeter most of the time. Make the defense collapse harder overall, but to combat always getting wide open shots off the collapse, make some sort of pressure passing rating. That way guys like Chris Paul can make a good pass out of a collapsed defense, and a guy who is not known to do that will have a high chance of throwing an errant pass, or getting stripped on the pass out.

Overall, the defense needs to react more to what is going on, instead of just sticking their man 20 ft from the basket. Open shots happen all the time on the perimeter, and it should be easier to get a solid mid range or 3 point look than just having someone cut to the basket.

I would like to see a spectator system put in place or a collaboration with LiveStream to allow players to watch live games from the leagues that they are in.

1. I agree with th thread about dynamic crowds-every bit of it.

2. Extra accessories such as facemasks w/accessories, hairstyles, etc updated through the living rosters (Carmelo still has cornrows)

3. Easier way to do offensive moves.

I hope that they address the 100% accurate passing, Passes do Fly over players heads in real life especially from guys that are not good passers, Tired of seeing 70 foot passes that are right on the button all the time, and not just from out of bounds plays. Also dribble the ball off someones foot, its incredible how people dribble all day in the paint but never lose they dribble..
