For me it'll be enough knowing they read it. Anyway, I'm sure they'll fix some of the major issues. but then again - creating a new engine/new gameplay mechanic will create new problems. It will never end...

Id like to see better substition from the computer to many times i see stars coming into the game late 4th quarter by then its alleady to late to come back if the team is down, aslo improve zone defense, often defnders will not cover their zone area and end up leaving someone wide open please fix this please.

You can change the method of subs, between rotation and fatigue, also there are alot of things that come into play, that determine if stars come in and out of games. If it for your own team, you can sub players in yourself, even on the fly with out the pause menu. You also need to make good decisions with your subs, so that your stars are playable in crunch time. Players in foul trouble are likely to be benched as are players that are being ineffective on the floor. But above all, take control of you own subbing and you have noone to blame but yourself. As for the zone defense, it is designed to guard the interior (in particular, it was brought in the stop Shaq) so if you run it alot, expect to get killed on the perimeter, even from mid range. NBA players, as a whole, are good shooters, that's why the zone was and still should be absent from the NBA. Zone also requires more movement from your bigs and thus cause fatigue issues as well, AND if the offense is properly spaced, you can have your choice of wide open 15 footers or back door cuts all game long. Zone is a possession defense, not a full game strategy. You have to pick your times to use it carefully. Lakers and Sun are a couple of the few teams that have the personnel to play zone for an extended period of time. You need quick bigs, and very good perimeter defenders in the back court.

One other thing to be carefully of is that zone requires a lot more focus as the player you are guarding changes often, which makes transition defense a challenge. Ironically, or maybe not so much so, the Lakers and Suns are probably, also, two of the worst teams to play zone against.

Remember, zone doesn't JUST mean guard an area, it means guard a player CLOSES to your area. If the offense sends 5 players to one side, do you think defenders will stay in an empty area and let the two defenders guard 5 players? No, they will have to move OUT of their zones. So you have to know when you zone is breaking down and MAN UP. It's not like zone in football.

I think the zone logic needs to either be reworked, more effective, or taken out all together...i hate the the cpu's ball reversal is lightning fast and you are really never in position to do an accurate rotation. The cpu's AI is terrible! And the opposition make entirely TOO many THREES as a result.. this needs to be fixed quickly

also, the blocking needs to be reworked...i've never seen a team avg 16 blocked shots a game...thats absurd and very unrealistic.

They don't have to take out the zone, you could just not run it. Perhaps you could try turning up your help defense slider. But, even in real life, that's one of the pit fall with running the zone defense.

As I stated earlier, zone is meant to be a possession defense, like a press or a trap, not to be run on an extended basis. Zone is run more by teams (players) with weak individual (primarily interior) defense at specific times to fend off a specific threat.

Good ball movement, and the CPU has excellent ball movement (maybe the best AI in any game EVER, at times, with the possible exception of GRAW2 - Damn they sneaky) will kill the zone every time.

People on this game just need to learn to play a more fundamental defense. You don't always need to be all up on the ball handler reaching for steals, double teaming on every pass and waiting to play defense AFTER your man has the ball. Learn what the team you are playing likes to do and force them to do something else. If CP3 likes to go right, give him the left and have help ready to pick him up. Know your defensive assignments, not just your primary check, but who and when you are supposed to double team. This is something that the Spurs, Jazz and Pistons have mastered, and it results in not giving up bad matchups.

That is something that is missing in this ONE-PASS gaming world that we play in, people don't move to ball around enough to create favorable matchups, but quess what, the CPU does, and they take advantage of sloppy defense and the first thing people do is run to the zone or the sliders. Just learn to play defense with your feet and not your hands and this means play position defense. Most steal are in the passing lanes, not directly from a player, and most block come from help defense, not the primary check.

Many times I have a great pass opportunity - like a wide open player under the basket, but instead of passing to his hands or higher - my guy passes to his legs and the CPU gets the ball 9 times out of 10. This needs to be fixed.

I have played MANY game and I haven't really seen this, are you using icon passing or just directional. Also, I would check your passing sliders and your hands sliders. Also if he is truely WIDE open, try throwing the Alley..

I use icon passing. I'll see if there's any problem with the sliders.

I want weight to actually play a part in things, you can have a 200lbs guard keep a 295lbs post player from backing him down, it's really ridiculous that physics play no role in this game.

How about more than just 3 body types, let height, weight and muscle density determine how someone is built.

I am sure it has been posted here on this thread already (did not see it) but I would say a major thing for me is for 2K to get the floor spacing right and allow for more in and out gameplay. Players coming off of screens (both AI and User) getting open shots from 11, 15 & 17 ft. out - More mid range gameplay and less long bomb three's - Spacing and floor movement. Expanding on what they did last year in making the AI have players run around and get open.....
                          Truly Blessed -

It's dumb you can't back down unless the defender is inside the paint. If you're outside the paint you should be able to back down still, or at a minimum the defender should back off slightly. If I have a post player with a smaller guard switched on to him it's ridiculous I can't back down just because I'm outside the paint.

No it doesn't. We need more turnovers in the game as it is now. Don't ask for them to be removed.

Less 7"1 290-300 behemoths in the draft, I know I can adjust height on prospects but I shouldnt have to, there are very few 7"0 + guys that come out in the draft, and even less of that that are north of 270lbs, yet every center prospect is basically a young Shaq.
