3 games in with orlando playing on superstar

I dont have the stats in front of me bc im at work.

First game hedo missed a game winner against the hornets on a pull up jumper at baseline that was pretty open bc he was guarded by peja.

Second game the bobcats beat me by like 15, rashard shot terrible, and wallace doesnt miss bc his silly 3 pt rating and him and wallace were cutting all over me

Then against dallas my first home game, dirk hit a 3 to send it to OT with .2 left with rashard all over him, then in OT down by 1 with 3 seconds left rasahard hit a j in dirks grill to win from the elbow. Pretty much identicle to this though it was all net and at the elbow so from a little farther http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uy6y4GqcMMQ

I'm using default sliders and rosters, so once I get those updated I'll probably restart my association and do longer quarters, I think those games were on 6 mintues

Damn...You got torched by Charlotte?! Funny thing is...Orlando just killed them in their 1st preseason gm by like 30...

Yea...I had to restart a couple different associations last year because my sliders were all whacky, and I didn't like the games I played in which resulted from it.

I made sure to keep my 'BIG 3' settings file from NBA 2K8, and I just copied those sliders on a sheet of paper and used them as my base for 2K9. I've already started off w/ two great games, and w/ little minor tweaks here and there I won't need to restart anything.

I always have to play 12 minute qtrs...anything less would be uncivilized.

Rashard shot me out of that game, but he was constantly open, and J rich and Wallace ran wild. It doesnt make sense to get beat by them then barely lose to new orleans and beat dallace I realize.

I'll probably go to 12 and because I'd like to get more guys off the bench mintues. JJ is my favorite player in the league and I cant logicaly play him when games are tight over Pietrus and CLee.

But I'll get and download Rashidi's ratings later and someones sliders and see how it goes for 12 minutes

How's Carter playing for you, and the rook Lopez?
Lopez isn't rebounding as good as I like but Williams is(12 rpg ) so its somewhat of a tradeoff. I've got some work to do on his offensive low post and he's not as strong as I thought he would be. Thru 5 games he's averaging

            10 ppg
            4 rpg
            .5 bpg

Carters been alright but its easy to lose him in the shuffle of trying to be a low post team. I'm used to playing as the Spurs but I've decided to wait for the rosters to settle down before I start a franchise. I've got Carter at 19 ppg. I definitely need to change my style to be effective with this team.

If you can mold someone into that desired low-post threat you'll reap the benefits of Carter's 3pt shooting ability.

Shaq and Amare (mainly Shaq) have seen all sorts od double teams, and I've been able to kick out to Bell, Barbosa, or Nash for a wide open 3. Although it didn't work so good in my 2nd gm vs NO because I went 1-11 @ 3's, but against the Spurs I had 18 w/ Bell...12 of em came by way of 4 3's due to Shaq kicking it out to him.

Its really awesome to have that low-post threat, and for the CPU to double them up leaving your man wide open.

Just started my Nets Association on the All Star Level.

In my first game, i went against the Wizards. I played horrible defense and the Wizards made a lot of shots. I was pretty much behind for the whole game until the 4th quarter. With 5 minutes to play i was i think down by 10 or so and i just subbed Vince Carter back in. I drove to the basket with him a couple times and made a three. He got hot then with 31 seconds to go i was up by 4. The Wizards took a timeout, then quickly inbounded it to Gilbert Arenas and he drained a 3. There were now about 26 seconds left, so i had to at least make a 2 pointer. And i did. The Wizards took there final Timeout and moved the ball well. Then Gilbert Arenas was wide open with 1 tick left and he missed it! The game was really a great experience and i was so relieved he missed that.

My second game was against the Warriors. I don't remember too much from this game but i remember i led for most of the way and it was a high scoring game. But in the end i did win.

So right now i'm 2-0 and lookin to put the difficulty up to Superstar. But the next to games are against the Suns and Pistons so i hope i can play good against them.

yeah I'm concentrating my scouting efforts on PFs and Centers in the event that I decide to pass on resigning Boone. I think Lopez will shape up nicely though. Maybe next season or the following.

                    Hello fellas,

I'm playing my 58-game association with the Grizzlies, and I'm currently 0-5. I think I'm a tone down from HOF to "all-star" mode. Teams are shooting over 70% from the field each game.

Durant went 15-15 from the field last game. I lost by 8.

However, I've lost by less points each game, so, there you have it. This is how I do my training and build my patience, so when I'm playing with a beast team (i.e. Houston), I'll be more appreciative of running plays, having more talented players, etc.

I try to be as realistic as possible, and I traded a disgrunted Antonie Walker, a 2010 1st round pick, Buckner, and Lowry to the Knicks for a disgrunted Marbury and David Lee to give my team a serious punch. Marbury on his last year of his deal, so I lose nothing.

I got offered Kenyon Martin for a M. Jaric as well, and I took it.

Rudy Gay is 'Melo number 2 with more defensive potential. Mayo is inconsistently nice as hell (he's either hot or cold, typical of a rookie SG). Marc Gasol is solid. Conley's learning curve aint as high as it should be -- he may get benched for Marbury so I can save my job!

I'm 4-5 with the Bulls playing on Allstar with 10 min quarters. I've beaten Mil,Mem,Atl,Dal, and lost to Cle twice,Bos,Orl,and Phx. Lebron absolutely kills me i can't do anything to stop him. I've quickly came to the conclusion that my only hopes of winning are Derrick Rose 19ppg 8apg 3rpg. I've started driving to the hoop more with him and been having better success. He gets fouled a lot as well. It's a struggle on O and the low post defense is pretty weak. I got offered a Camby for Gordon deal and really wanted to take it but looking at all the g's the Cippers had it didn't seem fair. I'm going to try to deal Gordon or Hinrich for a good big.

                          Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

After starting my season 0-6, I finally won a game at home against the Thunder (revenge for lost) and a road win against the Wolves. I play 8 minute quarters (to avoid every game going over 100 points for each team).

So, I'm now enjoying a 2 game winning streak (2-2 since Marbury trade), and my team is finally starting to "get it" somewhat after all the trades and such.

David Lee is now on the bench, as I am now starting Warrick. His moral went down drastically, and now he's talking about signing elsewhere after this year. Lee is equally effective off the bench, and ironically, Warrick has been solid for me in two starts. It's hard to find time for Arthur (rookie from Kanas) though.

Marbury has been a beast off the bench, playing both guard positions (not 21 million worth, but anyway). I kept his role as "starter" so his moral wouldn't drop, although he's officially my sixth man.

I changed the CPU sliders a bit, and the game is more realistic from the CPU standpoint. However, the difference from "Pro" to "All Star" levels is still pretty drastic. The CPU, even with the slider adjustments, plays too dumb in "Pro" and still a little unrealistic at times in "All Star."

My realistic goal was to win 4 of my first 10 games to start off. These next two games are must wins.

Wish me luck. I now take every possession seriously, like its a playoff game. The CPU capitalizes on every stupid move you make.

You might want to package with Noah or Thomas with either of those guards.

What "kind" of big are you looking for?

Lebron absolutely kills me i can't do anything to stop him. I've quickly came to the conclusion that my only hopes of winning are Derrick Rose 19ppg 8apg 3rpg. I've started driving to the hoop more with him and been having better success. He gets fouled a lot as well. It's a struggle on O and the low post defense is pretty weak. I got offered a Camby for Gordon deal and really wanted to take it but looking at all the g's the Cippers had it didn't seem fair. I'm going to try to deal Gordon or Hinrich for a good big.
Good move...I feel if I accept some of those trades etc. that I ruin the 'integrity' of my association.

In 2K8 I accepted some rather unbalanced trade offers from CPU teams. Only to play another month or two, save over my association, and then not be able to completely live w/ the trade I made; which resulted in me starting all over.

I'm exercising more restraint this yr...

If I were you I'd develop a low post gm w/ Tyrus, and run w/ him...He's got the athletic ability, and just needs a low post game to go along w/ it.

You should trade Hinrich though since Rose will supplant him, and Hinrich isn't really a combo guard.

Maybe look to the Knicks...David Lee could be an option, or Randolph, assuming they would want to move Z-Bo because Lee fits the D'Antoni style better AND would need to be resigned...Why have to PFs making big bucks? Or assuming they would move Lee because they already have Randolph under contract.
