    Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Hello Everyone, I was wondering if I could ask for some help or advice on a problem I was having in my Franchise.

I am currently 7-1 in my Nets Franchise, but the problem is the game is saying I am currently on an 8 game winning streak. I don't know if this is a big deal, or if it is just a small bug.

I've never seen that.........has to be a bug......

I'm 28-15 in my Pacers association..........I think its fun as hell and realistic......

I'm coming off a 103-64 loss to the Rockets, lol...They had 6 players in double figures and Artest wasn't one of them...

Before that, I beat the Spurs who are without Parker(out for the year with a torn ACL)..The Spurs actually had Manu playing PG and he played nearly the entire game, lol.....He was on gatorade for like 3 quarters.....

And I lost to the Hornets before that........I lost both games to them and they killed me both times.....The first game, Chris Paul got a tripple double on me with 21 pts, 12 ast and 11 reb....David West also at 25 and 12 in that game.....

The second game, I lost 91 to 66.....I just couldn't score........Also, Granger is out for 1-2 weeks......He hurt his shoulder diving for a loose ball.....

Paul had 13 pts and 10 ast on 5-11 shooting in this game.....

Granger is avg 22.3 pts, 5.4 rpg on 48% shooting, 39% from three.....

Murphy is avg 13.2 pts and 8 reb.......35% from three...

      My roster is

      PG - Jack
      SG Dunleavy
      SF - Granger
      PF - Murphy
      C - Hibbert

      Daniels
      Rush
      Anthony Johnson
      Amir Johnson
      Foster
      Nesterovic
      Von Wafer
      Diener
      McRoberts

I haven't made too many changes, I want to get at least to the all star break.......The only one on my team who's unhappy is Rasho but I don't care cause he's a free agent and its gonna free up enough space for me to go after Boozer who is the top PF free agent next year in my association and thats what I need.....

My team avg. 95 ppg and we allow 91.4

Games usually come down to Granger making plays down the stretch.

Since he's been hurt, its hard to score.....

I love this game, its so much fun......I play with BL's sliders, outsiders rosters and I don't switch on defense.........Makes the cpu play more more realistic and also makes your cpu players more realistically also......12 minutes

Set every teams pb's to standard.....Other changes........

I get help D, smart cpu opponents who run plays and play aggressive....Stars taking over games, mostly everything I see in the NBA....I play it more now than I did before....I spent most of my time playing online but the association is the **** too.......

I bet your loss has been calculated wrong. I am not sure but I think that happens when you go on practise after a game and that game will be counted at a certain time between 3rd and 4th quarter. Look at the stats of that game and see if there has been a change in the final score.
Funny thing is. They have different ways of calculating stats. Though i.e. in this case your total stats are correct, but home and away are incorrect, just like the streak stats. In the simulation screen this games will likely be counted as a win although you lost. However since the total win/lose stats are correct it's simply an annoying bug, especially for other rather unimportant stats.

          Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Check out my fantasy draft season thus far:

I'm playing as the Houston Rockets, but the main thing about this association is that I only wear the red old school Rocket jerseys home and away, and then wear the pinstriped jerseys as an "alternate".

          We are 26-13 so far.

          This is my starting lineup:
DJ Augustin - I wanted a young point guard to build my team

Marquis Daniels - I like the fact that he can handle the ball and he crashes boards. Occasionally he hits some really big shots.

Thaddeus Young - My wildcard. Decent rebounder, great on the fast break. If he gets hot, he can even knock down the trey-pound.

Chris Bosh - Franchise player. Obviously great around the rim, great rebounder, can hit the midrange. I'm trying to develop his perimeter game even more to give him a Dirk Nowitzki type of offensive package.

Tyson Chandler - Changes the game for me on defense. Excellent rebounder and alters plenty of shots.

          My bench:
          Mickael Pietrus
          Matt Barnes
          Drew Gooden
          Quincy Douby
          Smush Parker
          Aaron Gray
          DJ Strawberry
          Francisco Garcia

I like my bench because of their athleticism, mostly. Douby turned out to be a surprise for me. He got his chance when Smush got hurt, came in and gave me buckets.

I'm 11-1 with the Lakers. Only lost to hornets because Fisher couldn't hit a 3 at the end.

Just had a game against Mavs who were 3-10, and it was pretty close, down 6 by the half, 3 by 3rd Qtr. Dirk and Kobe both had 30+ games. Ended as 117-109, Mavs missed 3 shots at the end and got beaten by the break! I'm quite relieved I've still got a perfect home record.

I just got Chauncey Billups for Jarvis Crittenton. I would say that is a bargain. Looks like Fisher will be playing less minutes now.

                    Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Just won my second straight title with the Cavs last night in a thriller.

In my first season (three years ago), I traded Illgauskus and Mo Williams for Luol Deng. Aaron Gray, and Ben Gordon. Lost to the Celts in the ECF.

The next season, I let Varejao walk and signed Marvin Williams to play PF. We won the title that year with Gordon averaging almost 25 a game and Bron averaging 23/9/8. Deng won 6th man of the year.

This season was a roller coaster. In the offseason, we picked up Shaq to solidify the frontcourt in an effort to breeze to the NBA Finals. I was not aware of the drama Shaq was going to bring though. After complaining about minutes and shots, I finally just had to release him. Let him go altogether. Luckily, I was able to pull off a JJ Hickson for JaVale McGee trade for a starting C.

Anyways, in a closeout game before the ECF, we lost Deng to injury. We barely beat a loaded Bulls team with Rose, Amare Stoudamire, and Josh Howard in 7. We then play an even more loaded Lakers squad. This team has Kobe who is a 99, Gasol who is a 95, Steve Nash who is a 97, and Bynum who is a 99 in addition to Ariza who is a 83 and Vujacic who is a 89.

They go up 3-1. But in the nick of time we get Deng back and win 2 close, tough games. Game 7 was just a cliffhanger. They came back from 13 in the third to lead by 5 with 5 minutes to go. Gordon caught fire though. Every time a huge three needed to be made, he made it. He hit a 3 with 20 seconds left to put us up by 4 and seal our second straight title.
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

                      My Knicks Franchise

I sim the regular season, but I play the playoffs.

Year 1: Fire sale at the beginning of the year, traded Chris Duhon, Eddy Curry, David Lee, Al Harrington, and Wilson Chandler for an assortment of players and draft picks, ended up getting the Grizzilies and Kings first round picks out of the deals. I kept Nate Robinson as my PG for the future. Went 32-50, won the lottery and ended up with picks 1, 2, and 5. The Lakers won the title.

Pick #1 - Brad Potter, (myself as an edited SG prospect). I modeled myself after Lebron when he came into the league.
                      Pick #2 - Willie Gooden, a 7'1 290 pound monster of a C.
Pick #5 - Everett Higgins, a 6'6 SF who was a comparison to Paul Pierce.

Free Agency: Signed J.J. Reddick to give us a sharpshooter off the bench.

Year 2: My guy comes in and dominates right off the bat, he won the league MVP averaging over 38 points per game thanks to the fact that Gooden and Higgins have overalls in the 70s, but high potential. We make the playoffs on the last game of the season, but get beat 4-1 in the first round by the top seeded Celtics who go on to win the title. I had traded Larry Hughes in exchange for a first round pick this year.

Pick #18: D. Sharpe, a PF with high potential, and is a good rebounder
Pick #19: J. Schmidt, a PF who is average overall.

Free Agency: Signed sharpshooter Travis Deiner who is a great, cheap backup PG. Shaun Livingston was signed as a utility player and plays the 1, 2, and 3. D. McGuire is a great defender who can play the 3 and the 4, and lastly I added Josh Boone who is a great defender. Overall these are some nice role players for my team.

Year 3: Everything comes together. Potter wins another MVP averaging 38 per again, but Higgins and Gooden slowly start to put things together. We ended up with the #2 seed in the East and went undefeated until we met the top seeded Cavs in the Eastern Conf. Finals. Potter goes head to head with Lebron all series, then explodes for 65 in the deciding game 7 including the game winning jumper with 1.8 left, and blocks Lebron's attempt at a game winner.

In the finals, we faced the Blazers. They had added Shawn Marion, DaQuan Cook, Larry Hughes, Jarryd Bayless, Carlos Boozer, and Grant Hill to go along with Brandon Roy, Greg Oden, and Lamarcus Aldrige. I ran the entire offense through Potter all series, he ended up with a triple double in 5 of the seven games, and just barely missed it in the other two. With all of the focus on Potter (Who still averaged over 38 points for the series), Gooden stepped up and became a force in the paint, and Higgins played excellent when we needed it. We got down 2-0 in two close losses, then tied the series up. The Blazers won, then we pulled off a win on a Higgins buzzer beater in game 6 to stay alive. Game 7 belonged to Potter, and he had 53 points, 12 boards, and 14 assists to lead us to a 99-85 win (Gooden tacked on 26 points and 10 boards). Nate Robinson played hurt throughout the playoffs but was still clutch when we needed it. So, we won the title and I returned most of the team.

Pick #29: SF Eddy Ward, a player with a low potential but can contribute for us right away.

Free Agency: I was tempted to spend big money on a lot of guys, but in the end I didn't sign anyone because I plan on locking up Potter, Higgins, and Gooden long-term in the future, I may be forced to deal Robinson to do this but finding a PG shouldn't prove to be a problem.

So, for year 4, here's my lineup:
                      PG: Nate Robinson (94 ovr)
                      SG: Brad Potter (99 ovr) 6'9 233
                      SF: Everett Higgins (92 ovr) 6'6 234
                      PF: D. Sharpe (77 ovr) 6'9 210
                      C: Willie Gooden (85 ovr) 7'1 290
                      6: Travis Deiner (80 ovr)
                      7: J.J. Reddick (72 ovr)
                      8: Josh Boone (76 ovr)
                      9: J. Schmidt (76 ovr)
                      10: Shaun Livingston (78 ovr)
                      11: D. McGuire (77 ovr)
                      12: Eddy Ward (75 ovr)
Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati Reds

                        Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Just wrapped up my second season as the Grizzles (50-32). I was the #5 seed in the playoffs and defeated the Lakers in the first round 4-1 but lost to the Blazers in the second round 4-1. The Blazers went on and won the NBA Title beating the Magic 4-1. Brandon Roy was the Finals MVP and also the regular season MVP.

                        2009-2010 Roster

                        Starters:
                        C M. Gasol
                        PF D. Arthur (2nd team all-defense)
                        SF R. Gay
                        SG O.J. Mayo
PG J. Teague (rookie from Wake Forest; 1st rd pick 4, rookie of the year and all-rookie first team)

                        Bench:
                        PG M. Conley
SG Q. Richardson (traded away M. Jaric for Richardson's expiring contract in hopes to land Lebron James in the offseason)
SF E. Preldzic (rookie from Slovenia; 2nd rd pick 4)
PF C. Brackins (rookie from Iowa State; 1st rd pick 28)
                        C D. Milicic
                        C H. Haddadi
                        SG G. Buckner

Went into the offseason determined to get some "help now" players. Eventhough i had a good record, I felt that there were many games that I shouldve won if I had more go to players other than Gay and Mayo.

So during the offseason I accepted Mayo's and Arthur's options but declined Conley's option. Resigned Gay to a 6 yr deal and released the rest (Milicic, Conley, Preldzic and Richardson).

Went into the draft with 2 first round picks for the trade with the Rockets. I ended up with the 22nd pick and chose a 6'7" 239 lbs SF D. Beasley (2k created) and the 25th pick and chose 5'11" 179lbs PG A. Jefferies (2k created). Signed both of them as Prospects.

Then here came my favorite part and the most anticipated part of the offseason...Free Agency. I had about a good $27-28M in cap room. So my #1 mission was to sign Lebron James. So I offered James a 5 year, player option contract worth about a good $98M. I also offered LaMarcus Aldridge, Shaquille O'neal and Steve Blake a contract. A couple of days past by and the first player to agree to a contract was Blake. So I confirmed him and signed him thinking I can have him as my backup PG. The very next day James agreed to my contract offer, beating out Miami and Cleveland. So I confirmed it and signed him. But the thing is, I was thinking if i signed him, I was going to move Mayo to PG, Gay to SG and James at SF. So I had to trade Blake away. I traded Blake to Cleveland straight up for Delonte West. I can put West as my backup SG behind Gay. I dont like Buckner at all. But anyways that trade freed up about an extra $3 million in cap room. I didnt have enough money to sign Aldridge so I had to withdraw my offer. So I simmed a couple of more days and ended up signing O'neal to a 1 yr deal.

I was thrilled about how my offseason went. I managed to get the guy I wanted, some front court help and a spark of the bench.

                        So heres my 2010-2011 roster:

                        $2.15M in cap room

                        Starters: (rating)
                        C M. Gasol (81)/S. O'neal (79)
                        PF D. Arthur (82)
                        SF L. James (99)
                        SG R. Gay (92)
                        PG O.J. Mayo (90)

                        Bench
                        C S. O'neal (79)/M. Gasol (81)
                        SG D. West (78)
                        PG J. Teague (82)
                        PF C. Brackins (73)
                        C H. Haddadi (72)
                        SG G. Buckner (69)
                        SF D. Beasley (rookie)(68)

                        IR:
                        PG A. Jefferies (rookie)(64)

Well I started my 2010-2011 season. Im off to a 3-1 start and already O'neal wants an extention. But besides that, I lost my first home game to the Bulls. I always seems to have problems facing that team. They blew me out the season before and won by 11 on my homecourt. So this season for me is a championship year or fail. With the players I got now after years of failure, I dont see why we cant win a 'ship this year.
