Having a pretty good start with my Nuggets, I jumped on a early trade i was offered that would send RIP Hamilton over. My team is 5-3 so far. Anthony is blazing by people with 30 points a game. Billups with 24 and Hamilton with 16. Martins getting 7.5 rebounds per game. Pretty much Hamilton can take a game where your teams down 10 and turn it into a your teams up 5. His 3 point shot rules over everyones. Anthony knows how to take it to the paint, ill leave that at that, Billups has had 4 double doubles with points-assists, oh and outsider news- Lebron dropped 55 on the celtics and his team lost with a team score of 62 lol

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
As the Lakers I'm tempted to move either Chris Mihm or Luke Walton for either Reggie Evans, Tyrus Thomas, Brandan Wright or Hilton Armstrong. I also am looking to move Vujacic because he is upset and I cant get his shot to fall. Any suggestions.
I also just lost a game to the Mavericks in double OT 133-131, I had a shot to win it with Kobe in the end but he missed. It was by far the craziest game I've played yet. I was down by 10 the entire game until the final 3 minutes I tied it up, then in OT I was up 6 with a minute left but a Fisher missed FT and Dirk 3 did me inLA Angels

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
Right now I`m 13-7 with my Jazz. I had some great games - 2point win with Suns in home - after D-Will`s buzzerI also lost a game when I lead by 20 in HT, and I lost by 10 (with Kings). My last game was huge - 30 point win against Raptors - 28 steals during the game. Carrer best game by Deron - 46pts, 11asst, 7stls. Boozer strugling in last 2 games - did not average even 8ppg and 8rpg. I stll thinking about trade after he said that he wants to test FA after season. Maybe to Hawks for Josh Smith?
Last night I traded Harpring for M. Daniels from Pacers. Harpring is useless for me.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
Right now with the Knicks I am 4-2 I believe, my loses coming to Utah by 3 and Charlotte by 9. I had a chance to tie the game against Utah but Crawford had his shot blocked on the way up by AK47.
I traded Marbury, Duhon and Eddy Curry. I don't remember who I traded who for, but my team now looks like this.
PG- Robinson
SG- Crawford
SF- Chandler
PF- Lee
C- Randolph
6- Stephen Blake PG
7- PF Chris Wilcox
8- PF Raef LaFrentz
9- SF Gallinari
I need more guards but I have been running a 3 man rotation with Robinson, Blake, and Crawford. I like having big men because it fits my style of play. The team may not look like a lot on paper, but I can play really well with them and we are actually 3-0 in sim games.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
In my Jazz association, I had a thirteen game winning streak going before losing to the Thunder, 112-84 in probably the worst game I've ever played on here. I just couldn't hit anything. It was horrible. My next game was against the Rockets, who were half a game behind me in the West. It was back and fourth most of the game and I managed to pull out the victory by four points. D-Will had 24 points and 20 assists for his second twenty-twenty game of the year. And he twisted his ankle. That's like the sixth time this year he's gotten hurt. At least he can play through this one.
With 12 games left in the season, my record stands at 49-21 and I just clinched a playoff berth. I'm trying to reach sixty wins in the year, so I can only lose one game the rest of the year.
To lkasprzak: Nice to see somebody else using the Jazz. How is everybody performing for you? Trading Harpring for Daniels is a nice move. Are you using Morris Almond, Kosta Koufos or Fes? I had a tough time at the start of the year too getting Boozer started. I think I was trying too hard to score with him, Okur, AK, and D-Will. Once I trade away Okur and started to use Koufos more, Boozer's game really opened up and he's now averaging 23.1 PPG and 8.2 RPG for me.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
So I am currently 11-12 with my Mavs .. just like in real life I cant get any consistency.
I can win against bad teams but I am 5-11 vs 50+ teams.
The last two games have been pretty high scoring: a 144-136 OT win against the upsetting Thunder and a 137-99 loss against the Nuggets (imho one of the toughest teams to beat).
Some key players:
Dirk Nowitzki : 24.1 ppg / 9.8 rpg / 2.0 apg / 1.4 bpg /.55%FG / .307% 3pt
Josh Howard: 19.1 ppg / 5.2 rpg / 1.3 apg / .401%FG / .256%3pt
Jason Terry: 16.2 ppg / 1.6rpg / 2.7 apg / .368%fg / .343%3pt
Jason Kidd: 9.5ppg / 2.9rpg / 8.5 apg / 1.0 spg / .315%fg / .296%3pt
Stack (7.9ppg), Barea (5.3ppg, 3.0apg), Bass (3.5ppg, 4.7rpg), Damp (6.4rpg, 1.1bpg), Green (5.9ppg)
I think my main problem is keeping the fg% high and grabbing enough rebounds. I am 10-1 when I have a better FG than my opponent and 5-0 when I outrebound them (which means I only outrebounded my opponent 5 of 23 games .... )
I did one trade which I think was a bit off a rape.
DAL sends James Singleton to Houston
HOU sends Von Wafer and a 2009 1st rounder to Dallas
I just did not have enough playing time for Singleton. Terry was a bit angry after I put him as a sixth man but now he is satisfied. Only Dampier says he wants more minutes but I cannot give him more due his bad stamina.
I dont think I should pull a trade now but I need to get stronger on the boards. My guards are simply not grabbing enough rebounds.
Another problem is that I dont know who to develope. Green is such a bad defender I dont even know where to start improving his D. Shawne Williams does not have enough potential imho. Barea is too small to become a great player in this league. The others are too old. I think I need some more potential .. young players. But on the other hand DAL should be a contender ... its tough.
I am editing the prospects when I have time ... I already did the top 15 guys. Im enjoying this game right now.Comment

In my assocation I play one game and sim another, so I will play 41 games in Regular Season, and probably switch to HoF on playoffs, or maybe little earlier.
Harpring was useless for me - he didn`t play (only is sim games, like few minutes per game). I used Kosta few times, and also Almond (his best game - 7 points). I didn`t use Fes, but maybe I will.
My starting lineup:
PG-Deron Williams (8 games in a row with 20+ points)
SG-Ronnie Brewer
SF-CJ Miles (best game of season - 19 pts)
PF-Carlos Boozer (back on track with two 20+ pts and 10+ reb games)
C-Mehmet Okur
------
Kirilenko
Daniels
Korver
Kirilenko
Millsap
Koufos
Almond
------
Knight
Collins
Fesenko
Kirilenko is my sixth man. He play as SF, and later when Boozer is tired he play as PF or C (almost 30 minutes per game). I still thinking about trade Booz for Smith from Hawks, but I`m not sure. Smith is more like SF for me - I don`t know how he will perform against big and strong PFs.
U traded Okur for who??Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
I've been a Jazz fan as long as I can rememeber. As far back as I can remember, I've been cheering for them.
I've made a couple different trades. First, I traded Brevin Knight, Matt Harpring, and Jarron Collins for Andre Miller. Then I traded Memo Okur and Kyler Kover in a three-team deal that got me Marvin Williams, Acie Law, and Adam Morrison. I then traded Marvin Wililams and Andre Miller for Darko Milici.
My starting lineup looks like this:
PG- Deron Williams
SG- Ronnie Brewer
SF- Andrei Kirilenko
PF- Carlos Boozer
C- Kosta Koufos
And my bench is:
Paul Millsap
Ronne Price
Morris Almond
Darko Milicic
CJ Miles
Kyrylo Fesenko
Dee Brown
And I got Adam Morrison, Mickael Gelabale, and Acie Law on the reserves list. Sap is my sixth man, with Almond, Darko, and CJ all get 10 mintues plus off the bench. Brown and Price split time backing up D-Will.
I'm not too sure on that Boozer for Smith trade. It sounds good and I'd probably pull the trigger on it, just to see what happens.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
Just started a Grizzlies association. The Heat actually offered me Beasley for a couple of picks and Gasol. I said what the hell and got him. Signed BIG ZO after the gasol loss. Played 2 games so far. First game Beas dropped 39, next game 23, Rudy dropped 22,39 and Mayo 23, 25. Pretty much we are dominating. We beat the magic by 30. Completely shut out Howard. Conley is really pulling for us, he had 15 assists and 12 points last game. Mayo is Michael Jordan.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
Ok now 9 games into this season, Beasley is a freak. 3 players on my team are 1,2,3 in leagues current leading scorers. Part of this is because i spent over 2 hours mastering everyones shot. My team is now 9-0 with the hornets on us at 6-1.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
My two previous associations w/ the Sixers and Wizards died due to 'techincal' issues documented here in my blogs.
http://www.osatwork.com/JBH3/blog/
So I started my final association w/ the Phoenix Suns. I originally used them for a couple weeks upon release of this game, but due to not having a good slider set the games became too easy and not very fun.
I'm using the slider that produced great games w/ my Sixers and Wizards associations and am having a blast w/ Phoenix.
I started this association w/ the official 2K roster from December 9th, simmed to December 10th, made the J-Rich deal for me and the Antonio Daniels deal for the Wizards and simmed to Christmas day.
I played the Christmas Day Spurs match up, and won in brillant fashion - will post results of this one and the other games I've played w/in the week.
However, my record w/ the suns through simming all but one game after this win was sub .500 (13-15). I wanted to get deeper into the season so I decided to sim to March 1st, and play-out every game from that point on. The Suns schedule gets REALLY tough in March and April and playing the rest of these games would allow me to play my way into the playoffs.\
Going into my stretch run my record was 27-31 which was good for 11th in the West.
I've since played up to March 14th w/ my next matchup being a hm game vs OKC. During my LAST 7 games I've gone 5-2 to pull back to .500 @ 32-32.
There were two blow-out losses to the Lakers (to start the month), and a few games later in a road loss to Houston - Battier and Yao tore me apart.
I had some thrillers against Orlando and Miami on the road winning by two against the Magic and by 4 against the Heat. My best win came against Dallas. It was a push/pull game until late in the 4th w/ about 4 minutes left to play where I got out to a 13 point lead, and eventually won by 17.
Now I am 9th in the West, and Dallas is 8th and on an 8 game losing streak. I love the position I'm in right now, and that is fighting for a playoff spot - it makes the games that much more enjoyable.
I started to play the OKC game yesterday. I got to the 4th qtr, was down 85-84, but didn't get to finish it because the wife and I went out to a Toyota dealership to shop around for a new car. I paused it but my Xbox had shut down by the time I got back due to being idle- damn by settings.
My team looks like this:
PG - Nash
SG - J-Rich
SF - Barners
PF - Amare
C - Shaq
6th Man - Barbosa
RP - Hill
RP - Dudley
Prospect - Robin Lopez
Prospect - Goran Dragic
Benchwarmer - Louis Amundson
Benchwarmer - Eddie Jones
IR - Alando Tucker
I signed FA vet Eddie Jones as a Benchwarmer w/ a role of only seeing minutes when being hit by injuries. At one point I had Barbosa and Barnes injured w/ playable injuries, but ones which greatly reduced their attributes and rendered them ineffective. Signing Jones gave me another guard, and a veteran savvy one at that.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
Well, my quest for sixty wins has ended. I lost to the Suns twice in a row to give me 23 loses on the season and, well...it's just not possible to win sixty games with 23 loses. I was feeling pretty down about the game and the end of the season after dropping two in a row to the Suns...and then the Knicks came to town. Ha. What a game. For me. They kept it close in the first half but I just took over in the second half. Ended up winning 121-98. Deron Williams had 28 points and 20 assists, Ronnie Brewer had 20 points, AK had 15 points, and Carlos Boozer had 29 points and 21 rebounds. Amazing game by those four games. I'm now excited about finishing the season and getting into the playoffs.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
I am now 10-23 after a loss to the Pistons with the Kings. I was blown out by the Pistons and just couldnt stop AI. It ended up being closer due to garbage time. Final score was 98-86.
This was Kevin Martin's first game back from his ankle injury. He was out 9 game and I went 1-8. Salmons has been on fire and doing most of the scoring with Thompson providing a nice push of the bench.
Roster:
PG Beno Udrih
SG Kevin Martin
SF John Salmons
PF Spencer Hawes
C Brad Miller
6) Jason Thompson
7) Bobby Jackson
8) Mikki Moore
9) Francisco Garcia
10) Donte Greene
11) Bobby Brown
12) Shelden Williams
IR) Kenny Thomas
IR) Quincy DoubyComment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
Quick post about my current association progress.
Currently on my second year with Miami, simulated the first.
I ended up drafting Earl Clark with my first pick, and Stephan Curry with my second. Each in the first round from a couple trades.
Currently 3-3, recently losing to the 76'ers, I game I felt pretty confident going into.
Lineup:
PG: Chalmers (81) /Banks/Curry
SG: Wade (99) /Curry (76)
SF: Clark (80)
PF: Beasley (84)
C: Wallace (87)/ Kuvlov (69) (R)
Picked up Rasheed in Free Agency, was tempted to go after Bibby or Nash, but I like Chalmers.
Obviously a young team, my starting 5 of the average age of 25.
Wade is averaging about 28 ppg, and Beasley and Wallace following with about 20, Clark is averaging about 10 ppg.
Looking to try and make the playoffs this year, but will be a tough shot with the youth of the team. Hopefully Wade and Wallace can step up and carry the load. Which they've been doing.
Also, my team chemistry is horrible, 7%. Anyway I can get this up, just winning I'm guessing? Maybe some personal changes?Comment
