    Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

ok, Im 53 games into my second season with NYK. I had signed Nash in the offseason, Extended Lee and let go of Nate.

It was a REALLY slow start and as a result my teams chemistry bottomed.

I signed Sonny Weems a few games in to start at SG and provide some speed and athletism and he was beastly but made our defense even worse. After the slow starty i decided to make a few moves.

So, the despondent Jared Dudley was traded to ATL for Morris and a 2nd round rookie forward Corey Madison (6'6, think Carl Landry). I used madison in occasional games where he was nothing but pure HUSTLE, It was beautiful seeing the 68 ranked rookie ignite the team with offensive boards and steals.

but, with defense still being terrible(teams scoring 50%) I traded Eddy curry(who has a payer option next year)+Morris to Dallas(Who were really struggling too) for a benched dampier and '11 2nd round pick.

Dampier provided much need interior defense, he still comes in off the bench, but in our first game against the celtics yiou could really tell the difference.

Oh, i also signed James White as a bench warmer, plus nash needs someone to throw alleys to!

and, i re-introduced Jared Jeffries to the rotation(took weems out), Jeffries has been locking down the permiter scorers but has NO shot AT ALL! After these moves i noticed we were running a bit slow to d'antonis offense so i put tim thomas on IR and increased anthony robersons minutes, who has benen surpirsingly effective.

Long post i know, more to come soon.

      Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Its the Trade Deadline and I have decisions to make.
I realized the time was now to deal Westbrook. As GREAT as he was, he was only going to start demanding more minutes sooner than later and whats the point in having him backup Bayless?
So I shipped him back to his original team and got OKC's 1st rounder and Steve Blake.

I got Blake back because he could shoot and I THOUGHT he would accept a backup role. He is getting over 20 mpg and is about ready to whine and cry again.
I moved Webster into the starting lineup to boost his morale but can only offer him 16 mpg and put Batum back to the bench (his role was prospect so didn't shake his morale).

Well I have Rudy bitching about PT too (getting almost 24 mpg!)
I just can't keep these guys happy and it sucks because Portland is real life is very unselfish.

I am currently 5th in the West and only 1 game out of 1st in the NW and need to make a 2 for 1 to consolidate the talent so the guys can get the PT they want.

I'm thinking of doing a Blake (expiring), Webster, Thunder 1st for Gerald Wallace. I also want Danny Granger too (would throw in Thabeet and Charlotte 1st{current worst team in NBA}), but I think Granger is pretty unrealistic.

I need a small forward, anyone got any ideas?

Howard is probably the most realistic option, considering dallas continuall non-improvment and desire to shake things up. Just throw Outlaw, Webster and a first at them, they should bite.

yo dmoney I feel you on the morale. I mean i got andre miller, elton brand and dalembert crying the blues on me because younger guys have just outplayed them.

I am in my 1st season 27-13, I am making a late push for A.I. to make the all-star game. (His awards bio is really frail right now and need those developmental points next year.) Lou Williams has taken the starting role over and his morale and play have went thro the roof. I got him on a short leash though. He gets 9 points and around 8 helpers a game. I traded willie green away for marquis daniels. Daniels is something serious on the boards and he is a good def player for me. I play Spieghts as much as i can. He is near 10 and 6 right now.

I plan on pushing brand out the door along with dalembert and miller after the season but i want to make this playoff push with these guys and see how far we can go with this group.

My future is def. in Iggy, Williams, Spieghts and Young.

That's a lot for just Josh Howard.

              Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

I'm the Bucks in my Association, and I'm surprisingly 8-3. I've been fidgeting with the sliders, trying to get a nice pair so I have some realistic scores...so my averages aren't very realistic.

I'm trying to trade Richard Jefferson before the February deadline, possibly for an expiring contract. I have Joe Alexander who is dominating in his backup minutes, so I think he could come in and be my starting forward. Trading RJ gives me more cap space to use in the off-season. I also don't plan on bringing back Charlie Villanueva, hopefully putting myself in the Al Jefferson sweepstakes.

I'm definitely going to re-sign Ramon Sessions, no matter what it takes. He's my favorite player, and I've even got his rating higher (81) and he's showing so much potential.

Currently 6-5 with Utah Jazz.Started with a loss and then 5 straight wins to reach 5-1.Great start but 4 straight losses brought us to 5-5.I really have problems against a certain team:
The Cavs.omg!91-125 this time. This team has so many options offensively.Next time i'll try a 3-2 zone from the beginning of the game against them.I'm amazed how different each teams plays and adapts to the situations.
Also i like the way momentum is implemented in this game. The bad perfomance and the morale of the players really affects even my morale and the way i react in the game.
Last game against the Suns was a blast!Behind 62-47 at HT with Nash already 4/5 from three point range,Stoudemire a beast under the basket, bad D,low morale,Williams having a bad day with 3PF at HT.Start of 3rd Q,Williams 4PF!In comes Price, score 77-58 and i'm trying to concentrate on D.BIG GAME: Tied the score to 81 at the end of 3rd!Close game 4th Q 101-101,Williams 101-104 with 20sec to go.Foul or not now?Leave the suns the option to shoot the 3.Missed!2 FT by Williams, game ends 101-106.
                PC with IRPT Roster(great roster btw)/nogster's tendencies,playbooks.

                  Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

My 2010 offseason has been completed!
                  After an unsuccesfull year with my new look Knicks(nash, dampier and monroe included), I failed to even make the playoffs, and with no 1st rounder i entered the offseason with only five players under contract;

                  David Lee(overpayed last off-season)
                  Danillo Gallanari (stud)
                  Greg Monroe(draft)
                  Jared Jeffries(yes hes still here)
                  & Eric Dampier(traded for Curry+2nd)

The draft class was pretty weak especially past teh lottery, so i picked up a 6'6 SG Chester McLeod C+potential and a decent shot but nothing else.

During the FA I heavily targeted James, i offerd hima MAX contract with player option(4+1 years) and no trade clause which was 'eventually' accepted.
With LeBron signed i made a move to resign duhon who had been a stud and now rated 86, who signed for a 3year deal plus player option at MLE.
Next i signed Shaun Livingston to a 2 year 4mil deal to come of the bench.
Followed swiftly by Mikki Moore an athletic PF/C for less than a mil a year for two years with team option (hes 34 now though)!
To fill in the swingmen spot i added Rasual Butler who can shoot it, for 2+1(PO) at 3 mil.
                  ........
At this point i started to notice the Free agency had kinda dried up, so i was left with little option but to resign Q-Rich( at about 3 mil) and Nash(who didnt want back, but needed him to contend)

                  2010-2011 NEW YORK KNICKS
                  Duhon/Nash/livingston
                  Richardson/McLeod(r)
                  James/Gallinari/Butler
                  Lee/Monroe/Jeffries
                  Moore/Dampier

Im still kinda top heavy for a D'Antoni offence, so i'll be looking at some moves later in the season(milwalkee have put a disgruntled Redd on the trading block!)

                      Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Hey I'm gone jump in on this thang. Just got 2k9 on Sunday.....I know I know. It's late as hell but still. I bought Live 09 the day it came out. Nice game but I now see what the 2k heads are all about. I did the same thing last year. Bought Live 08 and then bought 2k8 late as hell. I ended just liking the 2k a lot more when it came down to most things. I am starting to realize that 2k does have great graphics as well.

Let me get back to the topic though.....In my association, I play with the Cavs (like I will always do no matter if they suck or dont). I'm a Bron fanatic. Im playing on Hall of Fame (7 minute quarters).I was averaging like 35 ppg, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds with him....but I couldn't really figure out how to win. This was even with Mo averaging 26 ppg and 5 assists a game. I won the first game cause Boston just sucked and then all the games after that I just got it handed to me. Then last night, I realized how to pull it out. You have to play hella defense. Not just guard one guy and then let the cpu do the rest. You have to switch and shee, deny passing lanes, take charges, etc.......and it still ends up being close at the end. I was hating it at first but I have learned to appreciate now cause its like the real thing. It's hard to guard these superstars in real life. You have to work. 3-3 now after starting 1-3....lol. Still, the cpu hits almost everything though....lol.

Already after six games, Terrance Kinsey wanted to explore the market....I was like seriously. Do you feel like that.....So I gave him what he wanted and traded him along with Darnell Jackson to the Rockets for Dikembe Mutumbo and Von Wafer. Just snatched Mutombo up for the inside defense when Zeek and Wallace need rest...which for Zeek is all the time

He mmoves around the court at will dodges in between traffic and can dunk on any play, im worried i might become quickly bored with him.

First, I'm going to play with the Cavs for life unless Bron leaves. I been runnin with them when he was rated a 65 on Live when he first entered the league. I been a fan every since he was a Junior in high school.

Second, you prolly runnin on rookie....please dont brag about stuff like that. It's just not a good look.

Third, I will.....let me see how I can put this nicely......whoop yo #$$ on the game. Just get Kobe he is better on the game and has a better team on the game. Please God please don't let him make the mistake of trying to play me.

Fourth, even if you could put up 60 a night with Bron or anybody else, doesn't mean that you will win. Look at AI in Philly for an example. When I play peeps, I just let them score 40 or whatever they want with Kobe. I just make sure nobody else gets involved.

Fifth, you know what you can do.....

I wasnt condemming anyone for using Cleveland or Lebron, I was simply saying that he is very easy to use. It didnt even cross my mind that this would come across as a brag.

Also you might want to reference my earlier posts, I was using one of the lowest rated teams in the game, ended with a loosing record, but it was a fun. What part of this suggests I'd be interested in cheese or kobe.

May i just add that i avoid online play and have never played against CAVs when i did play because any fool can win with them.

Finally, the post that you responded to had ABSOULTEY NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU OR YOUR POST!!! It was simply a continued update of my association process.

May i just add that i avoid online play and have never played against CAVs when i did play because any fool can win with them.

Finally, the post that you responded to had ABSOULTEY NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU OR YOUR POST!!! It was simply a continued update of my association process.

                              ...

                              OVER and out

Doesn't make sense....The Cavs are not the best team on the game. Not that it's that serious but you get the All-Star team and I will still hand it to you. Leave it at that. Turn your level of difficulty up. What level are you currently playing on anyways?

                                Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Here is my depth chart of my New Jersey Nets:
                                PG-Devin Harris/Keyon Dooling/Mardy Collins
                                SG-James Harden/Chris Douglas-Roberts
                                SF-Vince Carter/Jarvis Hayes
                                PF-Yi Jianlian/Ryan Anderson/Eduardo Najera
                                C-Brook Lopez/Deandre Jordan

I'm looking to move Najera because of his contract(trying to free up some space for free agency). Any thoughts? How about Jordan, should i keep him? I just started my second season(simmed the first) with my record at 2-1.

Should i make a trade or continue to work with these young players and hopefully make the playoffs?
