    Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

I was playing against the Heat was down 11 in the 4th, Mo scored 10 straight to bring me back. 2 pullup J's bookended by 2 treys. Love this game.

I traded E. Snow for Joe Smith a couple weeks ago, my only trade. Boy is he nasty from 17.

Alright guys I am still using the Mavericks and still 3-1. I like josh howard he is pretty fair on defense and slashing to the basket but I would rather have a shooter at the 3 for when dirk is double teamed. Who is someone I could trade him for that can shoot the 3 and it would still be fair to the cpu?

              Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

With Trades and everything finalized, I started a new Association with my beloved Knicks. Ended up 13-16 (29 game season) and 4th in the Division. Didn't make the playoffs. With the rise of David Lee and Nate Robinson, I'm determined to re-sign both of them. Instead of waiting for the Summer of 2010, I want to make a move NOW. Both Lebron (Made it to the Eastern Finals to fall short to the Magic who went on to in the Championship against the Lakers) and D-Wade are on good teams. It's too much of a gamble to wait for it. I'm targeting either Amare Stoudamire or Chris Bosh.

              Trade 1:
              - Suns get: Al Harrington - PF
              Larry Hughes - SG
              09 First Round
              10 First Round

              - Knicks get: Amare Stoudamire - PF

              OR

              Trade 2:
              - Raptors get: Al Harrington - PF
              Larry Hughes - SG
              09 First Round
              10 First Round

              - Knicks get: Chris Bosh - PF

OR ( Playing off of the Rockets Situation with T-Mac)

              Trade 3:

Raptors get: Tracy McGrady - SG
              Knicks 09 1st round

Rockets get: Al Harrington - PF
              Larry Hughes - SG
              Knicks 10 1st round

Knicks get: Chris Bosh - PF

Basically, I'm giving up two 1st round picks regardless. And have to choose between Amare or Bosh. Any suggestions? Which is the better player in game?

              OR!

I can trade Al Harrington, Larry Hughes and a 1st round pick for T-Mac, and keep him.

Played a chise w/ NO, finished season w/ best record in the league at 57-25. Chris Paul got MVP! Cool to hear crowd chant MVP when he was at the line late in season.

oh, to all u Lebron lovers, not that im not. but he tore acl early in season. Cavs finished with near worst record in the league.

Played 1st rd against Suns, down 2-1, came back to win 4gms to 2.

2nd rd: Rockets, beat them 4-1, and now its the Lakers in the western conf finals!

Havent started due to playing of MLB 09(best baseball of all time). if u have a ps3, buy MLB! 2k9 baseball ive heard is whack!

Eastern conf finals is the magic vs bucks(???)... ya u got me! oh well, i got my hands fulll with the lakers!

Quick question. I'm kind of new to 2k09. I used to play the other NBA game. Anyway some of my other posts had question/concerns about Ginobili for the Spurs(my team) and his morale. I have since thought maybe is because he's been hurt. Not just that but I sit him on IR when he's hurt, not out but hurt. So he can play but I wouldn't play him. My team is deep enough I thought it would be better for him and the team to rest while he's hurt. I have Mason so I can get by for a couple of weeks while Manu is hurt. Also before it got real bad his agent would say he was more upset with his role than his minutes. Well as we all know his role in real life and in my association is 6th man! So I don't know what I'm supposed to do. His rating when he's is healthy again will be 83 -10 lower. His agent says trade him now and his morale is heated. Can I salvage this relationship by playing more. I will not make him a starter because I would make Mason mad by sending him to the bench. Or trade Manu and get what I can for him now? Frustrated

His rating is too high to be sitting on the bench. Switching him to starter and let him start. His morale should go up if it isn't too low. The starter has to have around the same rating for the sixth man to accept it. Duhon is a 83 starter, Robinson is the 87 sixth man for me.

Oh I see. So in theory if R.Mason was more like a 88-90 it would be all good. Great info thank you. So it seems to work for you. I've looked around for trade value and it's hard to find right now. If I move Ginobili to the starting role maybe I can save him. I'm worried about mason because I love his 3 point shooting but anyway thanks.

^^^^ I might just start my association over. I kinda wanted to run a trial association but I started getting into the cool stuff in this game that I decided to stick with this association. Association is much better than dynasty in the other NBA game. Anyway now that I know a little more about the game and the association I might just start over and make Ginobili a starter. I've got at least one key acquisition I hope I can still pull off. It would appear making him a starter can't save him. R.Mason's morale decreases at first when I move him to 6th man but he seems not to mind after awhile. Also the new living roster has D.Gooden on the Spurs.

Okay guys, I decided to take a different route. I resigned both Lee and Robinson but only to trade away.

                            Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

I just recently finished the Regular Season in my New Jersey Nets Association. We finished with the best record in the Nba and were matched up with Miami for the first round.

We swept Miami 4-0 and the Pacers were next. They actually played real good, i won in 6 games. Then i had to face Boston. A 7 game series, but i prevailed and moved on to the Finals against the Blazers. It was a reunion for Vince Carter and the Nets(i traded him to the Blazers).

Game 6-I looked to finally win with us winnin 3-2. We led most of the way until the Blazers went on a huge run and brought the game into Overtime. Costly turnovers and missed shots made us lose the game by 3 with Devin Harris missing the 3 that would've tied the game. Game 7 was at Portland, but despite the home court advantage they had, i won the Nba Finals.

Next was the Offseason. I chose to re-sign Jarvis Hayes and Sean Williams as they were key players throughout the season. I let everyone else go so I could attempt to sign LeBron. But before Free Agency was the Draft. I only had my First Round Pick as it was the 30th pick overall. I chose to draft a point gaurd for some insurance. LeBron chose to re-sign with the Cavs. I chose to sign fairly young players and form a team mostly around Devin Harris and Brook Lopez. My team doesn't really look like a contender, but we can definitely compete with those top teams. This is my lineup:

                            PG Devin Harris
                            SG Chris Douglas-Roberts
                            SF Jarvis Hayes
                            PF Ryan Anderson
                            C Brook Lopez

                            6th: Keyon Dooling
                            7th: Sean Williams
                            8th: Von Wafer
                            9th: Dajuan Blair
                            10th: Sam Young
                            11th: Rookie Point Guard
                            12th: Mikki Moore

                            Reserve: Diawara

37-22 with the bobcats right now no trades just signed Derek Anderson as my backup to Raja Bell but he plays some point from time to time too.

25-43 with the Kings. I made all the real trades that the NBA made. Martin leads the team in scoring at 23.6 ppg.

Obviously I'm not making the playoffs but I have a very good shot at the lottery. It looks like I may have the 3rd most ping pong balls behin Oklahoma City and New Jersey. If I can't land Griffin or Rubio then I will be trading my first round pick for something. Any somewhat realistic suggestions?
