Re: Official NBA 2K9 Playbook Thread
This is a heads up notice:
An update is coming for the Suns, Wizards and Bobcats starting lineups and select plays due to the recent trades that went down today. The Grizzlies and Hornets starting lineups and plays will remain unchanged.

Re: Official NBA 2K9 Playbook Thread
ok i'm really confused here. if i want all these plays in my playbook, do I have to edit them? Cause I downloaded nogsters rosters, they don't have them. Can I download settings somewhere that have them? Or do I have to manually edit all of them? how do I get them to save?Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K9 Playbook Thread
Yes, the CPU run plays from the playbook it is set to use, but the problem is that the CPU only runs the SAME 2-3 plays for the entire game. The CPU does not use the entire playbook but randomly chooses 2-3 plays and runs them for the whole game so you will see a lot of repetition from the opposing CPU.
That's why I think if you are playing against the CPU, that you should switch the CPU's playbook to either "ALL PLAYS" or "Standard Playbook" (if you are playing in season/association mode)2018-2019 NBA Champions!Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K9 Playbook Thread
Okay, here's the long-awaited update to the lineup and plays for most teams that were involved in the trade that occured about a couple weeks ago. Up first are the updates to the starting lineups beginning with the Bobcats:
Bobcats
PG - Raymond Felton
SG - Raja Bell
SF - Gerald Wallace
PF - Boris Diaw
C - Emeka Okafor
Both Raja Bell and Boris Diaw are inserted into the starting lineup while Emeka Okafor slides to the 5 spot. Nazr Mohammed will now come off the bench as the backup 5-man.
Suns
PG - Steve Nash
SG - Jason Richardson
SF - Grant Hill
PF - Amare Stoudemire
C - Shaquille O'Neal
J-Rich replaces Raja Bell as the starting 2-guard and Grant Hill gets the slight nod over Matt Barnes. I figure Barnes is better suited to be a sparkplug coming off the bench along with Leandro Barbosa.
Wizards
PG - Mike James
SG - DeShawn Stevenson
SF - Caron Butler
PF - Antawn Jamison
C - Etan Thomas
Gilbert Arenas is still out so I went with Mike James as the starting point guard. However, there's nothing wrong with considering Juan Dixon over James since they're about evenly rated in all categories, including passing and outside shooting. Etan Thomas starts over JaVale McGee for me because he's a better rebounder on both ends of the floor than McGee. Brendan Haywood will be in the mix soon but right now he's out of the lineup and rotation nursing an injury like Arenas.
Now for the update to these teams' plays:
Bobcats
C-SG Flash (Triangle 5 set)
PG Combo (Motion 4 set)
PG-C Pick & Roll (1-4 High set)
SF Popout (Box set)
With Bell and Diaw both in the starting lineup for the Bobcats, this team's playbook is destined to have drastic changes. And these are the four plays which will alter the look of this team's playbook. They can replace "PF Decision," "PG-PF High Screen Roll," "PG Wing Iso," and "SG Wing Iso."
Suns
Zero In (Triangle 6 set)
Bullish Backcourt (Triangle 8 set)
These are two nice plays to call on with J-Rich now on board. They will replace "SF Popout" and "PG Loop."
Wizards
PG Dive & Curl (Box set)
A good play to call for Mike James which allows Antawn Jamison a postup opportunity and DeShawn Stevenson spotting up in the corner ready to take a 3-pointer off the catch if available. This play can replace "PF High Iso."
