I second this. There is very little script now. You have to d up otherwise you will get torched. Its almost like how the game played before the patch was released without all the crazy things by the cpu. It seems as though spacing is improved now for the user and the cpu works the ball and swings the ball very well now. To really get spacing I put def help at 100 for every team as well. Opens up drive and kick game. Also quickness at 0 for both. Only thing I touched, everything else is default. Now it feels like a fresh game again. Thanks alot

some little adjustment to the sliders:

USER / CPU

mid shot success 48/53 ( before 55)
layup success 48/48 ( before 51/58 too high IMO )
quickness 15/50 ( before 50/55 : now only user players with good first quick step can have advantage on opposite cpu defender).
fouling slider 60/60 ( tested on few matches: fouling range 15-25 FTA so much more realistic).

i have to raise my hands up mate cause you made a great discovery making pro level very challenging and satisfying despite aso stats are not so realistic..but it doesn't matter at all.

Has anyone notice if the teams run the offense through there star players more or if star players try to take over the game more?

Thanks to all of you who commented, I feel like I have made this game 5x more enjoyable, and yall agree, so thanks. I find it crazy that so many of the roster makers never tried this, since the game was released I have tried so many slider changes, downloaded rosters, ect and nothing ever fixed the majority of the problems. This easy fix has done a lot, and I ask for all of you to promote these changes on other websites, cause everybody is getting a better experience. Thanks once again

Hey Goon, I like what you did for 2k9 it plays much better but I tried some of your sliders on 2k8 and it plays much better I think 2k8 is just more polish I had a great game with the coaching tendecies........Lakers vs my Spurs I won by 3 points on all-star....

just an amazing stuff..blown out by Spurs 110-94 against my wizards..what could i not understand is the fact that i played on pro level....weird but real

BTW FG% SPURS 53% - 49% WIZARDS (maybe just a little bit too high..hope to find the right adjustment)..but the game was so smooth and realistic.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! You are a saint! You made NBA 2k9 fun! I spent the last couple of months trying different rosters, different sliders, restarting my Association over and over. Now I finally enjoy playing! And to think it's PRO and is actually challenging yet fun! I want to be your goon

Edit: And the players are actually playing to their attributes! DWade actually took over a game on my Knicks, David Lee isn't playing lockdown D on O'neal. Before I was fine having Lee at Center is was playing good defense. The FG % are alittle high though, but I'm enjoying the game so much that it doesnt bother me at all.

I play on hof, no sliders and the coaching sliders you suggested and have been having the best games I have had yet. My only question is. Would it be even better if I used your sliders as well?

I tried playing HOF and Superstar with his sliders, it doesn't work. The CPU ends up destroying you. His sliders are perfect for PRO though.

They don't destroy me but it is a challenge. I haven't used his sliders, just his coaching strategies.
