Question about these playlists...

I decided to follow the ideas of what everyone else is doing by making a playlist for each team. I will have a generic playlists that I will assign to each individual team that consists of about 20-30 songs, then I will have specific arena playlists that contains about 5 songs. If I take this method, how often will they play songs from the smaller playlist?

Second question, if I want the songs to play random, must I have to assign to shuffle on the 360 dashboard? And my last question is, how do u add songs to a playlist? I had a playlist with one song, but I can't figure out how to go back and add more songs to it.

thats a very good question that I dont have an answer too. I would just play it out and see.. I have avoided two playlists per event at all costs for this project because of just that. How does the game randomize and choose? is it between the two playlists alternating, or are they somehow pooled together? In the music library menu or on your pc, I have chosen to combine the two playlists in question and just create a new subset playlist that has both. But try it witha 30 song playlist and a 1 song playlist. if the 1 song is played more than once, or at all, i would be worried about the randomness.

the 2nd question, i have not touched anything in regards to shuffling or random play for the playlists via the music library menu and they all appear to play quite random. I know for one team that the first long song in the playlist is so and so, and that is NOT the first song to play at the first timeout.. In fact, its so random that you might get the same song twice.

we need chant defense! its overlapping the default chants which i like to hear...i was hoping that adding the music it will be like 50/50 regular ingame stuff plus the custom one...

strange. I was hearing the default stuff PLUS my custom sounds. It just seems at random.

hey what program did u use to get the right reverb for the songs to play?

the cavs play Enio Moricone - Ecstasy of gold before some games as well as let it rock but i cant get reverb for it to make it sound right

Anyone know if there's a way to convert the .wpl playlists to .m3u for all the mac users out there?

WMP9 for Mac is supposed to be able to open .wpl files, but it refuses to do so.

I went back and combined a 40+ song playlist and a 5 song playlist, and I did hear songs from the 5 song playlist (even on 2 min quarters because I was just testing it). They were completely random too, so I don't think "pre-shuffling" affects anything.

Maybe it depends on the arena, but I have yet to hear any pre-existing chants with my custom chants. I know someone said they hear both, but if u use custom chants, does it negate the pre-existing ones? Also, I am not hearing any custom music when the away team has the ball, only the defensive chants. What am I doing wrong?

ill get that done tonight for those that need m3u. it'll be a separate zip that ill give a link to.

you HAVE to have them in the same location that I saved them in, so there are issues with that..

Its just like the wpls that are being used. If its saved in a team folder, you cant move the playlist file to where the others are. so here, all of them will be saved in one folder called m3u that will reside in the MY PLAYLIST area of my playlists folder.

I dont know if that will work too well.. someone please get in contact with me via AOL aim within the next 45 minutes before I leave for a bball game. I want to send you one or two m3u files and you should download them from me, and place them where I have mine placed.

Wait, how are you doing that???

I just had a super long convo with RD (super helpful guy, by the way) and after I couldn't get it to work, he told me how to set everything up from scratch.

How are you getting the playlists to work on your mac???

(If I missed something simple and I'm just an idiot, I'm really sorry RD...)

yes but not his playlist was working with him to get the m3u files to work but they dont.

I have my own playlist that i made before last night release by RD. that works great.

I notice that menu tracks are included (cool) but I don't see a way to add tracks to the menu on 360. Could someone please inform me how to do that?

Maybe its m but just trying to play some of the themes like bobcats long on my windows media player, some of the songs in the list come up as invalid format for some reason

Would you happen to kno what's causing this?

If not ill use what it does recognize and burn it to a cd

Im using WMP 11 to stream to my 360 and dont have problems. I just tried that playlist also on my PC and all files played as usual.

how did you download and save the two folders that were in the zip? they need to be side by side. in my case they both reside in the My Music folder.

playlists are no fun. almost 100% of the time you can change the location of the mp3s INSIDE of that playlist, but moving the playlist away from where it was initially saved, you are messing things. for example one of my earlier download zips, i had moved all of my tipoff playlists into the same folder, but since they werent initially saved that way, they didnt pick up. althought the actual path of the mp3 files were accurate. its very tricky sharing playlists.
