I keep them as WPL and stream through WMP..


Via TOOLS-->OPTIONS-->LIBRARY, under Configure Sharin is where you can accept your XBOX 360.

Then you would need to set up which folders to have monitored.

Then on your XBOX 360, make sure the COMPUTER is connected to the xbox via one of the various connection tests.

If one would desire m3u's. I can create two sets of downloads, one with WPL, and one with m3u's which apparently work with Itunes and Tversity.

Ive just had zero stability or work related issues with WMP to jump onto anything else.

As far as playlist creation as above, I just multi click in the windows folder area and press ENTER and a new "list" starts playing in WMP. Then I click as in step 4 and SAVE PLAYLIST as in step 5... If one song wants to be added from another folder, I ALT TAB to that FOLDER, find the song(s) then DRAG them back onto the right side of the WMP playlist, then I can SAVE PLAYLIST as, and either OVERWRITE the playlist, or save a new one.

I dont really mess with any files being on the WMP library or the act of "searching for them via the WMP menu". If I know where a folder is and that file, just ALT TAB and drag and drop those into WMP at will. I rely solely on folders, and the act of dragging them into WMP.. Maybe that'll help some people

Spent another 5 hours doing some work. I sure hope this feature is still in the game .

Approaching 600.. calling it quits soon after that.

hopefully there arent any new events to worry about lol.

If anyone wants to help me test it out, PM me. I dont want any issues come game launch. all focus will be on having fun playing, not troubleshooting playlists

I guess the best way to go about it is playlistism through pc? I can't imagine burning all those songs and then going back and having to name them...would take forever. Had many songs set in 2k10 but got a new comp and had to redo them all. Still working with it though making every song its own play list through WMP.

Itunes is terrible .

Since many of my playlists have the same songs, I'm seeing duplicates in the library. I'm also having instances of the GENRE changing back to OTHER when songs are played through there.. I wasted about 5 hours saving every playlist as a m3u and trying to import them... THEN, many playlists were missing songs.

The only solution would be to have no playlists to start, and then import all the files into Itunes, then create new playlists through that... That's not gonna happen.

However, WMP is still chugging along nicely. I'm sticking with WPL format and calling it a day.

I use Media Monkey. You can mass rename files and add anything you want to the end or the beginning of titles. Pretty nice tool. (as well as make any playlist format)

Any 360 music streamers want to help me out and test this? With 133 playlists and ~580 tracks, I want to make sure their format and placement follows through to other computers and 360 systems for playback

Spent a couple hours fixing up the tags on the files. Simply put, right now, they are all set at filename= TITLE. I have no genre or album set or even artist. Bare bones files.

What would you all suggest? Is this enough or should I use album and genre for EVENT/TEAM placement? (A lot of the files are generic in nature and set for a team by me, so a tag association may not be ideal. Thats why I went with folders)

Does anyone have a decent organizing method?

Right now with the filename, its basically,
ORGAN14- generic- HOMEUP.mp3

Breakdown is basically, type of mp3 (organ in this case), team association (it's generic.. most of the time if its blank, it means generic), and lastly the event type (here it basically a in game event, HOME UP etc..).

Should that be divided away from the filename into genre and album?

Any thoughts?

Imported into Itunes or WMP, you would now get:
ORGAN14- generic- HOMEUP as the title, with nothing else.

i can help i use connect 360 from my mac to stream to my 360. Havent had any issues with it and 2k10.

Ruben I think going down the road of both is a better way to make it a little more user friendly. But I also think at the end of the day. People will take it anyway you put it lol.

I thought things through.

I'll just do a double release format.

One with 5 main folders, one of which has 30 team specific team folders inside.
-No Tags involved other than the title.
-130+ WPL playlists included


The other has every track in just one folder, but I'll use the genre, artist, and album tagging. No playlists. Just a bare bones file.

If there is no 2k11 audio insight given next week and we're coming up close to the release date, I'll just release it next friday. I want everyone to have time to set things up, burn cds etc...

Otherwise, If I can get some sort of confirmation with what is in 2k11, It can be released as soon as that occurs

Last final push for myself.

PM me all requests if you want your file in the main set. I'll check with the database and add it if its not there.

I want to get this thing out ASAP so people can see whats in there, and add in their own. Waiting until the last minute won't help anyone out.

Hey Ruben, are you using files from last year's release? If so, the Heat sometimes use the song that you used for the Hawk's tipoff when the announcer says "STANNDDD UP, AND MAKE SOME NOOOOOOIIIIIIISSSSSSEEEEEE, FOR YOUR, MIAMMMMIIIIIII, HEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTT!!" Lol sorry I got a lil excited. But yeah, you can use that in case 2K adds an event for the 4th quarter.
