the editor is needed to break down songs and get the parts that we really need. This also saves us space on our computers.

Audacity SoundForge is a pretty good and free. It should do everything you need. The only problem is that when you are loading up a song, it takes quite a bit of time which can be an annoyance.

1. Yes, they fade out, at least the Tip off song faded out. Actually... that's still unknown. I put a fade in the song so I'm not sure. It looked like it faded out in MC's video though, didn't it?

2. I can try later tonight... I have a feeling it's just a long sound event, maybe used during a time out?

Ahh, thats great. Yeah, I was thinking that maybe during full timeouts that long would be used. I can't think of anywhere else it would go as it seems there are events for everything else.

here's a audio editor program called AUDACITY..pretty easy, just cut and paste. Shorten the music, change the format, pretty easy on this program...if your intrested, here you go

iv used this program for both my fightnight rd4 & smackdown games.

So you can't set time indexes via the Xbox it has to be edited before you put it on?

... gonna be a lot of work.

use the audacity program...pretty fast, pretty simple. you will also save yourself tons of space on your machine. Lisen i have over 50 boxers on my fightnight rd4 games and all of them have their own entrance theme....

but yeah, customization can lead you into a whole different world and can lead to a addiction...lol....it takes time, but if your a stats freak, along with correct music and stuff, then prepare for a new way of gaming...lol, most my time spent playing fight night rd4 was basicly customization....but it all worth it when you see everything play out right.......

im gonna JUMP when i here FINAL COUNTDOWN in my nba 2k game for the first time ever

Thats the beauty of it though! I did the very same thing for NFL 2k5. Even though you edit time indexes there, i still trimmed my files down befor burning beacuse it saved space. I made individual stadium playlists for EACH TEAM and it was well worth it. Yeah, it took alot of time but it adds so much to the game, facing a different team each game and hearing new and unique sounds. It seems like we've got a few dedicated peeps here so if we put our heads together im sure we can come up with an "official OS stadium playlist" if you will that will make it easier for everyone to enjoy.

lol, btw customization leads you to having each game feel different almost every time. You wouldent belive the difference changing the music makes. Also now with the great commentary. Belive me, 2010 will go by fast this year with nba 2k10. 2k10 will feel like a new game all year round due to this new addition of custom...

but be carefull, it can be a addiction..lol, sometimes your gonna find yourself wanting EVERYTHING custom...youve been warned.

So the coolest thing in the game is not on PS3? That's cool. So us PS3ers will get similar games no matter where we are. Sad bc I love customizing EVERYTHING. I spent more time with Mlb The Show this year customizing everything than I did actually playing the game.

I haven't been to a Lakers/Clipper game since.. 3 years ago? So, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember they would play a brief clip of "Higher" by The Game when Kobe made a shot. Like what's already been said, "I Love LA" is played, I'd say during timeouts late in the game (3rd/4th quarter). With Clipper games, you probably want Clipper Darrell in there. Not sure if you're going to find clean audio files from him, but I know there's some on YT. Two chants you can typically hear from him is "LETS GO CLIPPERS LETS GO"(I think this chant is in the game, heard it in a Laker gameplay video) and a U-G-L-Y chant when the opposing team is shooting FTs (I realize that option isn't available, but you could probably put it when the opposing team has the ball).

I can't think of anything else right now, but I'll let you know if something pops up. I feel like I know more about the music they play in broadcasts rather than the music they play in the actual arenas.. but like I said, haven't been to the Staples Center for awhile =p

but has it been confirmed that PS3 wont have this option???...i havent heard anything yet...

the future, what songs are you working with? I took everything suggested and have all the mp3s now. I may add my own reverb and cut them all down to be about 2 minutes max. I'm at ~50 songs now.

is this something we want to collaborate on or just work as we please?

when its all said and done, I may have upwards of 230 songs ready to enter the game.. the vast majority to be played pregame, postgame, and the "long" situation which includes timeouts.

I can provide you with a list of the songs im working with now.
