Couldn't you just make it proportional? Like you have to do more good items and bad items to get/lose a letter grade if you play more than 5 minute quarters? Or it could be a cumulative score based on every quarter if you play longer than 5 minute quarters.

Like if you actually play 12 min quarters, you can get a B-, B+, C, A...and your final grade would be like a B+ or something. It would all average out.

I love the idea of just 5 minute quarters in the combine itself cuz I don't like playin the minutes I do with a bunch of PGs that can't lob the ball high enough to the 6'11" PF streaking to the goal.

But after that, I'll want to play longer quarters.

This is yet again a difference of balancing online and offline play.

This is more of an issue once your character has reached the NBA or playing in the D-League. Training/Summer camp games I could understand if they're 5 minute quarters, but when it gets down to the real action it becomes a problem.

As for the online games, I really have no clue. I honestly don't plan on using my character online a whole lot.

Whoa Whoa wait .. its 5 min qts on online my player gms only right, not offline. So training camp, summer league and the NBA gms are set at what ???

I sign too, and i HOPE TO GOD that 2k manage t patch in a workarouund.

i WILL NOT touch my player mode until this is fixed, i only play offline and i was so excited, but imagine coming into the nba as a rookie, you will be lucky to get a minute on the court each game in your first seasons

this has taken away 40% of my excitement for the game.

i reallyy hope the 2k devs do here our message.

maybe even a mod could sticky this topic, because surely everyone agrees, that 5 mins in my player in big league NBA games is a bit stupid.

how are you supposed to feel the excitement of trying to take your chance when you wiill only be on the floor for 30 seconds in your first season? (unless you maagiically get picked 1st)

very disappointing. does this mean if it was over 5 minutes then your player would get unrealistic stats?

Think about tho... u are on a NBA team get subbed out u never now the game could be over by the end of the simulation

Do they intend to mess up their biggest feature yearly now? First the online 5 on 5 mode last year and now this.

We're able to choose quarter length on every other mode, why cant we on MY PLAYER? Thats insane. How do they expect anyone to be interested past the first week after playing this mode when youre likely not even going to get to sniff the court until you PRACTICE enough or play online enough to get enough skill points for the coach to POSSIBLY put you in the game? And then when you get in the game you wont even play that much in a 20 minute game. Thats absolutely ridiculous.

Nobody is going to play a mode where the main goal(PLAY MINUTES ON AN NBA TEAM) isnt even obtainable in the early portion, and when you finally get minutes itll be in very short stints. No one is going to play a mode where youre going to be watching other players play most of the early part of the game. Whoever thought of this should be fired immediately and 2k should be put on blast AGAIN for this horrible error.

Isnt the whole point of a mode/game to PLAY it? MY PLAYER isnt even going to be PLAYING most of the time. What the **** is the point then? To WATCH gameplay? I can do that by selecting CPU VS CPU.
