Can you take a screen of the league leaders in 2018? I'm curious to see if generated rookies make the proper impact and if current players dip off statistically like they didn't in 2k9. Also, how about the spread of ratings? I remember Steve I think simming 10 years in 2k9 and players well into their 30s still had 90+ ratings.

Great info. I just wanted to know if the championship celebration is better the last year. I know you said you havent done it yet. Just wanted to let you know quite a few people are curious about this.

And thanks for taking the time to answer questions. Much appreciated!

I also heard them talking about Evans as if he just came into the league. Harlan said something along the lines of "And there's Tyreke Evans the great young player out of Memphis", Clark went on to say how well he's been coached etc etc

...only problem is he isn't really "young" anymore. I'm in 2018.

It looks like there may be a few bugs commentary wise down the road. The generated guys are acknowledged though, they just have to be doing something substantial for Kev & Clark to talk about. I'll keep playing and let you know.

Thanks, I was hoping the NBA Today feature might be driving the commentary in really unique ways all the way down the road, but hopefully this discussions gives them something to think about for ways to improve on it the next time around.

I'm guessing that the generated players aren't developing into superstars and the guys in the late 80s/early 90s are so much better than the new players that it's affecting the stats. Or some key part of their stats (Awareness probably) isn't increasing to the levels of existing players.

What's the highest generated player at each position?

              A dynamic commentary question

The team that wins the championship, is their any acknowledgement of it from Kellog and Harlan the next year during the season?

              Thanks

their production does drop however. I am in 2020 in my 2K9 association and have seen ton of stars see their production vanish. The OVRL seems to be put together all wrong. Their Physichal attributes drop rapidly as well as their shot tendencies (i think things like rebound ratings as well) forcing their numbers to go down just as their minutes and also their play when facing them ingame.
Unfortunately the high ovrl keeps them in the starting lineup anyway, but they definitely decline.

                2K9 that is.

But yeah, shot tendencies will need a major overhaul it seems. The lower rated player are averaging too few PPG (resulting in pretty low Team PPG) while the stars get a too high % of their teams shots and points.

But i am used to tinker with the shot tendency slider anyway, will do.

Good news on the Rookie Front, looking forward to it.

Another question : In 2K9 a lot of rookies had terrible shots assigned to them and i changed those. Now, you could do that without ever seeing their ratings in 2K9, now in 2K10 it seems that when you go to the menu where you can edit the rookies (inside association) you have a big, fat OVRL rating present. Is that the case ? Wouldn´t like ...

I am thinking that controlling all 30 Teams is the only way to roll. Here is a list of what I see as the benifits.

                    1. Be the GM for every team. The human mind of the fan is still way ahead of the AI.
                    2. Control team trading (make trades that make sense)
                    3. FA's...A lot of the players will decline their option for a longer term deal.
                    4. Control playing time and linupes. (sit injured players with nagging injuries)
                    5. Draft the right players for each team and make sure the rookies get playing time.

On another note...Rookies will need to have their shot tendencys raised through the roof inorder for them to ever be elite scorers.

I have been asking about the benefits of this and I agree with all your points. I actually tried to sim a few seasons with the 8 teams allowed in 2k9 to get a feel. Overall, I liked it but it can become an overwhelming task managing all the line-ups on a daily/weekly basis (injuries constantly occurring). That was just with eight teams so I could imagine with all 30. I did like controlling the draft...it made the draft take a lot longer and required me to think of the needs for each team (pick based on need or best available player).

I do have a few questions since I am considering this route for the association this year....

                      1) how will you determine what trades to make in the future years of your association?

                      2) What things will you allow the cpu to 'sim' and what things will you pay attention to...i.e. let cpu change lineup for minor injuries or will you manage all lineup changes when injuries occur?

                      3) off season free agency - how will you do this for all 30 teams? (again seems overwhelming) maybe you have a more efficient way of doing this?

I am sure there are more questions but I wanted to get an idea from people that plan to do this that are mainly association players like myself.

Re: The Association - What do you want to know?

Gots to give this thread the bump with another question.

I have seen all the automated features that are present in 2k10 Association.

                        1. lineups
                        2. resign staff
                        3. scout players
                        4. trades
                        5. draft

What I am wondering is this...

If you are controlling all 30 teams can you select some teams to be automated and some not?

Or is it that when you select an automated feature that it is universal for all teams?

                                2) What things will you allow the cpu to 'sim' and what things will you pay attention to...i.e. let cpu change lineup for minor injuries or will you manage all lineup changes when injuries occur?
Automate resigning of coaches, scouting, and for some teams I like the Bobcats I will let them fend for themselves.

                                3) off season free agency - how will you do this for all 30 teams? (again seems overwhelming) maybe you have a more efficient way of doing this? With the free agency I will do what is best for each team and player. Players like D-Wade, Amare, Bosh, and LBJ will all most likley turn down the player option in their contract. I will make sure that they do that and let the bidding begin. After the big free agents are signed I will turn the automate feature on for the rosters to be filled for teams to get the 10-14 players on the depth chart.

I am sure there are more questions but I wanted to get an idea from people that plan to do this that are mainly association players like myself.
Each team has options to be automated...So in reality you could control just one team and automate the rest.....By controlling all 30 or just a few with the automated feature I think its managble for us stat junkies.
