You know what, I played 2K9 so much that the herky jerky'ness really don't phase me. It's still there but it's not as bad as 2K9. The only problem I got is teleporting defense. I try to shake a dude and they get broke only teleport back in front of me.

herky jerky is definitly a problem for me. How do the controls and movement compare to NBA 2k8? Is it close. I loved 2K8 but hated 2K9. If it's anything like 2K8 in terms of smooth control and less herky jerky than I can live with that.

but anyways yeaaah I was one of them ppl makin those threads about how much 2k f'd up and all but once I got my custom music to work and took key zoom off, found some good sliders i love it

To each their own. 2k10 has good animation when that 1 animation is going, but when linked its beyond terrible.

I'd hardly call this "beyond terrible."

You have to learn the mechanics in the game again. Of course, it's not without issues but your description is a poor one, IMO.

Pared i stand by my statement, and thank you for posting those videos because it proved my point, besides the guy you were controlling look at what was going on with the rest of the players, animations were not linked well at all, and to me looked terrible and needs much much ironing out.

To each their own. 2k10 has good animation when that 1 animation is going, but when linked its beyond terrible. Passing is definitely going to be up to the user but for me it pisses me off why the highlighted guys change i am still holding the direction.

I know what you mean by animations. But imo its not nearly as bad as it was in 2k9.

I normally do icon passing now, because regular passing just never worked for me.

Damn - I'm having moments where I want to replay commentary lol. I'm playing Hornets at Blazers (me) and they're talking about Roy. During the conversation Peja sets up and hits a three. As I'm setting up down the court, they non-chalantly go into this conversation about players w/smooth jumpers, then start talking about Peja. This game is ridiculous

More impressions:

+ Using Pared's sliders. Very simple changes but making for great gameplay. Decreased the controller defensive assist to 25 and I'm in heaven (don't know why VC has it set up at default like it is)

+ Graphics continue to amaze me; fantastic job. Last year I had to turn the display setting on my Samsung to Dynamic to brighten the somewhat dull colors; these graphics pop and feel very 3D-ish. Arenas are extremely well done. Seems like I can even see stitching in the coaches suits lol

+ Presentation; really too much to list. Really like the Pressbook at the end of games; another totally underrated feature

+ Changes to the post game - awesome

+ Usually don't pay attention to sports game soundtracks but I have to say... this one is really good. Last night I found myself going through the playlist just listening to music.

+++ All this and I haven't even touched My Player, Association, D-League games, or anything in Blacktop

I usually do normal passing when I'm running a play. But question has anyone notice that the computer plays zone? I was like wow.. thats a little nice addition. I really like how at the end of quarters when I played the Lakers Kobe would get the ball and iso up at the top of the key. And if anyone knows the real-life scouting report on Kobe in this situation. He like to get to those eblow spots at the top of the key and pull up for jumpers.

I actually believe Lawless though. Last year in 2k9 they had an animation after a buzzer beater by Kobe or Carmelo. I saw Melo throw his headband into the crowd after losting. And another time I saw Kobe throw his elbow pad. They were pissed off. But no one didn't believe me for months.... Until someone sat there and played situation over and over and over again.

I think so. When you start up an association it will be an option that says something like "Play D-League Games"

If you pick yes, they will pop up on the schedule like normal games

Im having so much fun playing this game, just played a game using the Bulls and went up against the Blazers with 9 min. qtrs on allstar.

Im so happy we have a fatigue bar now, really makes you think about when to use it or not and quicker releases make for better flow of the game i find, no more getting blocked 18ft out because a release takes forever. If 2k can just continue to build on this game, the years to come will be great. ahh I love playing sim basketball.

I just been playing quick games like crazy. I just want to see what is cheesy (canned animations). And what is good old basketball. I probably won't get into those things until around thanksgiving time.

Hey question....I was just looking at the leader board for my player. And why do they still have those 99 rated players? Thought they were getting a ban and deleted.

I will agree I think its a great game. But for some reason. I'm not feeling how quick all the releases are. So releases are just too quick. But thats just my opinion.
