just picked this up, but got a quick question: is there any way to turn off the shot bars that appear near every player? i hope so, because i hate all that clutter on the screen. IMO, it mars the whole experience.

I'm really upset about the jaggies on PS3. Can anyone confirm it looks better on 360? I've tried 720p and 1080p and see little-to-no difference.

Yeah that bothers me too, the replay closeups are fine, but when playing there are many jaggies around the players.

I have a question...When a team drafts you...Is it very important to go to their training camp? Or can I go to the other ones?

I asked this question a few times but never recieved a definitive answer. I also made a thread asking this question

I played the hell out of NBA 2K8. Enjoyed that game so much. It was one of the best BBall game I've played probably the best since Live 95.

NBA 2K9 was a letdown for me. I hated the collisions in the game that bounces me out of position. This happens way too often. I am a die-hard sports gamer from Madden to NCAA Football to College Hoops to March Madness you name it I've played it but NBA 2K9 was one of the least enjoybale sports game I've played outside of NBA Live last gen and March Madness last gen. I only only played 2K9 for one week and never returned simply due to this.

In 2K9 I feel that I am forced into that herky jerky collision way too often. When I am on a fast break or when I am on a 2 on 1 fast break with a good angle for an easy basket. Instead of getting an easy 2 I feel that I am forced into a defender that leads to that herky jerky collision that results in a block, foul or sometimes a no call. Is 2K10 also plagued by this?

This will decide if I choose Live 10 or 2K10. I played Live 10 the demo and the collision isn't annoying as NBA 2K9.

Is anyone seeing a consistent number of kick ball violations called? I ask because I've yet to see this violation get called and I've seen numerous balls hitting players legs and shoes on bad bounce passes.

Has anyone seen the strip from behind on a fast break. I saw this too for the first time last night. It seems like they made the window very small. To come from behind and steal.

Is anyone seeing a consistent number of kick ball violations called? I ask because I've yet to see this violation get called and I've seen numerous balls hitting players legs and shoes on bad bounce passes.

I've had it called on me once when I tried to steal a bounce pass and it bounced off of my foot.

Yea I'm done with alley oop conversations. I won't be throwing any of those. Sad I have to say. I can't believe that many people were complain that we now have Ray Allen catching alleys like LeBron and Michael Finely catching 360 alley oop lay ups.....

Graphics took a major step forward, screens do not show you the beauty of how this game looks while playing(definately impressed with the presentation.

What system are you playing on? PS3 looks like garbage on my hdtv.

I don't have these jaggies you guys are talking about. I have it on the PS3 and it looks pretty damn good. How do you have your HDTV set up i.e. sharpness for games should be around 9 to 12 Contrast should be around 80 to 85, those are the biggies with color being around 55 and brightness for PS3 should be 55 to 60.

The post game, I'm finally getting around to practicing and doing some of those moves and they are pretty damn good.

Man it keeps getting worse. Why is it that the offense is much faster then the defense? Why is it that the team mate AI is NO HELP AT ALL. They are just there. They watch easy passes go into the lane like its nothing.

What's up with the bulging eyes during close ups? The skin textures are the best I've seen.

Like Kanye says in his song "It's amazing, so amazing.." This game is unbelievable. Out of the box, some problems, but still greatly improved from last year, just in player control alone (didn't play 2K9 after 2 weeks cuz of the awful player control). All the animations, people can call it "fluff" or window dressing or whatever, but the amount and quality of these animations makes the game very realistic, sim and life-like...after some slider tweaks.

I used Pared's shooting and foul sliders/settings, knocked the alley oop slider down to 25, Help D down a bit and am about to fiddle with the Plays Passing Lanes slider to cut down on the lead passing and oops and I think this game is going to be the GOAT. It's already the best basketball game since 2K7. After a couple more tweaks, it's over.

There's so much to this game, I don't see how you can get bored. The framerate issue isn't that big a deal to me, to be honest. It does happen every now and then but it happens in my CHOOPS 2K8 copy too and I got past it. Plus I use the Default cam and don't seem to have that many hiccups.

Honestly, I've played both games and I was very ready to switch to Live this year, especially after how disappointed I was with 2K9. After renting both, I'm going all in with 2K10. Not to say Live isn't a good game. It is. But it's missing that last level of polish and bball fundamentals this game has had since 2K7. I've had four step travels not called in Live, a ton of warping and sliding and PG's hang on to the ball for most of the shot clock, drop back and fire a 3ball from almost half-court lol. Even that, I can live with. Because it does alot well. But where I see Live in the 7.5-8.0 range, 2K10 is easily in 8.5-9.0 territory and with some minor tweaking, on the verge of 9.5-10.0. Serious. It's that good.

I don't normally jump out of my seat playing video games but I have a few times with this game and it's not with anything that's overdone or overused or over-the-top..it's because something happened in my game that I've seen happen during an NBA game that also makes me jump out of my chair. The best description I can give this game is one that GMercy used when we were talking about this game last night on XBL: Authentic NBA. Whereas Live is a good videogame representation of the NBA, 2K10 is an awesome SIMULATION of the NBA.

BB, all TV are different. I see many of these Jaggies too, they are there. Not for every part of the game, I see then mainly around the players when in motion. It's not our sets, all my other games look great, this game has jaggies.
