I'm feeling you on this one, I am craving some PS3 info on this game. I hope they are not hiding something.

This is the BEST NBA 2K game ever. Trust me, it's amazing. Movement, weight to the players, commentary, features, etc. This is a SIM, and some people might have issues with how good it really is.

Presentation--Commentary, Visuals, and Menus are all the best they've ever been.

Gameplay-Spacing is better, key zoom off is a MUST, Framerate problem NEEDS PATCH, A.I. is better than ever as usual, you must play sim ball here. Currently on SS, no slider tweaks, 8min, scores are okay (10min prbly best), not enough foul calls, walk the dog NEEDS PATCH,

My player mode-NEEDS PATCH, in order to fix the time problem, currently its only available to those who had the DC

Controls-Time for a change (ISO MOVES) bottom line. Sure they aren't super easy, but they are overly complicated, I find that pulling off minor moves in flow of movement works best, This old formula is causing very static happenings and responsiveness.

The post game-Great, vastly improved, but could def have been better via more animations.

Ratings- Cool with me, it's about time the pros and the joes are different.
HOF needs to actually be difficult instead of, lets just let the A.I. hit every shot regardless of who is shooting

FG%- Still a bit too high, needs slider tweaking out of the box for that, but not much.

FT'S- Either you love em or hate em..

            That's my 2cents.

Re: Official NBA 2k10 Impressions Thread

2k10 is a great step forward for the basketball genre hands down.

1st off after playing this game for two whole days im seeing that this game is great and a big step from 2k9. The gameplay always step up to the plate of being #1. I will be writting a full review on this game so keep checking my blog.

                    *Gameplay*

Gameplay has been what 2k been known for. Tons of new animation.

                    * Did a spin/hop step with S. Curry and spun right into the D-Fense and ended up traveling. It was crazy.

                    * Defense AI actually helps. This is a big plus since the last couple of 2k's been very O-fense type of game.

I been playing on All-star and my games have seem like it was on HOF...

Teams play there style of play and players play as they real life counterparts.

                    Presentations:

                    Soundtrack is great.

                    * Arena Music is back

*Commentary is one of the best. You hear some of the old,but the biggest thing is they have full conversations which is great when u score they will update u on what just happen and get back to the conversation.

                    *Controls*

Controls are just the same as last year. Instead of Lock-On D they now call it Intense-D. One thing that I dont like is that they remove the slide D-fense from the Right Stick. Now you can only use hands up. But even without that D-fense is better in this game.

I can't wait to see what else is in this game. Im loving it so far.

PS: Also the NBA Today feature is amazing and will keep you informed during the season.

Re: Official NBA 2k10 Impressions Thread

So if we turn off defensive assist, Gasol won't leave his man wide open? This was the biggest flaw I saw, I was playing good defense, and they went to "help out for no reason" .. leaving a man open either for a 3 or inside play.

So this turns that off???? It can help the game tremendously..

I NEED side VIEW CAM it's UNplayable!

Re: Official NBA 2k10 Impressions Thread

For my impression and hopefully someone can help me with my issues of the game like slider tweaking or something. I am a casual gamer and I play the game whatever the defense throws at me rather than spam the paint with dunks.

My gripes as a casual gamer...
                          - Everytime the AI throws the ball at thier post player, my SF or SG or PG would go behind my PF or C (depends on whoever is holding the ball either the PF or C AI) for help defense. The problem is that when the AI post player pass the ball back to the perimeter, it leaves the AI open than the ocean to take the shot. For example, I am playing against IND (my team is BOS) and Josh Roberts is the post player covered by KG. Once Josh Roberts recieves the ball in the low post, PP will go behind KG for some reason like KG needs help defending this sloth. I left the defensive playcalling to auto, so that might be the problem.

                          - Fastbreaks could really need some improve coding. Player AI in my team still stops in the middle of the court instead of going all the way. Rondo stole a ball and run straight to the rim. On my way, I saw Rasheed Wallace following from behind and I figured I will pass it to him since it is a 2 in 1 fastbreak. Lo and behold, Wallace stops on the 3 point line arc.

                          - Now about this defensive LT thing. I hated that now you have a limit of how many times you could use it. There is this yellow bar that decrease the more you hold the LT thing. I have heard it affect your stamina or something.

                          - This autosaving in the Association should have the option to be turned off. I hated the idea that everytime I edit player/s, the game will go to autosaving to each and everyone of them. And yes I already turned off the autosaving feature. But it is still active in the Association.

The good part of the game...

                          -The spacing is good.
                          - The trading spree is now gone. However, 2K need to add logic in the trade system. Just today I recieve an offer from SAC offering me Kevin Martin and Nocioni for Ray Allen. I know our current economy is hard for NBA teams, but I don't think teams saving money is an official feature of this game.

                          - The atmosphere is better including the lights.

So far this are my impressions of the game.

How many minutes did you play? I like the FG% and the 3pt% but there weren't enough free throws, or maybe it's because you shot more jumpers than penetrating... But anyway, it looks better.

I played 8 minute quarters and I was running plays, not penetrating much, but regardless, not many fouls called.....

Bad news though, I played my first online game and it's horrible...Cannot believe the lag when this FEW people are online...Cannot imagine what online will be like come the 6th
