Re: People with frame rate issues

Haven't had much framerate trouble. Mostly right after timeouts but it stops when the lights stop spinning. Some when the camera spins around (I'm using 2k view). That smooths out after about a second though. Haven't had any other troubles yet.

It's the worst in the D-league arena in Maine. It's was unberable. Give that one a try. I stumbled upon this while playing with my player. Check that one out.
NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.

doesn't this delete all the patches you've downloaded for games meaning you'll have to download them again?

Whatever you are doing Eddie1967 keep doing it. It's very frustrating trying to figure this one out. I've tried all methods even lowering zoom and still problems. Lowering the action is a problem for me even if it did work since I like to be up close to the action and less strain on the eyes. Still glad you have no issues which is a good thing. Peace!!!!

Re: People with frame rate issues

It is real crazy we have to come up with schemes to make a game playable that we spent our money on!!! Geeezzzzz

I am sure these issues were discovered in testing the game before release. Why not release at a later date? We have to wait to play the game anyway the way it is now.

Sad day in 2K sports IMHO.

Re: People with frame rate issues

I guess I'm one of the lucky few.

I popped in the game, downloaded the patch, exited to the dashboard and installed the game to the HD. I then booted back up, turned off all in-game tickers and (when starting a new game) I turn off zoom in on paint. I played four games last night (in Hou, MIL, MIN, LAL) and it's run smooth.

Is there no way to set the camera settings through the main hub of the game instead of having to change it at the beginning of each game? I couldn't find it anywhere.

                    Loving the game!

I've had some slowdown (360) but have not tried some of the fixes. I'll try the hard drive installation and turning off the ticker.

Re: People with frame rate issues

The sick thing is the 2k developers played this before they released.

I noticed this really smooth moment where there was absolutely no lag or anything. It was Dwight Howards face while he was on the freethrow line...It was creepy because it looked so real and smooth. I think that was running on 120 FPS or something because it looked amazing.

After that moment I couldnt help to imagine how cool this game would be without framerate issues. When it's not lagging it's a beautiful game. But the lag really ruins the experience. I almost feel as if Xbox 360 needs to get new video cards haha. This is a sign of 2k not being held accountable...As well as a sign that the Xbox is gettin out of date. Because I remember a few laggy moments in Gears of War which so happens to be one of the best graphical games on the 360. Anyone with a great computer will not have these issues.

Re: People with frame rate issues

The framerate issues are making the offline game feel like I'm playing ONLINE. This is really unacceptable. I'll now join the hordes of unsatisfied customers who feel as if they've paid 2K $60 or $100 to be their beta testers. How can something like this get released? I could understand some of the other in-game issues, but framerate issues just seem so very basic. Really disappointing. Also, I tried Pared's fix with the camera to no avail. The framerate issues seem to be getting progressively worse whether or not I use key zoom or not. Also, I have NO custom sounds.

This thing is a total and complete mess!

As I am frustrated I am also optimistic. I can STILL find a way to enjoy this. The only reason why I am not looking to return this is because the patch...Plain and simple. I agree that they should not of released a uncomplete game...But the fact is this game is gonna be miles ahead of Live when the patch comes out.

                            1. Fix framerate (Which was done last year)
                            2. Fix when PG goes backcourt violations
                            3. Fix the dang 2k servers for once

These 3 are all fixable via patch. If they could do this...This game would deserve a 10/10 IMO

I agree that 1 and 3 are the main priorities, if they fixed those two I would be all-in again. So far though, I can't stand the idea of waiting for a patch like I did last year. It's just ridiculous.

i posted over on the 2k forums and one of the mods acknowledged what i posted at least. i think his response helps shed some light into what's going on:

"this is not a real workaround. I also think it is a processing issue. I think te addition of the several presentation elements that get stored into the cache and everything else going on, is causing the game to stall."

if this is the case, will clearing the cache not work unless you constantly do it because presentation elements are going to be stored constantly?
