I understand that, but if you hold the L-Trigger while dribbling forward, it doesn't make you do crossovers. It actually does nothing, so why not make it dribble between your legs or protect the ball like the old games?

It works fine for me. If i have a big gaurd or whoever and i want to start backin down the defender i just keep L2 held and the left stick stationary and 95% of the time my man starts backin him down.

I see that I'm not the only person that hates this auto-post bs they've added...its ridiculous trying to post and constantly spinning in circles and getting called for 3 seconds. They can do better.

Isn't there like a button I can press to break the animation? There's gotta be. Simply moving away just makes me have to wait until the animation is finished to move. I must be doin somethin wrong, because it doesn't happen alot.

Just a very dumb idea what's the use of LT button now I have no idea, I don't use it for anything so why did they remove it, rule of thumb nothing automated is ever good in a sports game, you need to feel like you are the one in control to get the best experience.

I would like to see the staff meting where they come up with this idea, I really would

Post game was the best in 2k8 imo why did they fiddle with it so much.

How in the world did this feature get approved?

It renders so many players and play styles simply ineffective now. It's absolutely spoiling an otherwise greatly enjoyable and well designed game.
Lol, people get enjoyment from their game in different ways. Why they enjoy one thing over another is not really important. --trobinson97

It is KINDA still in there if you SLOWLY SOFTLY graze LT when you have the ball. But I need the real button back

It is sometimes, but its very flaky. I had Dirk just above the free throw line and wanted to post and tried gently tapping the LT. I kept trying to do it and the animation drove me out to the corner.

I'm not sure why this wasn't one of the top issues sent to that 2K Ron guy to organise a patch for

You did pay for online roster updates. Do you know why? Thats all Madden really is from year to year, a roster update.

yeah this feature is horrible. I never try to execute a move, I never have time, it's either 3 sec or travel. They should atleast have an off/on or sliders for this action.

i lol @ all of you

if they didn't put in autopost, you complain about players standing upright in the lane and dribbling, which looks terrible and is unrealistic.

you can still dribble THROUGH the lane without autoposting, you just can't dribble into the lane and stand there magically keeping your dribble with no cover on the ball.

Huh? I do not care that we automatically post up. The problem is that WE cannot chose to post up WHEN and WHERE we want to. As a result, say goodbye to the highpost game from (think Dirk) or a point guard backing his man down.

                              It's foolish

i constantly pull post fadeaways with dirk from the elbow, take your finger off right trigger, and lightly lean the stick in. posting when and where you want is easy.

but i can sympathize with your complaints about animations. 2k9 made me angry due to horrible sets of animations that felt like you didn't have control. i feel like 2k (mostly) remedied that this year, but i guess we disagree about autopost. i can admit it could be better, and i think it will be next year (as we've seen lock on D evolve)
