I have had no problem making it but then again the one thing I really had going for me is I was always playing at positions where the team wasn't very strong. The best player I had to deal with was antwan jamison and he is not exactly a spring chicken and their weakness at center probably helped me as well.

With houston scola and landry are decent 4s but nothing great plus me being able to back up yao helped.

With new orleans I was playing the 3 and james posey was their starter and he is decent but old. His highest rated backup was bruce bowen and well, same story there. Peja is pretty low rated and isn't really used even though he can be pretty good with his shooting ratings.

My guy is a 6'6 athletic sg and playing for the 76ers the bigs really try to box out our bigs so it leaves me alot of offense boards and put backs. so i raised my inside shot to 80 and off rebounds to 60 and i avg 4-5 off boards a game..also strength is good to i finish alot of and 1's.

I got called up after the 7th game to the Bulls. I am glad I did however I still do not know why it took so long considering how well I was playing this time around.

i am a 6'5 pass first pg. i started off in the knicks summer circuit. if i was an nba player i would want to be a knick, so i was very happy. however, i didn't make the team despite putting up nice numbers. so i think i'm gonna start over in hopes of making the knicks somehow.

i really do like this my player mode. i didn't think i would. but not being able to change the quarter length hurts it and i hope will be patched

If you go to another team for training camp it will create the clone bug. What you have to do is when you get to the point where you can select which training camp to go to exit the game and start the game over and load your my player career. It will put you on the team you started out with and you won't have a clone. If you are playing the DC you will be drafted in the same spot again so you will go to the knicks again. If you do not have the DC then your best bet is to keep creating players and trying until it hits the knicks again. You have a 1 in 30 chance each time. If you have a save from before you didn't make camp however you can just start from there.

Why can't they just properly test this **** before it gets released? I love 2k10 and especially My Player but you have to wonder what kind of people they have working on quality control.....

It's not like these would be tiny hidden glitches, they are a problem for nearly every person who plays the game. How could they not pick something like that up before releasing the game?

Sorry, end of rant and back OT.

My centre has an annoying habit of airballing close shots occasionally (it only happens on one type of animation but i'm generally not having trouble scoring with hooks, layups and dunks etc). I'm not sure if this is caused by low layup ratings (currently at 60), close shot or under the basket ratings. I'm trying to raise them all but i want to spend my points raising stamina and consistency most importantly but would like to weed this problem out first if possible. Any idea's?

From reading your description it sounds like it could be your low shot rating if he is shooting it.

                  Re: My Player Progression Strategy

I'm 30+ games into this mode and rated 62.

I started with the Knicks as they made space for me on their roster by cutting Gallinari. I ended up playing 11 games until I got my first NBA start. After 22 games into the NBA season, they demoted me because I was in a slump.

I'm now in their NBDL affiliate the Springfield Armor.

                  =(

It depends on which animation it is, if it is a move off of a post move then try bumping the low post shot and low post offense ratings. If it is not off of a post move look at inside shot or layup if it is more of a layup type shot. Also, if it is a contested shot then look at shoot in traffic and strength and even possibly vertical if you think getting higher above the defender will help by making you less contested.

Also loving My Player mode, I got drafted by the Timberwolves and haven't been sent down to DL league yet. Matter of fact im starting. My boy Wayne Ellington is pretty sick right now cause I can't remember the last time he played. I am wanting to leave the Timberwolves though, will I have to wait till the end of the season to do this? My Player right now is rated 58, the Timberwolves are 8-1

I was drafted by the Pistons and made it through training camp. The first game I came off the bench and then inexplicably I started the next two games!

There was no warning, message from Stephen A err the 2k Insider or anything that I was going to start but regardless, I played fairly poorly in my second start I was demoted back to the bench again.

I'm averaging a solid 21-25 mpg (9 minute quarters) right now so I can't really complain though... I think I've pretty much solidified my spot as the 1st big off the bench behind Ben Wallace and Chris Wilcox. Jason Maxiell is my only competition (Kwame was cut in training camp and the other bigs, Ely, Maceo Baston are trash).

Sometimes I freak out though because I'm asked to play small forward and my guy (6'10'' perimeter PF) is fairly unathletic so the thought of keeping up with guys like Gerald Wallace, Kevin Durant, and Andre Iguodala makes me cringe...

Thanks man. I think it must be inside shot because when i am doing the shooting drill my player will regularly do this lame looking one handed shot that airballs every time when i'm attempting close shots. I'm not shooting out of the post or anything so it must be close shot i think. Kinda weird because it's already at 60 i think so surely that should be high enough not to airball 1 or of every 5 shots from 3 feet away from the basket??

Yes, you have to go through the season to choose another team. Only possible alternative I can think of is play like sh*t, get sent down to the dl, and hope some other team offers you a 10 day contract but I don't know if you can get an offer from a different team like that or not.

They probably don't tell you if they decide to keep you on for the rest of the season. Don't know for sure, but look at the bright side. You are starting.
