It would probably be a good idea to have stat sheets for draft picks so we can see their stats.Comment

TRADING INJURED PLAYERS. One of the things that irks me the most, especially around deadline time. Injured players get traded all the time in real life. The only thing they have to do is pass the physical.[NYK|DAL|VT]

What needs to be redone are the Reward Points.
I.E. if you are able to win 25 games in a row (nearly impossible) you should get more points than 20!
They should add Reward Points for Sixth Man!Machine is no joke. Clutch like Kobe. I tell Kobe, but Kobe ignore!Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 - Let's talk about Association improvements
1.) I love playing the association mode this year. There is still the occasional wtf moment, and little gameplay issues will annoy me at times but for the most part it's been the most fun i've ever had with this mode in any sports game since madden and ncaa back in 01-02. NBA.com was a great feature, even if it just offered title and no articles.
2.) For the most part the numbers are ok. If i had one complaint the leading scorers are a little low every season (i haven't taken into account pace of each team compared to real life) and the rebounds can be a little high. Another thing that annoys me is that Wade and Lebron are always in the top 3-5 in blocks.
3.) I like the idea of computer generated stats, it would give you a chance to evaluate players based on production vs their physical tools. Also, a little more variety in how players look would be nice.
4.) Player progression works pretty well. Player regression isn't as good. Perhaps it's how certain ratings outweigh others but players maintain their high ratings forever. At least players should decline athletically as they get older.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 - Let's talk about Association improvements
i pray to the heavens that the devs are following this thread and looking to implememnt all of it!
minus the GIANT fonts, this thread has echoed my every thought as far as improving association mode.
at this point, its just people reitteratiing what has already been said.
on the Madden forums, some cat lobbied (with great support) until they got the broadcast cam put in the game.... we should do the same with association enhancements.
some of these things have been requested for years and seem fairly easy to implement... so why cant they get added?!?!?
great posts guys!

As far as the Draft goes, their needs to be a more immersed element.
Here are some examples of what NFL 2K5 did.

Re: NBA 2K11 - Let's talk about Association improvements
The ability to manually set injuries for players, like in the Show.
Along with editing coaches, allow us to edit their contracts as well so we don't have the Raptors playing 8 million a year (and ruining their coaching situation) to a scout.
Have players coming off their rookie scale contracts look for an extension first, then free agency second. Not many players coming off their rookie scale contracts declare they are going to test free agency, because all of them know that the team they are on have the right of first refusal. Only when teams fail to come to an agreement should they test free agency. Outright declarations by these players do not happen often.
And fix the contract matching situation. Sometimes I'm not even informed that an offer was given to a player that came off his rookie contract.
Contracts should be scaled back a tiny bit. Having a guy who averages 11/5 ask for 10 million a year is a bit bad. Maybe have players compare themselves to similar players and their contracts?Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 - Let's talk about Association improvements
Just a couple things here...
1. Not sure if this is possible but if there is anyway to transport my 2k10 association to 2k11 it would be amazing. I've spent so much time with my 2k10 association and want to continue it. But I am sure once 2k11 comes around I will drop it, and start alllll over again. If this is possible, this would be an awesome feature.
2. Less complaining. Player roles are awesome as long as there is little bit less complaining. Players expect way too much minutes. At this point in Shaq's career he shouldn't be so mad over 24 minutes per game.
3. More realistic standings. One or two teams winning 60+ games, and that rare team winning over 65. Then there's the bottom teams that only win 20 or less games.
4. A better injury system. I love controlling all 30 teams, but the injuries make it difficult. I try to control rotations, so I update them with every injury that a player will not play. But sometimes a player will recover, and I will not be told it was a severe injury, so I won't pay any attention for it, and he will play 0 minutes for 2 weeks before I notice. So if a player didn't play for a week or more, then please say it is a severe injury when he returns or else it's just too much work.I will always, always be a Jets fan. But trust me it hurts.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 - Let's talk about Association improvements
Bring back passing and free throw development drills. Also add some way to improve attributes such as ball security, shot from low post etc. It makes no sense how there are drills and camps to improve close range shooting but no way to improve inside shot???
Re-design the whole staff system the current one is terrible. When hiring head coaches you should be able to see their coach profile.
When scouting rookies you should be able to scout their tendencies.
Improve foul tendencies for players to make simulated stats better.Comment
