Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
The only thing that ever made me throw my controller (My L2 button is now messed up, so i bought a new one) was how much I couldn't play with my CPU and USER sliders even (they were adjusted, but just the same on both sides) once I bumped the difficulty. I lost back-to-back games against the CPU by 40 points, and it wasn't just one thing that went wrong.
Despite having all my matchups set to Never Double Team and Always Play Tight, my AI teammates were coming to throw double teams and the other teams would get wide open shots. I just wish it wasn't so difficult to play with the sliders on the same scale for both the user and cpu.My Dynasties

As jeebs said, check your help defense slider. I turned mine way down which helped a lot. They still double the post player. I always have to take control of the help defender and put him back on his man. Friggin' annoying.Despite having all my matchups set to Never Double Team and Always Play Tight, my AI teammates were coming to throw double teams and the other teams would get wide open shots. Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
In association when you don't import draft classes, all the generated centers are like 7'3" 293 lbs. So dumb. How many guy's in the league today are 7'3"? Yao and Z and Thabeet...I can't think of anyone else."In the morning he would read the Bible with another coach. Then, in the afternoon, he would go out and cheat kids who had probably saved up money from mowing lawns to buy those raffle tickets. That's Jim Tressel."Comment

I could've sworn I heard that generated players would have random accessories. Did they 80-6 it cuz they'd keep getting players with ridiculous looks or something?
And what's with the green blond hair?Comment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
Oh this will be long LOL:
- When you are playing online against a steal masher and you get sucked into a steal animation and your were trying to move back from them.
- When you try to steal and instead of stealing you end up doing a block animation.
- When playing My Player the objectives are what makes the cpu opponent greater. (i.e: Commit no more than 2 turnovers: And everytime you try to dribble or drive you turn the ball over more times in any other game.)
- When you want to do a simple block but they make you grab them and throw them to the ground and you didn't even push the aggressive D trigger.
- When you play a turbo abuser online and after you score or miss a basket none of you players run back down court and they have nothing but open space down court even when your defensive pressure is down.
- When playing My Player and the PG decides he's gonna hold the ball until time runs out and then decided to throw the ball to you when the the clock reaches 1 making your shot percentage drop.
- Missing open shots in My Player
- Missing open shots in Online games
- When you try to move right and it makes you go left (or vice versa) and it leads you straight into a steal.
- When you try to drive down the open lane and it makes turn towards a person trying to take a charge and you end up charging them.
- When you are hot all game and then the momentum shifts and you get cold and the game lets your opponent catch up or beat you.
- When you are open with a fast break and you can just do a simple lay up and they make you try a jumpshot 5 ft from the basket and make you miss.
- When you do an open layup and they make the ball roll off the rim.
- When you tangle up with the ref and you are all over him for like 5 secs.
- When you try to defend your opponent face up and when they drive you move out the way so that the animation turns into a chase down.
- How only one side can be hot and then other HAS to be cold.
- How 2K made an animation that makes you do an up and under to the BACK of the basket.
- Shots allowed to hit UNDER the rim, under the backboard, top of the backboard, side of the backboard and you are nowhere near those things.
- You fake somebody with a pump fake and while they are in the air you are doing the running man while they are still in the air and can't drive past them.
- Sliding defense.
- When you try to drive down the left or right side of the court after a rebound and they slingshot you back to the middle of the court.
- Freethrow line dunks through traffic.
- People online that don't know how to play the game and they do anything to win.
- The ref holding the ball while inbounding after a timeout, forcing you to call ANOTHER timeout.
- That the players have no reflexes. It takes a 1 second to respond to anything.
- When you try to steal the ball, you end up doing a 10-yard dash.
- How when one side has good gameplay while the other side has crappy gameplay.
- When you know somebody is gonna do an ally oop and you try to jump up to block it, you instead do a quarter hop (even with really tall players) and you miss it and they still get the dunk off.
- You box somebody out and when you try to jump up and catch a rebound the person you are blocking out just all of a sudden jumps up and gets the rebound.
- How every shot under the basket is an automatic score.
- How every manual clutch lay up is an automatic score.
- How when you let go of the turbo button and you want to do a simple pro-hop you still end up doing a spin, which results in a traveling or a charge.Last edited by Lawless66007; 06-12-2010, 01:44 PM.Comment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
QFT2K claims to be the # 1 "sim" basketball game. The game should be sim out of the box without sliders. I think the users that have trouble playing should be playing on rookie then. The game should be sim before tinkering with sliders. Sliders are more for tweaking the game for your style of play and not difficulty.
I've been saying this for some time now

People that play realistic basketball should be rewarded for it and cheesers punishedComment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
Love the game, not sure what this^ guys is talking about.
The thing that has almost costed me several controllers isn't an actual gameplay issue. It's the GM's and Coaches in My Player mode.
1) Sub patterns are way off. If i'm 20-10 off the bench, maybe it's not a good idea to put Taj Gibson back into the game because i've played my set number of minutes already.
2) The Trade logic is so off, I watched the TWolves trade Corey Brewer for Grant Hill straight up....3 times! yes they traded back and forth 3 times. Then eventually Ronnie Brewer (Memphis) jumped in and ended up breaking up the party.
3) Once I took over the starting spot at center for the Bulls, why not move Joakim Noah to PF (his secondary position) instead of benching him for a lower rated PF (Taj Gibson). And eventually trading him for Marcin Gortat, which in turn got me benched because Gortat was rated 1 point higher than me, even though I was 15pts 10reb 2blks a game as a rook.
4) After the all-star break in which Derrick Rose and I both played in the Rookie/Soph game and the 2010ASG, for some reason we were benched and our minutes lowered to 8min a game when we got back to our teams. this went on for 1 week for DRose, and 2 weeks for me. Greatly curving off my 18-13-3 avg. DRose was the best rated player at PG and I was the best rated C on the roster, yet we were benched or min got cut.
5) Not being able to DL draft classes into My Player mode. Having to see no name guys take over the NBA is very frustrating.Comment
