Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
oh and CPU teammates make some horrible decisions to switch
I'll have times in transition defense where the computer point guard is crossing half court and I'm catching up with Rondo, but the CPU defender on my team will come up to guard the point guard and leave the basket area wide open for the other team's player to catch the ball and dunkComment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
Finally, I hate how the first free throw still lags on the ps3 version. This has happened for years now, and usually is fixed by one of the patches. It makes shooting free throws a pain when the timing is different between the first and second attemptComment

I really hate the BS charges. This year guys don't have to be set and they will get the charge. I understand this is for those people that like to drive thru heavy traffic in the paint, but it causes people to try this for the whole 94 feet until they get it because they know its way more of a reward than a risk. I really hate this with a passion.'Only The Strong Survive'Comment

The first freethrow is a little laggy on the 360 as well.Comment

This happens when you hold speed down to early. You have to wait for your pg's shoulder sqaure up court....then press speed.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

When I think I have an open layup, but go into that horrible contested shot/throw it up with the left hand body contact animation.Comment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
Everything mentioned in this thread plus the whole CPU jumps in the air to shoot the ball in the paint, you come to play a little help D and switch to the man with in the best position to block the shot, and then the CPU who clearly is in for a bad shot selection will land back on the ground and makes a pass with no call for traveling and results is an open shot for the cpu...it happens all the time to me.Comment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
Yea everyone and their mom can pass out of a shot to someone on the other side of the court when it's the cpu, but when I do it with a decent passer I WILL throw it away 9/10X.'Only The Strong Survive'Comment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
I recently started playing the CPU a week ago. And I will say of those passes that I've seen the CPU. I have to say they were pretty legit. These were the players that have thrown those passes.
Odom>Fisher
Kobe>Gasol
Nash>Amare
Manu>Duncan
(If you can't tell I've been playing mostly NBA Today games)
But these guys were WIDE OPEN outside. But the one thing you should look at is if the player who is catching ball. Hands rating....I've notice they only throw those passes out of shots to players with High Hands ratings. Check it out yourself. I mean it was much much more worst when the game was release.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Of those four, three are decent passers at most. I've seen centers and power forwards that belong on the end of the bench do it. I think the problem is that they raise ratings higher for each level, but hidden, causing more unrealistic sh*t to happen even more than it would on rookie or pro.I recently started playing the CPU a week ago. Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
Exactly. I wanted to like 2k10, but it's so **** frustrating. At times I feel like I'm fighting the controls. The lack of defense is inexcusable. CPU shoots like 60+% because of the ridiculous back-door layups. The lack of Defense, defensive sliding the invisible sideline walls , invisible baseline walls and unblockable BS Layups
Plays being broken for no reason
Defensive settings not taking effect, Horrible rotations on defense
Not being able to call off the intentional foul
U get your bigs to a spot on the floor and try to contest only for the other player to hopstep through them and lay it in
There are just a lot of problems with this game mostly on the defensive end
2k11 will be a hard sell for me
I like to run plays but it seems to easy to me that someone can give it to Lebron and jam it almost every possession and rarely get blocked
2k seems to be punishing players who like to play a sim team game versus those who like to play with one person
I hope 2k doesn't go the way of Madden, and they get their stuff together.Comment

Na man....If I saw a crazy pass from a player who has no business throwing one. I would have said something a long time ago.Of those four, three are decent passers at most. Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
Yes, 2k needs to work on this, but in the meanwhile if you just put backdoor cuts to 0, you will see it maybe once a game, and it isn't a cheap one, it actually looks smooth. You can actually guard somebody off-ball without them cheating you into an easy lay-up. For example, I controlled Ron Artest once on defense the entire game, and held Durant to 16 (next game Carmelo got 39 on me when I was Sefelosha tho).Exactly.
