Well, I don't know...how much was he making back then? Ummm...maybe $10,000 would be a nice fine...?

But still, how dare he wear low socks? I mean, back then he probably couldn't get into clubs, wasn't invited to any parties and lost all his friends.

One player that it is probably hard to create is Vinnie Johnson. This guy could make nearly impossible shots - several in a row. Not athletic, can't really jump, only 6'2", not a sharp-shooter...yet he could score from anywhere against anyone.
I'm watching the 1991 playoffs (Pistons-Bulls, game 1) and Vinnie is making shot after shot - in impossible situations. No matter who guards him and how many guard him - he just keeps scoring. That's just unbelieveable! You can't ask for more from your bench players. That's just pure awesomeness!

I remember that game--I had it on VHS for a long time. Jordan started jawing with a Mark Aguire (sp?) early on. Then MJ got an "And 1" basket and on his way to the free throw line he talked even more junk to Aguire.

Yeah, that's the one. And then Rodman started trashing MJ and they went on for a little bit...lol. Good times, even though it was pretty much the end of the Bad Boys era, they still had their pride.

There was an off ball moment (actually there were many of them) that I had to watch several times to realize what was going on there: Some Pistons player was dribbling, while some Bulls players were running the court to catch their players - and Laimbeer touching/hitting anyone going in the paint. Then, MJ went there, trying to get to his player, and Laimbeer elbowed him, so MJ caught Lamb's arm - twisting it behind his back, then kept running to his player. It didn't really affect Laimbeer mentally, but it caused him to be busy and react slower to the airball (shot by Isiah), so he had no chance of keeping it alive - and therefor an easy rebound for Horace.

I had to watch it several times to notice the physicality you may have missed if you weren't watching it closely.

That was the statement game for the Bulls in that series... They never looked back.

Vinnie was the original "microwave", not too tall but very physical and strong. played the 1, 2 and some times even the 3 position.

Is Vinnie in? Anyone happen to see him in 2K11? It's just not the Bad Boys without Vinnie!!!

There has been no confirmation about the Pistons team... We will have to wait for the game's release and find out.

cool thread. what's the purpose of a calf sleeve? Why would you want one?
Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.

I don't really want one, never even wore it...haha...

But seriously, it's because it's a part of the accessories NBA players been wearing for years, and big part of MJ's signature appearance in the game. If you have knee pads and forearm bands, no reason calf sleeves shouldn't be in the game (and hopefully without the sock bug).

Calf sleeves are used for preventing shin splints, cramping, vericose veins, leg pain and other calf injuries. Offers support and stabilization to reduce likelihood of further strain or tearing That is what they are for.

I still don't underdstand if he asked about the purpose of calf sleeves in real life or in the game. Sure, it has a purpose in real life, but in the game it's meant to reflect the look. If players wear it in real life, no reason they shouldn't have it in the game - along with socks.

Well for MJ, it was specially designed so the upper part (red part) was used to prevent the constant tendinitis he had in his left knee and the lower part for the things LeBronistheKing said.
