Can someone ask Mike if Scottie Pippen got his own signature gather, shots, dribble, size ups, dunk, and lay up packages? Here are some good examples......

Some calls shouldnt be consistently called. A great example should the and 1 animation (Where you get the defender in the air. And draw the foul). It shouldn't be called 100% of the time. The same should go for moving screens. We all know things are not called 100% of the time. Charges aren't called 100% of the time. They is always the gray area. It should be just like that.
If I have defensive position on the guy that I'm guarding and he barrels through me and there is not a charge call, then that completely eliminates the point of even having the charge call at all in the game. If one is allowed to set moving screens, again it undermines the entire purpose of having those calls in the game if it is random. The game essentially becomes unfair is the rules of basketball are not enforced. The problem in the NBA is that mistakes are made.Comment

So.. basically what you are saying is that the foul calls should be random?

They don't call charge every single time someone falls on the floor. We have seen this before. Shannon Brown in the playoffs almost caught a nasty dunk on JRich. But it was a obvious charge...that they called a blocking foul. Stuff like that.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: New Info From Mike Wang's Twitter and confirmation of changed sig shots!
Nope that's not what I'm saying. I did say "some" right? I was talking more in regards to off-ball screens. I love the pick and roll moving screens calls. I just didn't want to call a screen play and then all of a sudden I hear whistle for a illegal screen which is not my fault. Its like when the CPU gets 3 second. I didn't tell him to camp out in the paint.
This is a horrible idea and I do not see why anyone would want this in a game. As for your Richardson example? Are you fing serious? A clear charge that are called blocking fouls? Again, completely undermines the purpose of officiating. You might be happy with a bad call costing you a game that you otherwise should've won, but I think most would be pretty annoyed (again, by "some" it means that it could happen at any point, otherwise, what is even the purpose?)
With the game being as physical as it is today, bad officiating is one of the things that KILLS competitive basketball. The 2006 finals were unwatchable for me, and everyone else who weren't riding Miami's jock at the time. Same with this year's NCAA tournament. How you could possibly want intentional bad officiating in a game is beyond me. Things like miscalled charges? Are you ****ing kidding me? Those can change the outcome of the game, and you want random occurrances to potentially dictate who wins and loses? For what? So it better reflects reality?Last edited by drewbs; 09-01-2010, 05:51 PM.Comment
