Re: New Info From Mike Wang's Twitter and confirmation of changed sig shots!
The players jumpers were not slow. The distance defenders play towards shooters and the speed at which they recover was too fast!!!
There needs to be more space. On the trailer the defensive spacing doesn't seem to have been changed. Defenders are basically face guarding everyone instead of sinking into the lane.
Last year the game played too spastic unless defensive help strength was lowered and quickness slider set to 0.
Hopefully they tweaked the defensive spacing as it would cure the problems with blocked/slow jump shots.
I do agree with the defenders closing out too fast/unrealistic. To go along with your point, this is what I said in another thread:
Another problem contesting shots in 2K10 is they don't take into account body momentum/wingspan/athletic ability in 2K10. Seems like 2K11 will incorporate this.
Also in real life if you contest too closely or aggressively, usually a slap of the hand/arm occurs or you bump into the offensive player. This of course will mean a foul. In the IGN trailer Jeff Green fell down when the defender contested his jumper too closely. This never occured in 2K10.
Last but not least was some of the jumpshots were so slow and unrealistic looking that they would always get blocked.
Shot contest was a problem in 2K10 but I believe 2K11 will be more realistic.
We already know about momentum jumpers being added to the game. Along with momentum jumpers after reading this preview, it seems like jumpshots will look different depending on how long you hold the button/shot stick. This will be useful when defenders are playing tight/need to get a shot off/etc.Comment

Wow man, I can't believe you brought back the Flight Brothers...Sad that duo(for those who don't know Iverson/Hughes) couldn't co-exist.Comment

Still praying that you guys change kobe shot, it seriously needs changing. I love you guys work, but it's a bit frustrating playing with a player i grew up watching from Day 1 when his shot isn't even accurate.
Take a look at this.
I don't know how to make video's appear on OS, but anyway, kobe shot isn't very accurate in 2k10, it's completely different. You guys don't know how great it would be if you can change his shot.
ThanksComment

Re: New Info From Mike Wang's Twitter and confirmation of changed sig shots!
Im hoping they changed Kobe's shot also, his stance wasn't correct and he did not get enough elevation on his shot. I hated his shot in 2K10, I usually assigned him a different shot. Also Im glad to hear they've updated MJ's fadeaway from the trailer, it didn't look correct either. good news.Comment

Re: New Info From Mike Wang's Twitter and confirmation of changed sig shots!
that is so nice to read....i noticed that they are putting a lot more work into sig shots this year which is really great......really hope they fixed Carlos Boozer's shot(was way too slow and easy to block just like Stephen Jackson's shot.and with my fingers crossed am hoping that stop and pop jumpers are more reflective on users that use em a lot like steve nash and Manu type playersHumans fear what they dont understand, hate what they cant concur i guess its just the theory of manComment
