2kcam is horrible to me. All that flipping angles every change of possession is weird. Broadcast is my default cam.

Broadcast cam. I love playing NBA2K as if I was watching a real live NBA game.Follow me on Twitter: @domidomdomz

Re: Poll: What camera do you use?
I'm kinda surprised at the results, but I think it has to do with the type of players who visit this website. I'd venture to guess if you do the exact same poll on the 2k website of hoopsgaming it would weigh heavily in favor of 2k cam.
I would bet 80-90% of the top ranked players use 2k cam. That's the cam that will allow you to get the most steals and stealing the ball is the only consistent way to play defense online. Stealing isn't my style, I'm more of a shotblocker which is much easier in broadcast. For me the cam comes down to defensive style. I can play offense on pretty much any cam, but I can't play my style of defense on any cam.Comment

2K cam for me. I see the court better, react better, it feels better to me. I generally just play better on it. However if im watching two people play I rather watch them play on broadcast cause it looks like a real NBA broadcast.Comment

Re: Poll: What camera do you use?
i used to use Broadcast because its what the default was and like others i thought it looked like an NBA broadcast. However, last year i switched to 2k and i'm glad i did. Not only do the players look better but the animations as well, you can actually see everything going on. Plus you lose that tendancy to just do stuff in the middle of the court or side nearest to the camera because you can't see where the 3 point line/out of bounds lines are at the top and you can get a better sense of where the players are in relation to one another using the 2k camera. It made the experience so much better last year.Comment

Re: Poll: What camera do you use?
the controls are much better when using a camera that is behind your player (like the My Player cam) because the direction you move the sticks in actually relates to the real direction...broadcast is a pain because dribbling move are hard to do because moving laterally does not actually correspond to right and left...also it's way harder to see the floor on broadcast because the players are all overlapping eachother and it looks like a big jumbled mess of players...i don't know how anyone can use broadcast...i feel sorry for those who do. If you use broadcast, you really need to try a "behind the player" camera, like 2k cam or whatever. the controls are much better and you can see passing angles better.
i think a lot of people use broadcast for the very shallow reason that it looks like a game on TV...unfortunately it's much harder to play the game with that angle. people need to get over the game looking like a TV broadcast and use the angle that makes the game most enjoyable. you are really missing out on the controls if you use broadcast...you're just making the game harder for yourself.Last edited by blues rocker; 08-30-2010, 09:35 PM.Comment

Re: Poll: What camera do you use?
Honestly, I always used 2K to make sure I can perform the moves I want to perform. But now Mike said irrespective of the camera, the controls stay the same. So if you go left on 2K camera and go left on Broadcast, its the same direction.
So I'll play TV broadcast now.Comment
