^Agree. All that elimination of two 2P's talk is just product of an Elite "Placebo".
Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

As long as your animations work you don't need physics.

Speaking of animations i just saw this on youtube that show the start of a nice Rondo animation.

        <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7xGHwCw_V7I?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7xGHwCw_V7I?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

Not sure if this was new or not but i hadn't seen it before.....

i totally agree that 2P anims are a necessary thing for the foreseeable future but like Jano and Mike touched on the secret is to make those 2 player interactions very short so the player still feels in control. I think the way to go is to keep adding animations so eventually that just about every user input has a realistic responsive animation that accurately represents what would happen in a real game then it looks as realistic as can be.

That clip is from the controls trailer that was released last week.

Cool. I can't keep up with all this info this year. A good problem to have.

Yea in teh game though they had rebound ratings position was everything in that game, I've played games against my boy who used teh lakers and i used the sixers and would get two or three rebounds cause i'd shoot a three ( yea i know the sixers ranked last in 3pt last year} and it come off the glass quick and dalembert would get the ball simply because he was in the right position....

You can see it in jaosming vid he posted....its in the beginning...the players get hit but they don't react

Not suprised at this at all.

I didnt fall into the hype of believing all games were void of all physics whatsoever before this year. Argue about the execution all you want, but I can defintely see areas where it has come into play through prior releases

So based on where a player get hit, the physics will select a anim from the animation pool and play it back? Also is their alot of animations to choose from?

To what extent though? All games that require the player to be moving in order to perform a dunk use physics. In fact, games since the 90's have used velocity and momentum to determine animations.

Thats what I'm wondering. Apex makes a good point about the physics at 4:20.

nice video review in all. I disagree with the bit about protecting the dribble. 2k11 added that and its awfully tough to create something that doesnt have clipping and standard animation tech.

As long as the 2P animations aren't automatically triggered, I'll be alright.
