Re: NBA 2K11 Isomotion/Shot Stick Help (360)
I just started playing 2k11 two days ago. It's a fun game but I'm having a lot of trouble so far. I feel as if the animations play out a bit too slowly sometimes.
Could be that I'm just bad, though. xD Anyways, can anyone give me some basic pointers to start out with? I've learned to run plays a bit and that has helped. I'm overwhelmed with the amount of moves I can pull off and being that there is so many I'm finding it hard to do exactly what I want when I want.
I was a big 2k player from 2k6-2k9 my peak being 2k7 and dropping off each year after that. I played a ton of Live 10 and got used to the responsiveness of the dribbling in that game which is probably why I always think I'm hindered by isomotion in 2k now.Last edited by chadskee; 02-25-2011, 11:50 PM.

Re: NBA 2K11 Isomotion/Shot Stick Help (360)
The only two ISO moves I have a problem with is Half Spin and In and Out. at first I could pull In and Out with no problem, now every time I try to pull it off I end up doing a Double Cross. Half Spins always end up doing a full Spin. I can pull it off in Games 2-4x accidently. But in Dribble Course, I cant pick it offComment

For the Half-Spin I find it easiest if you rotate the stick kinda slowly when doing the move, instead of trying to do it rapidly. I can pull the move off about 8 out of 10 times. In and Out is rather simple, just quickly flick the stick away from ball hand, then back. Whereas with the double cross you flick the stick in rhythm.Comment

those are the two animations i have the most trouble with. in n out and double cross. i know it says in and out in rhythm but it seems like i'm doing the same thing for the in and outmyplayer:
(1)5'10 PG, drafted 2nd round by the knicks. moved to the clippers in season 2
(2)7'5 C, drafted 26th in 1st round by Thunder. After winning the championship with the Thunder, I signed with the Chicago Bulls
NBA - Magic, Kings
NFL - 49ersComment

How can i do the Kobe pivot spin? I did it one time somehow and couldn't do it anymore.
Edit now i maybe figured how to do it but sometimes it doesn't do it. Just does some basic flick not the spin. EDIT:2 now i figured but still can't do everytime. I guess it takes perfect timing?Last edited by ONEFORALL; 03-07-2011, 01:44 AM.Comment

Flick the stick very rapidly for the in and out move, but to do the double cross you want to make a more drawn out movement of left to right.
For the double cross don't flick the stick. Move it to the left and then move it to the right.Comment

For you guys that play on broadcast cam do you have any tips with the isomotion? I have been practicing my butt off and I still can't get everything. One problem I have is trying to remember everything, I get frustrated.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Isomotion/Shot Stick Help (360)
I've played broadcast cam for as long as I can remember and now it's just second nature for me to execute moves at will. All I can say is practice, then practice some more. Point the stick where you want the ball to go is about the only way I can explain it. The more court time you have the easier it becomes and the less thought you have to put into each move.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Isomotion/Shot Stick Help (360)
Ok while playing a crew game, I saw someone post up at the top of the paint...do a fake towards the left, then pivot back around all the way to the right and shoot. It didn't look like an up and under, because they rotated all the way around on their pivot (like from 10 o'clock counter clockwise to 2 o'clock)
Anyone know how to do this, or what I'm talking about?Comment

This?
Am I close? When you say fake I'm not sure if you mean the little shoulder shim or the fake that's in the gif above.
