Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)

i have to average exactly 15 rpg in my last 19 games to clinch my 1000th rebound for the season...should be doable if i dont get into foul trouble...12 minute quarters definitely help

looks like im well on my way in becoming a 3x rebounding champion(i know it's not a milestone in the game or a record but im coming for your streak rodman)....lol okay maybe that's being a bit overzealous...that's a lot of years but we'll see

Does anyone here play within the offense and not force their game?

I just played a game where I let the CPU run the plays all game and I just did what they wanted me to do.

        I ended up with:

        16 pts
        9 reb
        6 assists
        1 steal
        6/9 fg (66%)
        2/4 3pt (50%)

and I was Player of the Game.

I think most people would be happy averaging those numbers.

I know its an ego boost averaging a triple double, leading the league in scoring etc. but its nice to let your teammates play well and play within the offense.

The mode would probably get boring after 1 season if I averaged 30 pts 15 reb 15assists anyway.

It seems that you guys all cancel plays and dominate, just wondered if anyone played their role and what numbers they are averaging?

You need to bump up INSIDE SHOT. If you look at all the players who are small and great inside like Allen Iverson etc. they all have INSIDE SHOT at like 99.

I think it helps contested shots/adjusting layups to avoid the block/etc.

i have a sf-sg who plays for chicago ( 88ovr) and i normally let the pt guard call the plays and see how the game plays out. I feel the more you keep your teamates involved the higher your chemistry is and the better they play during the game.

We just traded a First round pick for Tracy Mcgrady. It doesnt make to much sense. We have Thorton. I play alot of of SG because of CP3.

i play on 12 min quarters. its funny when i play sg i score a fair amount more as they tend to run more plays my way. playing as sf i average more rebounds and less points but they seem to be more involved. through 13 gms this 2nd season my averages are 20.0 pts 14 rebounds 5 assists 1 block. not stellar numbers but we are 12-1 to start the season on a 12 game winning streak so somethings working.

                  top player attributes

                  inside scoring 95
                  shot close 92
                  med 90
                  3pt 85
                  off dribble 95
                  in traffic 95
                  vert 99
                  dunking 99
                  stam 95
                  hands 91

its easy to go out and score 75 pts and blow out teams but keeping everyone involved and spreading the ball seems to be alot more fun for me in my 2nd season.

Hey guys... first time posting on this forum. Glad to join this community.

First time playing a basketball video game since NBA Live 2000 (for N64!). Created a player with the purpose of playing post (SF/PF/C), but when I created an SF, the team (Bucks) had me playing SG a lot of the time (not good since my guy is only 75 from mid-range). So I created a small 6'8" center with decent jump shooting (faceup style) and got drafted by Detroit so I would most often play PF (since Wallace is a better pure center). Traded to the Jazz after a dozen games or so. Currently 6th man, averaging just under 8 points in 28 MPG. 4.2 RPG and 2.2 APG. Leading the team in ORPG with 2.8.

i find the "Waves" animation to work perfectly...it was recommended by Streets and he was shooting around .500 from 3pt and he barely touched his consistency attribute....
That meter never shows up for me. Its' just the stamina bar.

Also, isn't going back to pro default makes the game easy?

I see a lot of ppl posting they got like 55ppg, and I am too much of a sim head to want to up that many points when my guy is just 72ovr. I currently play at all star, and my team, the bucks sucks bad. CPU calls the same plays over and over, I carry the team and still can't get no wins. Team traded for Nash who is horrible with the passes. He has more TO than AST. I don't know what management was thinking but then again Jennings is a ball hog from what I expereienced.

I actually managed with the Bucks. I despise Maggette and took over Jennings job. Bogut is by far my favorite, he is a monster in the paint. I managed to put up good stats on all-star diff but if you play another position than PG I can feel your frustration.

Yea Bogut is a beast down low. Management came to me for suggestions on which players they should target. I'm a starting SF. So I wanted to get a PF that could defend in the perimeter and a decent SG.

I'm like 20-38, yet Im averaging 24.7ppg 7reb 1.8ast. Even when I decided to press the defense and get assists, the highest I got was 8, 7 in the first qtr. So I was thinking, triple double plus a win. Every time I passed off, my teammates would miss. So no triple double, lost that game. I ended up with a 22pts 12reb 8ast A+ teammate grade stat line with yet another loss cuz my teammates suck.

What makes it even more frustrating is when the cpu calls plays for LUC RICHARD MBAH A MOUTE and he's not even a threat to score. Somehow, Steve Nash is the starting pg when I loaded up a new game.

haha I feel ya, do you have a high teammate grade for them to pass you the ball whenever you call for it? I usually break up plays and P&R to Bogut. All the other guys are useless. They traded Salmons and Redd mid season for Ben Gordon and Rip so the new offense has helped me out a lot. YES, ask for a PF since Gooden and Mbah Moute are too small and "offenseless."

My teammate avg is A-. I didn't know that tied in to calling for ball since every time I did, I would get a dock off my grade. Because I had a few open looks to the rim in which I was expecting the ball back but never got it. I thought that affected awareness. So I guess I should call for the pass regardless then. I am playing the game all wrong.

I asked for a trade with my 6'8 small forward and the Knicks sent me to the Bulls. I've found my shot since I've been traded and I have scored 30+ in my last 6 games, including 40 in a key game vs the Cavs. I'm only rated 51 overall after 33 games, and I'm a pretty bad defender due to my low speed and quickness.

The Bulls are a pretty fun team to play with. Before I was moved to starter, I got subbed in at SG a lot which was pretty bad because Luol Deng is one of those guys who shoots every time he touches the ball. Now he comes off the bench and is very effective. Derrick Rose is amazing. He has cold stretches when he can't shoot but then he has so many options to pass to. Boozer and Noah are a dominant frontcourt. We haven't had a big man dominate us yet.

Also I was looking at the MVP list and #1 was LeBron, 2 was Josh Smith, 3 was Wade, 4 was Joe Johnson, and 5 was Bosh. Weird how 2 teams (Hawks and Heat) dominate the list. I am 2nd to John Wall in ROY voting.
