That is what I'm gonna do now. I could probably get the 99 back in a couple games anyway, and I need the boost on ball handling or passing because they have low caps for SF.

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
as for the most difficult to achieve thus far in my career, it would have to be that ~30-30-30 performance i did last season....
in season 5...although not my first quadruple double, this was the best one i had from an overall defensive standpoint...only downside are the 5 turnovers i had

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
i wouldnt worry too much about that...5 seasons into my player mode and im still listed as a starter....but i have heard people saying how maybe you have to be the only star player on your team to have that role switched on your playercard(i havent played on any team without at least 1 other start player)....honestly, i think 2k didnt go too far into depth with this mode and this particular aspect was neglectedComment

Just finished my first season earlier today, was drafted in the 1st round to the Thunder but moved to Heat. Beat the Spurs in the NBA finals but never won any individual awardsComment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
whenever i do a kickout pass...it's not the result of a change in my shot selection...i usually have the intentions of passing as i drive to the basket...
my turnovers are only due to quick errant passes that get deflect/intercepted...canned block animations, bad passing from teammates, and stepping out of bounds after a rebound....Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
for the most part my mind is made up when i decide to do something on offense....if i drive the ball and was looking for a dunk or layup...then i'll follow through with that original plan...if i miss a field goal or get blocked then it's fine because my FG% gets too high if i dont miss some shots...

I get at least 5 to 6 TO's....but 12-15 assist a game is a fair trade offMy random gameplay youtube:

Man, destroyed the Wiz. 96-72. My player (center Lakers) 37p/19r 16-4 now overall.
I honestly, truly, hate the lakers irl but I love winning in this game! Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
I dunno if anyone has been able to get drafted above 8 yet, but it seems like I have a fighting chance:
A few things. First of all...there was some hex editing involved but as you can see my guy is only a 71 and not a 99 and I actually still have to earn skill points. My athletic attributes and dunking/layups are higher, also ball handling got a boost. Basically any skills that rookies comes into the league with, but shooting, awareness ratings (except for emotion) and some defensive ratings are still low. I have no post game whatsoever, and if it's not an easy pass...I can't make the pass.
But the key to getting your draft stock insanely high is playing on both ends. I stuck to Aminu and Johnson like a pair of booty cutters to a well put together rump. I didn't force my offense, and I avoided too many "hold ball too long" situations by running as much give-and-go as I could. And if you can get your stock up this high you can maintain this position by just putting up solid numbers in your next few games.
I'll actually draft this guy a little later and record it just in case I actually go above 8. I've read on the 'net that it's possible but never saw any proof, we'll see if it happens.
By the way, my settings are All-Star, 8 mins, Simulation. You can try to play on Pro, but good luck getting any assists (I averaged 7 in the 3 games) because your teammates turn stupid as hell on Pro.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
I know it's your My Player.. but what's the point of the game if you're hexing your attributes already? Of course you can get drafted earlier in the first round, because your stats are higher than normal.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
You can put up 50 points, 25 rebounds, 15 assists on 12 min quarters but if you let your man score 30 points, grab 15 boards, and shoot 50% and higher, your stock will max out around 13-14. This isn't the first guy I've hex edited and I've never gotten my stock this high.
I kept replaying the first game over and over and over and trying to figure out what causes your stock to go that high. I tried low turnover games with good numbers, triple double games with 20 points, 30, 40 points...10 rebounds, 15, 20, etc. High assists with a lot of "hold ball too long" hits.
Then I had the game where I avoided any negative teammate rating hits and I played above average defense. I never let the CPU switch me off my man, I stuck to him and tried to blanket him. Aminu finished the game with 8 points and 6 rebounds shooting less than 40%. That was also the game where I had zero "hold ball too long" ratings and got 6 assists, my points and rebounds were like 37 and 20 I think (numbers I put up before but never with the defensive effort and "good" team play.) I get back to the home screen and I'm slated for the 6th overall pick.
Basically what I think it is, is this....to get your stock this high...it's not solely the numbers you put up and the A+ teammate rating, but it's HOW you get those numbers and teammate rating. Just getting them isn't enough, you have to play D and also move the ball on offense and score without it being dribble-dribble-drive.
I've been editing my players since 2K10 (I've never taken them online.) I think it's foolish that you have to "learn" how to be a high flyer once you're already in the NBA. I don't think Blake, LBJ, Wade, DeRozan, etc. learned how to run fast, jump high, and dunk hard once they got to the league.
For you to tell me that my stock is that high because I edited my guy you'd also have to assume that this is my first My Player dude and not like my 15th. I always give myself enough skill points to raise my athletic, dunking, layups, and ball handling skills and it brings my overall to about 68-70, then with the drills and skill points I get from games, I can get my overall up to a 71-72 depending on where I use the points. I've done it countless times since October, only once has my stock been this high.Last edited by nuckles2k2; 03-01-2011, 11:04 AM.Comment

Re: Your Myplayer Career (NBA 2K11)
I'm not saying you're stock is that high because you gave yourself additional skill points.
I'm saying you're getting those stats that bring up your stock rating because of those skill points you gave yourself in the beginning. If you didn't raise up your dunking, layups, etc.. You woulnd't be dunking over NBA players and scoring 30 points a game while playing 15 minutes.
And you're wrong.. I never "edited" my player and played 10 min quarters and managed to get drafted 10th by the Pacers.
Its your game so you can play it the way you want to, but to come off as your achieving something after you altered the skill points BEFORE your MP season ever started is IMO cheesing.Comment
