Lol you totally missed my point, but that's ok. I'll simplify it, the less things you have listed in "The Bad" when you go to game analysis, along with good numbers during the game = higher draft stock. Simple. It has nothing to do with your overall, and solely putting up good numbers won't do it either.
I only mentioned the editing because I knew people would see the "71" and suddenly get all angry. You can call it cheesing, but then I guess guys like Luke Walton and JJ Redick think LBJ, Wade, DeRozan, and Griffin are cheesing as well. Some dudes are extremely athletic and have to work on their game, while other guys might not be blessed with with those athletic skills but they're good at the fundamentals to the point where they're effective at the pro level. If I want an unathletic, fundamentals guy, I'll make a 3-point specialist. Some of the least athletic guys in the NBA have better athletic ratings in this game than what most of the subcategories start with...i find that stupid. JJ Redick will never, at any point in his life, be as athletic as Nate Robinson or Blake Griffin. But in 2K11, you can take a dude who's slightly less athletic than JJ and make him almost as athletic as either of those two if you play long enough and have the right Jordan sneakers...that seems more cheesy than making my scoring forward....able to move like an NBA prospect. The day I see someone come out of college with the handles of a Renaldo Balkman and half way thru their first season they're breaking ankles and mixing people up like...is the day that everyone who is "anti making your guy a viable pro prospect from the get go" wins this argument.
But yea...your whole outlook on just the stats is what I think the flawed logic is. I think people will settle for that "hold ball too long" as long as there's an assist at the end, and I'm saying that I think that's what holds those 11th overall picks from being 8th overall picks. The "game analysis" screen might be more important than the player card screen that just shows your averages. How you got your numbers seems to be just as important as actually achieving the numbers.
